Husbands/Dads, What changed the most in your partners after they became a mom?

I've been a mom of 2 boys for the last 5 years and man, my life turned over ever since I had them. My life doesnt feel like it belongs to me anymore.

But I'm curious, have y'all noticed anything different about us, apart from less sex and constant exhaustion?

My 2.5yr old keeps hitting his 5yr old brother. What to do?

I'm at my wits end! Question in the title. Any helpful advice highly appreciated.

When my first born was in the hitting phase, we were completely non reactive and very soon it ended. That doesn't seem to be working this time. Every time my 2yr old hits/scratches his brother, my 5yr old, understandably so, screams "moooooooooooom!!!". My 2yr old seems to love the attention so this won't stop unless we do something about it. My 5yr old doesn't hit back yet but just complains or cries.

How can I handle this in a way that's fair by both kids?

My Entitled Dad Thinks "Helping" Means He Can Show Up at My House Whenever He Wants

I am SO mad rn! After 5 days of complete exhaustion, me and my husband try to relax and stay in on Saturdays and spend some time as a family. Relaxing is definitely not easy with our 2 year old. We just woke up, had our coffee, dealt with an early morning tantrum and breakfast was getting made, and my dad walks in, unannounced, with a plumber to repair a leak. Bro! Atleast give us a call before you come! Have some basic manners! Here i am, dressed up all comfortable (and revealing) and hiding inside my own home!

The thing is, my husband couldn't find a good plumber for a very long time and who ever comes in couldnt find or fix the exact problem. My dad's the swoop-in-for-a-rescue kinda guy! Anytime he sees an opportunity to "help" someone, he swoops in and then BAM! You owe him for the rest of your life! Probably because he thinks he's doing something super helpful for us (which he is, i dont deny it), he thinks he can walk in any time!

Aaaaaaaarggghhhhh!!!! So frustrating!

On a different note, this week has been so hard for me, mentally and emotionally, and I've been struggling with WFH + taking care of the kids at the same time! I was afraid that I was becoming a danger to my kids and I just wanted to spend some time with my husband and refill my tank a little bit. I do know that the leak has to be fixed too and we've had a hard time finding someone to do it. Im not being ungrateful. My head is just gonna explode!!!

What are some veges that can withstand high heat environments?

We live in the tropics and wanna know what vegetables/fruits i can plant that will withstand/thrive in humid and hot climates. Ofcourse i will be watering them but the weather is turning extremely hot day after day.

I'm an amateur at gardening and started last month to save my mental health. 3 out of 4 of my plants germinated (for some unknown reason my tomato seeds didn't germinate). I will be transferring these shoots in the outdoors soon. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

TIA

Whats the right way to respond when your kindergartener gets bullied?

My kindergartener just got home by school transport and told me that 2 other kids (probably same age or younger) had hit him on his head with their water bottles and bitten him. They had asked him to sit with them so that they can fight him.

My son is extremely introverted and wouldn't speak with anyone who're too loud/rough. It took him 2 years to make friends and speak to other kids. I used to have so many conversations with his teacher trying to help him become more socially at ease. I have 2 questions.

  1. How do I react when my kid tells me something like this? How do I help him without making things worse?

  2. What's the right way to approach this so that it doesn't happen again (cz right now, I can only think of meeting the kids and asking why they did it)

How do you teach a shy kindergartener to deal with bullying?

I'm not sure if this is the right subreddit for this, but I'm burning with rage, I cant even think.

Started gardening for the first time in my life and I have so many questions. Please help

Please excuse the newbie questions. I started some gardening 2 weeks ago to protect my mental health. I've started with zero hands-on experience. Just watched a few yt videos and tutorials.

Now I have so many questions and looking for some expert advice.

  1. I replanted some Aloe Vera (that our previous house owners had left) in a different pot and it seems to be dying. It looked healthy and green 2 weeks ago but now its turning dull and the colour has changed. What could have gone wrong?

  2. I bought 2 varieties of chilli plants and they both had either flowers or a chilli. One of them died a few days after i bought it. The other one was shedding a few leaves but it seems to be holding on for now.

  3. I also planted seeds of eggplants, okra, winged beans and tomatoes. Shoots have come out of all the okra seeds. 2 out of 4 eggplants and 2 out of 4 winged beans have sprouted. The tomatoes have no shoots yet. What needs to be done with the tomatoes and how long should I wait?

  4. Is there anything as too much composting? I added 1:3 compost to soil ratio. Is that the right amount?
