Which disc drive should I get?. Samsung or hitachi?. (Don't ask me to rip my games to hard disk or burn backups, I prefer original media and I'm not interested)

I have a Phillips drive and some games I've had to buy more than once even though the first copy worked just fine in my 360. Some read as dvd movies. I thought about getting a new console then I realised I would have to reassemble the sata ssd I installed in it and from what I've read, you can simply take the old one out and pop the new one in, unlike the hard disks where you need to sign them with the key.

Woman Says Man Has Been Harassing Her For Years After Facebook Marketplace Listing

The fact they will only treat him like a criminal after they find her dead with signs of rape somewhere, it's almost like they're trying to save face rather than "protect" vulnerabe people like her.

Unfortunately it's not that simple.

Children who grow up in abusive environments don't realize that how they're being treated isn't "normal" until they're much older. When I complained to my mother about the negative social relationship I had with one of my teachers, I also told her to specifically not speak up because I was not just worried, but frightened that he would confront me. Even just yesterday I was talking about this with my uncle and in addition to believing the "children are meant to be seen, not heard" phrase, he also believes that he was worried that he would be confronted as well.

As much as I want to agree with this, whoever made this is sadly too ignorant to understand it.

Verification process is awful.

If I sign up for an account, I can't get past the verification process because no matter what angle the camera is at, it will not accept either my personal information card or my passport. Does anyone else have this problem?. I am in australia in case no one else gets this problem.

Is it my teacher or is guitar really not for me?.

I've been wanting to learn guitar since I was about 10 or 11. I started with one teacher who I think from memory lasted for about 1 lesson. I was around 10 or so and the only thing I can remember from that lesson was the first thing he told me was that I was holding the guitar the wrong way. My mother who took me there, took off after that despite me not wanting to. She took me to another teacher who I see to this day. I think his approach is fun, but flawed, at least to me.

For comparison, I've also been taking piano lessons since I was about 16 and I think the approach is much better as it's linear in a way that I work my way up through books going through different levels. My guitar teacher does no such thing, he only does whatever I want, as in, whatever song I want, regardless of level. Right now, I am doing some exercises beginner level, but unless I specifically tell him that I am sick of it and want to do something else, we usually go back over them every week. For comparison, my piano teacher knows how I'm performing and when I should proceed usually without my input.

I just feel that with guitar lessons I'm not actually progressing. I do think part of it is because I don't pick up the instrument often outside of lessons, as I feel I don't have much control over the strings I play, often hitting the e string instead of an a string or the wrong fret for example, which I know is eliminated over time, but it reduces my confidence and motivation. Just the other day I tried to pick up my bass to play a line I liked and instead of jamming out, I gave up trying after a few minutes after setting up. Whether I was playing too fast or whatever, the only person I can really rely on is my piano teacher who gives me proper advice. My guitar teacher doesn't explain or doesn't know know how to explain to me what approach to take. He also doesn't enforce practicing very much, only suggesting I should every so often.

It's gotten to the point where I actually tried to find my old guitar teacher where I only had one lesson with back when I was like 10 or something.

I just wonder, maybe it's both?. I quit guitar when I was about 14 or 15 because I knew it went nowhere and started over when I was about 19 or so, maybe 20. But every time I say to myself, I don't want to do this anymore, as the same time, I can never stop thinking about the instrument.

Just a short note, I am adhd and autistic, diagnosed about a month or so before my 20th birthday so you can probably imagine I don't have a lot of patience. To be fair, I don't practice a lot outside of my piano lessons either but I enjoy them a lot more because my teacher knows what she is doing while I don't think my guitar teacher is.

I would love to know once and for all.

How to grow a sub I took over without sounding obnoxious?.

I took over a sub named r/****authority (censored to get around this sub's filter) but it has no posts apart from my own. I guess I could mention it in comments of a context appropiate post but that would get annoying fast. Desktop and iphone.

No signal to monitor.

Hoping someone can help me with this. I have a lymic 514as monitor with manufacture date april 1994 on it. I got it to work with my amiga 500 but before I get the adapter to work with it I have an old windows pc with a vga input to test it. Windows xp does not auto detect the monitor to install the drivers. The power led on the monitor flashes. I'm desperately hoping it's because there is no video output and not if it's a possible power issue or anything else.

Is the gameline modem cartridge useful in the modern day?.

From what I know, it was used to access a service where you could download games but it didn't last for very long. As far as I know, there is no revival project for this service. Apart from maybe making prank calls or testing landline, voip or general modem reliability, what use does this modem offer in the modern day?.

Is this an autistic thing or is it just me?. My general thoughts on cats and how I treat one.

My mother has a cat named Nina, who we had for over a decade at this point and I don't know about you, but I absolutely can not stand people who annoy their cats on purpose and just be a general dickhead to them. If they don't think it's ok to be a dickhead to another person then it shouldn't be any different. If you go over to r/cats or see some of the comments I've left you'll know what I mean.

I don't see Nina as a baby because she is an elderly adult, about 14 or so, so I treat her like one. If I reach out to pet her I always make sure she is in the mood before touching her, the only time I pick her up is if she wants to go outside, instead calling her to follow me. I know that a cat showing their belly doesn't mean they are ok with you petting them, it's not a "belly trap" or whatever garbage they come up with. I don't disturb her if she is sleeping. I talk to her in a normal voice and not a baby voice, which is, quite frankly, infantalizing as shit. I also talk to her in a soft voice as well because I take into account their sensitive hearing. I think naming your cats anything other than normal human names, especially food, is stupid, ridiculous, and quite frankly, infantalizing garbage.

In fact, I actually got concerned when my mother moved Nina's bed from my room into hers after she came back from the emergency vet for something to do with her leg. I think it's something to do with kidney disease, because I know cats don't like it when they have their shit moved around. I eventually figured out that this had nothing to do with Nina, it was a selfish reason of my mother only wanting to soothe herself because think about it, if Nina wanted to sleep with my mother, she could by jumping on her bed. Yet, she doesn't when I'm around. She sleeps on my coat in my room.

But yeah, is it just me or is there anyone else out there who can't stand people being general immature dickheads to their cats?.

I tried to use paypal pay in 4 this morning but it declined me. I have used pay in 4 solutions before, using afterpay for about 2 and a half years before closing it a few weeks ago because it doesn't allow for international purchases. It said I would get a message in the centre but the only message they gave me was no different to the article and wasn't specific to my decline reason. I read from other user in the comments of a similar thread that it would be 6 months. How long roughly would I have to wait before I can reapply?.

This is an earlier one from 2013 when abc2 ran from 7pm to I think from memory about 2am, then this would run for about 4 hours. I remember this one vaguely, as this video would've been taped about 2am after the last show finished. Later on in I think about 2015 or 2016 the schedule changed to finish at 3am and would have an overnight loop of it's own with triple j that played for about an hour before abruptly switching to abc kids loop with abc jazz, then it would come on about 5am, which they switched from the earlier 6am, as you can see in the video thumbnail.

Over on abc 3 it would for the most part run from 9pm to 6am. One night I remember instead of the overnight loop it would play episodes of grojband and each episode would play immediately after the last one. Sometimes it would also play rage and about 1am it would switch to a short abc news bulletin that would go for about a minute then switch to the overnight loop or just switch without the abc news bulletin.

The abc 3 overnight loop was unnerving and creepy, definitely, but it also helped me sleep as well. This was back when I was about 11 or 12 and back then I couldn't sleep without a radio but having the tv on worked. The music is engrained in my head permanently. Sometimes I would drop in and out of sleep with the loop playing and it would often be a saturday morning at my dad's old unit and me sleeping on the couch.

The abc2 loop was far more creepy in my opinion and did not help me sleep. I couldn't and still can't stand what plays on abc jazz and actually made me dislike the genre for a while. I remember the later one where abc2 would switch off about 3 and play it's own overnight loop for about hour before switching. This one on the video would happen at about 1am or 2am. I can still remember what I felt like at the time. I was watching in complete pitch black darkness with the only light coming from the tv. I felt a part of me sinking as I was watching this and it was just creepy and unnerving as hell. The abc 3 one was as well but that was a little better. It might seem like nothing to younger kids but this was a part of my childhood that creeped me out and probably you as well.

Rest in peace abc4kids and abc3. Screw you abc me, abc comedy or whatever the bloody hell you're all called now.

Owners of the c64, zx spectrum and amstrad cpc have the privelige of enjoying fastloaders but for atari computers that doesn't seem to be true as software would take roughly 10-15 minutes as opposed to the 4-5 minutes on the other home micros. I read that it might have to do with reliability?. I know how error prone the atari cassette recorders are as I used to have one myself.

I am not interested in modern solutions, such as an sd card solution, nor pirated/copied/cracked disks. I am someone who prefers to maintain original disks and original packaging as well as use authentic retro hardware, for authenticity. Please don't suggest to me to use modern solutions as I am not interested in them.

I want to use disks instead of cassettes for obvious reasons but after doing some research I found that some original ntsc disk games will fail copy protection on pal systems because of timing problems. I think this has to do with the video chip?. If I replace with a kawari would that make the copy protection pass on a pal system where under normal circumstances it would usually fail?.

I am using the vice emulator and have used copy 190 among others but whenever I start loading the tape the screen stays blank when it gets to the end of the cassette and doesn't stop, I loaded the cassette under normal means to get to the game but now I want to transfer it to disk. Is there something I'm doing wrong or are these programs buggered?.
