This small statue sits at the base of our neighbor’s front porch stairs (relatively regular stoop, for size reference) and it is….confusing? Seems to be a distressed baby head on some kind of animal body. It’s always entertained us since we first noticed it, but I’m wondering if this is some known creature/character/symbol that I’m just not aware of.

So Reddit, is this just a random silly thing or is there actual meaning to it? What IS it??

To start, I understand that some people are uncomfortable with death and it was a sudden event so we were all in shock. However, we knew she was ill and things were not good. It just seemed to happen very quickly. I am so angry and disappointed that the day after our faculty member, who was with us for 7 years at our site, was not even mentioned by our superintendent when she came to our after school staff meeting. We talked about LCAP and she left without saying a word about anything else. Nothing, no words.
The person in question who passed was a constant presence at all things community and school related. She really had a hand on a lot of good things like blood drives, food drives, Rotary Interact, dances, sporting events, music, the whole lot. She did all that for us, and our superintendent couldn’t even bring it up. It made me, and many of my colleagues, feel like we’re are not cared about by administration.
