I love the way r/hatethissmug users found a loophole to abuse the 1st rule of the sub

Lets see how long before they patch this up 😭😭

The use of Left hand being seen as disrespectful in South Asian culture

So if you're someone from South Asia, Middle East and North Africa(I think?) you'd probably know what Im talking about. But if you're someone from the US or anywhere in the west this might seem like the weirdest/Stupidest idea ever.

So, Im ranting about this bullshit because of something that happened in my class. The teacher asked someone to write something on the board(He cant teach us shit btw) and as he's about to hand over the marker, The guy brings out his left hand to receive it.(HOLY DISRESPECT OMG)

"What are you doing?"

"Im left handed sir"

"Why the left hand then"

"Sir, I really am left handed"

Then this mf really looked the student like "😐" and then the guys used his right hand to take the marker. This lame ass mf then had the audacity to say "have you still not learned your manners?" 😭😭

Tell me how this is not the most superstitious, the most stupidest, The most pretentious thing ever. Like we literally have to study stories, literature about how superstition and blindly following outdated beliefs is bad, but then we turn around and get so fucking offended when someone uses their left hand to do something.

Look, Historically I can understand why using our left hand to eat food, pass over food is bad because we use it to wash our asses. I have no problem with this. But tell me why passing things is disrespectful in a era where we have soap, Hand sanitisers, Clean water etc etc.

I am not even left handed, but I used hear people talking bout how "left handed people are friends of the Shaytan" as a kid on a regular basis 😭😭 ITS JUST A FUCKING HAND

Sorry if the Dialogues between the Teacher and the Student seems cranky, I had to translate this from Bangla to English in my mind. Some of my anger definitely got lost in the translation I think but I think the message is clear

Note: This is hate rant about passing things over with you left hand being seen as disrespectful, Not about being left handed though they sound similar.
