Celebrated our anniversary at Mastro’s in the Post Oak area.
Their restaurant menu is $55 per person however, we added a few enhancements so the pricing was higher per person of course, anniversary, duh.

Notes from my experience from day 1 of the public practice:

✨ clear bag policy in effect.
✨ you can bring an unopened water bottle (there are places to refill).
✨ park in the green lot
✨ we lined up at 6:30am and people were already in line
✨ security gates opened at 7:00am
✨ tickets started being scanned 7:40am
✨ seats in my area were taken by 8:30am.
✨ programming + practice started around 9:00am.
✨ food trucks available.
✨ there is a store to shop but they do not have everything.
✨ practice ended around 11:00am.
✨ stay after practice for autographs.
✨ event done at 11:40am.

This time I made my sweet potatoes in the air fryer and I didn’t have char on them like I normally like. I think I’ll continue making them in the oven.

Traveler’s Cart in Houston, TX

Beef tenderloin, soy sauce, ají amarillo, red onions, tomatoes, red bell peppers, cilantro, white rice, crispy fries

Chicken thighs [air-fryer]:

Chicken thighs
Dijon mustard
Rosemary
Minced garlic
Black pepper, Onion Powder, Garlic Powder
Honey

Make the marinade: Dijon mustard, rosemary, minced garlic, seasoning, black pepper, honey. coat chicken well.
Air fry at 390° for 10 min, flip, then cook another 5-10 min until done.

Broccoli [Stove]

fresh broccoli
Black pepper, onion powder, garlic powder
Sharp Cheddar cheese

Steam broccoli, add seasoning
Add cheese and mix

Sweet Potatoes [oven]:

Sweet Potato
Black Pepper, Salt, Ground Cinnamon

cut potato in half
coat potato in olive oil
add seasonings: black pepper. Salt. Cinnamon.
rub all around potato
put potato face down on parchment paper
cook on 350° for 50 mins to an hour
