Old Karma is playable in Classic now
And her shield bomb is just as satisfying as it was a decade ago

I can still remember how I watched someone else play The Wind Waker as a child. At the end of the Wind Temple, observing that gigantic steel snake breaking out of the sand that swallowed the Hylian stone platform before and flying across the hall left a lasting impression on me.
After the relatively calm temple, this was such a surprise. I couldnt imagine how Link would be able to destroy such a creature and probably was relieved that it was not me holding the controller. I even remembered a semi-false memory where the creature did an even more scary roar.
Years later, this incredible intro and the great fight music had remained in my head longer than the battle itself :/ the only thing I missed in retrospective was the name of the boss being displayed, like in the other 3D games. (The one in the picture is from me)
What intro sequence of a non-final boss left a significant impression on you?
His kit is almost the same as it is now. Some ratios are a bit tweaked, the Q AP ratio is lower, the shield is calculated differently, and the ult is less impactful on secondary targets (idk how, maybe less knockup duration?).
Surprised this hasn't been posted yet!
The main differences are that her E only works on autoattacks and the slow doesnt scale, her passive doesnt scale and her W a) scales less, b) costs more and c) goes only down by a fixed amount per bounce.
In exchange, the AP ratios on her Q and R are higher by 15% and 10% respectively, and her W base values are higher.
She will be weaker than in modern League, but note that classic's overall power level is a bit lower. So she will probably not be weak. (Or Riot will buff her)
EDIT: The W seems to deal 50% damage, not 30%
I looked up her old quotes to verify, but its true - she did not say "Slow down... it takes me twice as many steps!" upon movement before. Also, I just heard her saying "Where words fail, my hammer (something)" while attacking the blue camp.
Isn't that cool?
I discovered an old SivHD guide and decided to try it out: Both your clear speed and your ganks are actually decent. If you put 3-4 points into your E early, you get a good amount of damage for only 20 mana per cast.
Yeah, you have a problem if your first blue buff gets stolen and if you get invaded, but Fiddle, Karthus & others have the same issue. Imho, she is not significantly worse than other AP junglers and I wonder why she has never played on this position.
Someone has made an own ERB for Mario Kart
Disclaimer: Its on the Custom Mario Kart wiki, but I do not know whether the stuff there is safe. I just wanted to post this pun
Admittedly, I rarely play botlane and encounter most enemy supports in the midgame or lategame, but I never was annoyed about a Nami player remotely as much as I was about a Leona focusing all her CC on me, about a Soraka constantly healing the fed carry at the last second, or about a Braum just existing.
This list continues to all supports, and also beyond the support class. I hated almost every champion at least once since I started playing in S2, but I never hated Nami. She is squishy, her stun can be dodged and (unless she builds full AP, lol) she is extremely unlikely to surprisingly outdamage you like a Brand.
At the same time, it's really fun to play her. I feel she is an extremely well designed champion.
...Now: Does this mean she is? Or did I just never played against an OTP Master Nami and therefore never realized her potential to make one's life painful?
Lets say against a early game assassin or bruiser with a dash, where you really could benefit from lowering the E cooldown to push him away as often as possible.
The yellow trinkets are in no way a replacement for actual green wards, as they are too short-lasting to reliably protect you from ganks all the time or even half the time. They are nothing more than a teaser and should honestly come with a tooltip a la "Get the full 3 minute premium sight for 75g" or something.
The red ones were my major concern, as I believed that the powerful tool of vision denial should be bound to pink wards and/or Oracle's. But the fact that the sensor active is immobile and [is supposed to] not revealing traps limits their scope. While I'd still prefer having them removed, it could be far worse.
...The maps mostly stay dark anyways. Not due to ward clearing, but to wards not being used in the first place. It is mind-blowing how many people are not even using their free trinket wards, let alone buying even a single green ward during the course of the game. One time I played a toplane game and ended up being the only player with a two-digit ward score, even including our support.
It's an old cliche that ADCs expect all farm to be theirs and will not purchase any wards, so that's that. But junglers, for objectives? Toplaners, to not get ganked? Midlaners a pink, so they can pester Akali in her cloud?
Come on, buy these eye-shaped eyes. It's worth it.
Maybe I am insatiable, but the 7 days of silence since the last patch already feel long.
What will drop on the PBE next? New champs and chromas? Further UI improvements? Bugfixes? AP Ezreal nerf reverts? And most importantly: When?
Please Riot, give us a candy
I’m not even Italian and I still feel misrepresented
Its a bit hard to find details about this, but when I started playing in S2, DFG a) had a skull symbol and b) a different effect that I believe went like this:
Deals 20/25% (+ somewhere between 2-5% AP) of the target's maximum health as magic damage.
Essentially, instead of amplifying the rest of your kit, you gained a standalone tankbuster spell. I find this especially interesting because % HP damage for mages has been bound to burn damage aka Liandrys for such a long time.
The current DFG is obviously more iconic, but how would you rate this one?
They fit into the interface perfectly. Simple symbols, clear design, the old blue/orange colour scheme, no unnecessary bling bling.
That's the spirit!
While in her passive form, regardless of the circumstances, Anivia seems to emit a global taunt that rivals AP Shaco clones, Singed players with active ults and people marked with a Zilean ult. But I wonder whether this might be an incorrect tactical choice in a teamfight?
On the one hand, the egg presents a timed threat of an AP carry coming back from the dead and unloading her arsenal a second time. On the other hand, the egg is harmless for 6 seconds and might distract your damage dealers from other important targets, like a rageblade-stacking ADC, or from repositioning.
Generally speaking, what do you do?
