I finally admitted gambling has completely taken over my life
I’ve been gambling on and off since I was about 21, but the last two years have been completely different.
I used to tell myself I had it under control because I still had a job, paid my rent, and never borrowed money. Then I had one ridiculously lucky weekend and won more than I normally make in a few months.
That was probably the worst thing that could have happened to me.
Ever since then, I’ve been trying to get back to that number. I’d lose $500 and deposit another $500 because I was convinced I was “due.” Then it became credit cards. Then money I had saved for a car. Then borrowing from family and making up stupid excuses about why I needed it.
Last week I checked everything properly for the first time instead of avoiding it. I’m thousands in debt and basically have nothing left from years of working.
The worst part isn’t even the money. I stopped answering friends because I was either gambling or ashamed. I lied to people who trusted me. I’ve spent entire nights staring at my phone watching bets instead of sleeping.
Today I finally closed my accounts and told someone in my family what’s actually been going on. I feel embarrassed as hell, but I also know I can’t keep pretending I’m going to win my way out of this.
If you’re reading this after a big win and thinking you’ve figured gambling out, please be careful. That first big win was what convinced me I could keep doing it.
I've been struggling to stop eating rice
I just started my diet a week ago and planned to cut it out completely. But it feels like I'm weak; my body is used to eating rice and is looking for it. Even if I eat more vegetables, I still feel weak. Is it okay if I don't remove rice from my diet?
I purchased videoexpressai
Hi I just purchased a subscription on video express ai but I find it hard to produce quality realistic video with consistent voice. Do you have any advice for me?
We loved pickleball so much that we built our own community court!
We are absolute addicts when it comes to this sport, and after constantly struggling to find open courts nearby, we decided to take matters into our own hands.
We ended up building our very own pickleball court. And the best part is that we built it for everyone in our community to enjoy!
Lately, we've really been feeling how incredible this sport feels for our bodies. Seeing the genuinely positive physical effects and overall well-being it brings has been the ultimate reward. It has been amazing seeing people come over to play and share some good times.
