Image-wise, the game I played looks to be Oregon Trail Deluxe, and a good portion of the landmarks have the right music, except for when a party member dies. Nothing I've found matches what I heard as a kid and is ingrained in my brain.

Replaying Tooie and it is dawning on me that all of Boggy's children are bigger than me. Banjo also lives in a world where Zubbas are bees that are larger than him. But we also see smaller bees flying around the Beehives...

Reminds me of the Video Game Dunkey video quote "Banjo just accepts this child-like world where you fight onions with eyeballs, he's just like Yeah man, this is real life."

Pages already deleted, Instagram deleted, already grabbed whatever data I wanted to keep, and said goodbye to my digital-only friends a month ago. I'm finally ready to be free.

So, I'm really good at figuring out what episode of Fullmetal it is with usually just a screenshot, and recently got to play a sort of video game GeoGuesser over on the Banjo-Kazooie subreddit, and now I'm wondering if there would be interest in a Fullmetal version of that sort of thing, where you get a still from the show, and have to guess the episode. (Maybe the clue version will have subtitles for the scene in question on the first failed guess?)

Since the Banjo one offers both games, either individually or together, we could also offer 2003, Brotherhood, or mixed for the hardcore fans. (I'm more knowledgeable with Brotherhood, so would likely stick to that one)

My only question is how best to procure the screenshots? I used to have a plug-in that worked on Netflix, but they're pretty good about making those obsolete. The way I've been getting my Banjo ones is to play the game on my Xbox and screenshot it with the Xbox button and then the Y button, but unsure if that works for DVD/Blu-Ray/Streaming media, as that seems like something they would want to prevent for obvious reasons.

I dunno, just an idea I had and wondered if other people like me might find that fun. Thoughts?

At work I randomly thought up a Quirk that I think would be pretty cool, but also pretty limited use cases. Definitely would have failed the entrance exam as well as Aizawa's fitness tests.

Speak of the Devil - Can hear every verbal mention of their name, anywhere in the world, and can choose to teleport to the speaker's immediate vicinity. (The speaker has to mean the quirk user, so people with duplicate names would not apply.)

Did a test a while ago on some tile from a thrift store. It was a natural stone tile, rather than ceramic. For MONTHS after the engraving, the lines were still reacting, with white oxidation material forcing its way up and out of the engraving, leaving fragile white dust on the tile, and sometimes damaging the surrounding stone.

I did a test on a seashell a few weeks ago, and am now noticing the same thing, white powder pushing up and out of the engraving.

What is this reaction? And how could I prevent it from continuing if I want to engrave this material in the future? I don't know the exact makeup of the stone tile, but the material in a seashell should be far more limited to identify a culprit.

I'm a little confused on the way time works when it comes to these games.

In the OG Jumanji. Alan and Sarah start a game, then finish it 26 years later, but reverting to the original time when they started playing, as if the events after the game started never happened. But it didn't "make up" those events, as Judy and Peter DO exist 26 years later, so the game is either prophetic, or is able to vastly alter time and space.

But in the next movie, time flows the other way. We pick up the perspective of the latecomers to the game, and see the reality they grew up in. They all know of the Vreeke House, (I always thought they said Freak House) where some kid disappeared years prior, and his dad went crazy from the loss. Upon finishing the game, we remain in their time, but Alex Vreeke has been released in his time, thus restoring the house as if he never went missing. Yet they all still note the change to their reality.

A couple questions.

• Why do Judy and Peter not remember their events of Jumanji/recognize Alan and Sarah?

• Since they had moved into Alan's house before they started playing, where would they even go once reality reverted?

• Since their parents are still alive, this "first meeting" must be before they would have played the game, so maybe their memories "come back" around when they played it. Game night at the Parrish's?

• Sarah and Alan definitely still need to go to therapy, right? Alan went through 26 years abandoned in the jungle hunted by Van Pelt and every other creature that make Australian critters look like kittens, and Sarah experienced 26 years of ridicule as a nutjob that she saw African bats, was connected to Alan's disappearance, and gaslit herself (Or possibly spread the story) that his father chopped him up to convince herself that was the reality of it.

• Zathura is the sequel book to Jumanji, but where does that fit in the Jumanji Cinematic Universe now that we have these three new Jumanji movies? Rather than turning into a Space game, it turned into a video game, but kept the jungle theming. But in those books, it sounds like the very next pair to find the game were the boys in Zathura, so no gap existed for the new Jumanji movies.

I keep trying the listings on Amazon and all of them are clear glass dipped to look amber, but it easily scrapes and chips off.

I'm playing around with making mead and want to do little sample bottles so more people can tey a batch, but can't find any little bottles that are what I'm looking for.

If their mom died when they were born, and was also homeless, it's not like there was a system in place that All For One could have grown into to learn his family name. Did he make that up on his own too?

I always thought their levels were a little kooky and nonsensical, and it is a kid's game, so that's fine it they are. As a kid, I especially enjoyed Paint Misbehavin', the Roman level where you get to paint EVERYTHING.

Turns out, Roman statues actually WEREN'T plain white stone. They WERE painted, and it's just been so long that the paint has faded or crumbled, the stone is all that remains.

Who'd've thought that Rocket: Robot on Wheels would have some historical accuracy hidden in there.

Fast traveled to my house, and saw the red dots of Bandits appear, but after circling my house, couldn't find them. They spawned inside the shape of the house. When I went inside, so did they. I went back outside, and one of them apparently grabbed the Staff of Magnus and started using it on me!
