My review of Hell’s Kitchen season 6

Alright so I just finished this season. I thought it was very good. The perfect mix of drama and good cooking. The challenges were also really good too. The one where they had to cook for kids was a personal favorite of mine.

I also really liked the cast this season. Dave especially he was the GOAT. I’m so glad he won. It’s so impressive that he won with only one hand. The only other Hell’s Kitchen season I’ve seen all the way through besides that one was season 22. Which is the American Dream one.

I watched that season as it was airing. I barely remember it. I really like Kitchen Nightmares so I was looking for a good Hell’s Kitchen season to watch since I also like Hell’s Kitchen. Just not as much as Kitchen Nightmares.

My bff is really into Gordon Ramsey shows as well so he recommended season 6 of Hell’s Kitchen to me. It definitely didn’t disappoint. He also recommended season 12 as well after I finished season 6. I’ll watch that eventually. But yeah season 6 was really good 9/10.

My review of Disclosure Day

I thought Disclosure Day was really hard to follow and really long. They did a bad job at explaining a lot of stuff. I didn’t really enjoy it. Some of the CGI was cool though. 5/10.

My review of Best in Show

I thought this movie was okay. I liked how over the top everyone in the movie was but the plot of winning a dog show I don’t really care about. The plot didn’t really connect with me. I thought the judges banter with each other was funny though. 6/10.

My review of National Treasure Book of Secrets

I thought this movie was just okay. Not bad or anything but it just feels like a worse retread of the first movie. I felt like it didn’t really do anything new. The gang coming to France and England was cool I guess.

Though they weren’t really there for that long. Just a little to move the plot forward. I didn’t really connect with the plot of Ben having to prove his ancestor Thomas Gates was innocent and didn’t participate in the Lincoln assassination.

That just seems uninteresting and forced to me. Ben and Abigail breaking up off screen in between the movies and then getting back together at the end of this movie was lame. Just keep them together if you’re going to have them get back together in the end anyway.

The ending of the movie just felt too happy with both Ben and Abigail getting back together and Ben’s parents getting back together after having not spoken to each other in 31 years too. I didn’t dislike the movie it was still an enjoyable time.

I just thought it was just a worse version of the first movie. Overall I would get National Treasure Book of Secrets a 6/10.

My review of Spider-Noir

Normally I’m not into detective shows but I thought this show was really good. I really liked the balancing of Ben’s detective life and him reluctantly being the Spider. All of the characters were really good. Robbie, Silvermane, Janet and Ben are standouts. I watched the whole show in black and white.

It really added to the atmosphere of the show since it takes place in the 1930s. Which I think was a perfect setting for the show. It’s interesting to see a bygone era through superhero lenses. Seeing classic Spider-Man villains reimagined as mob bosses was really cool too.

I might rewatch the show in color eventually. That could be fun. But yeah I really enjoyed Spider-Noir. I’d give in a 9/10.

My review of National Treasure

I thought it was a pretty good movie. I liked how it was a mix of a treasure hunt movie, a heist movie, and a historical movie. It was cool. I’m looking forward to watching the second movie soon.

My review of BLiND EYES

I thought this song was pretty good. I like the theme of trying to make up for your mistakes because you were greedy but you can’t make it up. I also really liked the switching between Japanese and English too. That was really cool.

MAH’s singing is great as always. The female feature HANABIE was good too. This is the first time I’ve heard of her. But her vocals were good even if I don’t understand them because they’re all in Japanese. The music video was great too. It felt like an acid trip.

SiM always has really unique music videos. I really like that. I’m surprised they released this song so soon. There was a year and 2 month gap between CHAMPiONS and FiVE TiMES DEAD (thanks to my wallet.) But there was only a month and 3 week long gap between FiVE TiMES DEAD (by my wallet.) And BLiNDEYES.

And now we’re going to get a new SiM album in 4 months too and also they’re having a world tour this year and next year. So that’s really cool as well. Overall I would give BLiND EYES by SiM and HANABIE an 8/10. The song and music video were both really good.

My review of The Mandalorian season 3

This season was okay. Not as bad as I remember it being but the first two seasons are so much better. First of all covering The Mandalorian season 2.5. These episodes were fine. They were mostly just set up for The Mandalorian season 3.

The only problem with them is the fact that they’re in The Book of Boba Fett. But if they take these episodes and put them in The Mandalorian instead and remove the few connecting things to The Book of Boba Fett and the episodes are fine on their own. Not great but still really cool.

On the quality of the first two seasons but on a smaller scale because it’s only two episodes instead of 8. The biggest problem with these is reunited Din and Grogu in a different show. But that’s not really the fault of the episodes themselves. More so just the placement of the show they’re in.

Now moving onto season 3 proper. So the first two episodes are pretty boring. It’s just Din needs to take a bath in the water of Mandalore in order to become a Mandalore again. This could’ve been like half an episode. It definitely didn’t need to be two.

The season’s overall plotline after this is really interesting though. The Mandalorians retaking Mandalore is just poorly executed. The season keeps getting stuck on pointless side missions that get in the way of that overall plotline. Seasons 1 and 2 had side missions too but those furthered the plot. They didn’t pause it.

The Mandalorians finally retaking Mandalore in the final episode is cool. The fight scenes are really sick but it just feels too easy and not earned. It was also boring seeing Moff Gideon again. I’m glad he got killed off in this season though so The Mandalorian and Grogu will have a unique villain. Which will be really cool to see.

Grogu being in this season was really pointless. He really did nothing besides be cute. Which is getting old by this point. He was only here for marketing. We really should’ve gotten a full season of Grogu and Din separated. Then the season would check in both of their individual journeys. Which’ve been much better than what we’ve actually gotten. It’s just disappointing.

The ending of The Mandalorians finally uniting as one and Din adopting Grogu was really satisfying.

I thought the Mandalorian season 3 was okay. It didn’t reach the highs of seasons 1 and 2. Not by far but it wasn’t as bad as I thought it was I still enjoyed watching the season. 6/10.

My review of The Mandalorian season 2

Yeah this season was even better than the first season. Before going into this rewatch I didn’t have a favorite season between seasons 1 and 2. But now I can confidently say that The Mandalorian season 2 is my favorite season of the show.

The writing is even stronger than the first season. Everything about this season is just better than the first season. Seeing fan favorites is really cool when it’s done right. Which it absolutely was here.

Every legacy character served a purpose in the story of helping Din find a Jedi for Grogu. My favorite legacy character in this season was Boba. He was done so well. It’s such a shame that they butchered him in his own show.

Also in my review of season 1 I said I was gonna watch only the first two episodes of season 2 and then go to bed. I accidentally ended up stayed up all night and binging seasons 1 and 2 in one session back to back. Whoops.

Anyway now I’m watching the two Mandalorian episodes that are in The Book of Boba Fett. Let me know if you guys think I should give those 2 episodes their own separate review or include them in my Mandalorian season 3 review after I finish my rewatch of that season.

Edit I’ve decided to include The Mandalorian episodes in The Book of Boba Fett in my Mandalorian season 3 and have chosen to not make those two episodes a separate review instead.

Two episodes by themselves are too short to be a separate review and even though those two episodes aren’t part of The Mandalorian season 3 they set up the plot for The Mandalorian season 3.

So including my thoughts on those two episodes in my review of The Mandalorian season 3 makes a lot more sense than giving them their own separate review.

My review of The Mandalorian season 1

I just finished rewatching The Mandalorian season 1. It was as good as I remember. The standalone episodes with Din learning how to be a better person and a better father work really well. The action, acting, story, music, and characters were all really great. 9/10.

Now I’m going to watch the first two episodes of The Mandalorian season 2. And then I’m going go to bed. It’s crazy that I already finished rewatching The Mandalorian season 1 in one day.

I was not excepting that. Especially since I started it on a whim. So I didn’t start it until 6:00 PM. I just thought I would watch a few episodes today. That’s just what happens sometimes lol.

My review of Shazam!

I thought this movie was super good. It had my kind of humor. The idea of a kid getting super powers and having fun with them is an interesting concept. Billy was a good protagonist too. He was pretty likable and his mom is scum. It makes you feel sympathetic for him. The villain was also pretty good too. Nothing amazing but an adult being jealous that he wasn’t chosen by the wizard is a good motive. The fight scenes were pretty good too. Overall I really like Shazam! 9/10.

My X-Men Dark Phoenix review

Alright so this movie was pretty bad. None of the characters were interesting and Jean became evil way too quickly and then she turned good again on a dime. This movie was super boring. The fight scenes and special effects were just fine.

I just felt like not a lot happened in this movie. The plot was paper thin. Jean becomes evil and then the X-Men gotta stop her and also gotta avoid being captured by the government. Not a lot going on there.

The movie just felt way too stretched out and boring. It’s amazing how Fox can go from making the masterpiece that is Logan one movie and then make a pile of shit like Dark Phoenix the next movie. 3/10 for good special effects and fight scenes.

My review of Logan

Yeah this movie was really good. Seeing the dark future of the Fox X-Men movies was really fascinating. Mutants being nearly wiped out and the Government making artificial mutants was a really interesting concept.

Seeing an old Professor X who’s dealing with trauma is sad to see but fascinating. Logan having to learn to protect Laura and kinda learn how to be a dad to her because she is a clone of him was really cool. The action in this movie was really good too.

It was realistically brutal. The deaths of Logan and Professor X was sad and really well done. This movie is really great. I have no complaints with it. 10/10.

My review of X-Men Days of Future Past

Yeah this movie was really good. It was really cool. Seeing Wolverine go back in time to the First Class period and convince Charles to become Professor X. Seeing Logan interact with Young Professor X and Young Magnito was also really fun too.

The plot of Logan having to go back in time to stop the apocalypse was a really good plot that hooked me immediately.

The action in this movie was really good too. The Mutant vs Humans stuff is also always really fun too. Getting to see the new future and what changed in later movies will be really cool too once I watch them.

Overall I really enjoyed X-Men Days of Future Past. Props to them for not making a confusing time travel plot too. 9/10.

My review of The Wolverine

Okay so I thought this movie was really good. Seeing Logan’s grief of losing Jean and learning to love again was really cool to see. Also the Japanese setting in this movie was really unique for an X-Men movie. I really liked it.

The villain also wanting to steal Logan’s healing factor in order to become immortal was an interesting motive. The fight scenes in this movie were also really cool as well.

Especially Wolverine’s fight on the train and the final fight too. Overall I really enjoyed The Wolverine. I’d give it a 9/10.

My review of X-Men First Class

Alright so I really enjoyed this movie. It was cool seeing Professor X and Magnetio’s friendship before things went south and it was also cool seeing them team up against a common enemy. That being Sebastian Shaw. Shaw was a fine antagonist too. Nothing amazing but he served his purpose.

Seeing Professor X and Magnetio’s friendship slowly devolve into them becoming enemies was really cool. Seeing the younger versions of characters from the original trilogy was super cool.

The action in this movie was also really good. Seeing how the mutants affected the Cold War was such an interesting twist on a war movie. Overall I really enjoyed X-Men First Class. 9/10.

My review of X-Men Origins Wolverine

Alright so I just finished watching this movie for the first time. I thought it was pretty good. I really liked seeing Logan’s past. Him being a war veteran was a pretty cool concept that I liked.

Seeing the experiments he went through that were hinted it in the earlier movies was really cool too. I like how we got to see how he got his iconic claws. The action scenes in this movie were really cool and well done too.

The only thing I don’t like about this movie is this version of Deadpool. Yeah this version of Deadpool is pretty laughable. The merc with a mouth literally didn’t have a mouth in this movie. At least they got Deadpool right in his own movies later on though.

Also how Logan lost his memories was pretty contrived too. He just got shot with a gun that just so happened to give him amnesia. That’s really stupid. Other than those two things though I really enjoyed this movie. It sucks that it got retconned later on by future movies.

Overall I would give X-Men Origins Wolverine an 8/10.
