Chicken and potatoes.

I usually cook my chicken with rice. However, I’m trying to lose weight, and potatoes are lower in calories. Typically, I would sear the chicken and then add the rice, tiny noodles, and raisins, along with water. The total cooking time is about 15 minutes of searing and 25 minutes of simmering with the rice.

If I were to sear the chicken in a pan and then bake it with potatoes in the oven instead, how would this affect the cooking time? Also should I cook the potatoes before hand or leave them until after I’m done searing the chicken. What temperature should I put my oven on?

What convinced you to make the switch?

Reddit keeps recommending me this sub. The entire premise seems absurd to me. I eat a lot of fruits and drink a lot of coffee and quoting those things would be very unpleasant. Also I am unsure how my stool would be affected by this diet.

Minarchy, Madness and 3ayb

(Don’t judge me I haven't written since highschool. I don't have much to do today and I felt inspired by vivi. Members of r/ExJordan often attempts to argue against religious ideas in an attempt to disprove it. A common sentiment seems to be that change will come through critique. I believe that someone should be able to create another narrative for people to follow behind. I personally value freedom and would love to argue in favor of it.)

Adam after eating the fruit of good evil walked out of heaven a freeman. Today, man walks in chains, bound by human-made constructs: such as religion, the state, culture, and morality. Through his the realization of his own ideas man has continued to impede freedom in both thought and action. Man has robbed himself of the right to be mad, and thus of the right to be free.

The restrictions on personal liberty in contemporary Jordan are too great in both magnitude and complexity to comprehensively examine within the scope of a single post. The task of  discussing specific  offenses required is therefore left for future posts. This post instead aims to discuss and define an idealistic world with those restrictions. However without clear critiques of obvious defects found in the Jordanian culture this post is insufficiently substantiated.

The absence of social liberty is inherently objectionable, similarly to how it is the moral duty of a slave questioning his master, it is therefore also the moral duty for a freeman to question his society. A society that places obedience above self-determination risks producing individuals who prioritize conformity over creativity and social acceptance over personal authenticity. This dynamic can be observed in the widespread influence of concepts such as *3ayb*, where social disapproval may function as an informal mechanism of control.
Much like entropy in a physical system, a society that lacks mechanisms for renewal, adaptation, and the free exchange of ideas may gradually lose its capacity for growth. Social progress therefore requires not the elimination of culture or tradition, but the preservation of sufficient liberty for individuals to challenge, reinterpret, and transform the structures that shape their lives. Jordan today is in what can only be explained as experiencing both long found economic and social stagnation.  Wages are low and employment is high. The greatest minds and hardest workers are being exported abroad.
For the purposes of this post it is important to define freedom. Here freedom shall be defined as the ability to act or think without impediment. Although some arguments exist for freedom being limited as to the extent which permits order. That freedom must end in specified bounds. Those for lack of a better word are bashful ideas. Freedom exists as a platonic concept separate of all of man's attempts to tarnish. It is essential that nothing less than true dionysian freedom can be understood as freedom. One must be un-modest when describing freedom as the idea exists only in rejection of social constructs and the embrace of instinctual desires and passions. True  dionysian freedom encourages aestheticism and materialism and recognizes the self as the highest authority. Essentially madness becoming a virtue.

It is necessary to envision freedom as not the act of a white dove escaping its cage, but rather of a tragic hero changing into a windmill. For the dove was never free even before it entered its cage, it was forced to abide by the rules of nature, to mate and migrate as the seasons demanded. The tragic hero, however, represents a different conception of freedom: not freedom from all external conditions, but freedom through the conscious rejection of all inherited ideas. Freedom as an act of rebellion against what seems logical to a well accustomed member of society. Madness.

Liberty, in its purest sense, is anarchy. This should not be confused with chaos or disorder. Rather, anarchy is best understood as a utopian ideal: a society organized without hierarchy or coercive authority. From this perspective, anarchy rejects all forms of tyranny imposed upon the individual, whether through the state's monopoly on the legitimate use of violence or through systems of private property that grant some individuals economic authority over others. Achieving such lofty ambitions may be too far out of reach for current readers, therefore there is not much need to discuss it other than to create a benchmark which can be compared to current forms of governance.

The political system that lies between contemporary systems of government and anarchy is often described as minarchy. With minarchy being the minimization of power afforded to authorities or groups over the lives of individuals However, because of Zeno's paradox, no society can meaningfully be described as "minarchist" in a final sense. Any society progressing toward anarchy must necessarily pass through intermediate stages. Minarchy, therefore, is better understood as a transitional phase rather than an end state. To reach this state of madness, all principles and values must be questioned.

Do you believe in any distinction between soul and body?

I believe there’s a distinction between the part of me that experiences and the part that acts or thinks.

For simplicity, let’s call the part of me that experiences my soul. Whether a physically identifiable soul exists is irrelevant to our discussion. If it would be more convenient for you, let’s assume that the part of me that thinks and the part that experiences are simply different parts of my mind.

To illustrate the difference between soul and body, let’s consider the process of thinking. It feels highly peculiar. Like if a separate entity a separate entity or muse telepathically beams my thoughts into my mind. I have no control over where or what my thoughts take me. Even while writing this I feel as if I have no ability to control which words enter mind and are released onto the paper.

Another example is the nature of action. All actions I’ve experienced have already occurred. I have no control over stopping an action from happening because I exist in a point of time beyond it and have no way of returning to where it started. I am not the person that did the action as he has no recollection of it. Therefore the fact of me experiencing the action separates me from the person who has caused it.

Thus I can only conclude that I am experiencing the acts and thoughts of my body.

M4F looking for a long term relationship

Reddit keeps recommending me this sub. I am hoping the almighty algorithm knows what’s best.

I’m 21 years old , physically active average height, extroverted but very anxious. I like reading, and have a super cute cat.

I’m socially liberal and I’m hoping to find someone similar.

I’m seeking someone intriguing. A strong-willed individual who enjoys a hobby, whether it’s sports or art, doesn’t really matter. However, I would hate being with someone who doom scrolls all day.

I also am not a smoker and would prefer it if my partner isn’t.

If this caught your attention send me a dm or don’t.
