The simple things in life, like an All Star Breakfast date for dinner
I just left the movie theater to watch Toy Story 5 with my partner. I totally forgot it was a kids movie (because when the first one came out, I was 2 LOL, just to age myself).
A parent had their child watching it with her, but he was yelling, jumping, and running around the theater. In my mind I gave grace because I know the mom just wants to watch the movie, but at some point, you gotta control your child .. because it’s disturbing.

Maybe it’s just me, but I feel like adulthood was marketed completely wrong.
I thought I’d have a friend group that got together all the time, a clean house, a solid career path, hobbies, savings, energy, and somehow still have time to enjoy life.
Instead, everyone is busy, plans require a group chat and three weeks’ notice, groceries cost a small fortune, and half the time I’m just trying to remember why I walked into a room.
Don’t get me wrong .. there are great things about being an adult. But I definitely thought we’d all be a little more put together by now.
What part of adulthood turned out the most different from what you expected? 👀

I knew that poking a bear during a movie set would be risky. I’m so mad lol. But he loved a great life + died with all levels above 95.
Playing as one of his children now. *screams* inheritance.
Social media can be funny sometimes.
Because I attend events, take photos with people, and seem to be out doing things often, I think people assume I have a huge friend group and a packed social life.
The reality is that I’m actually pretty private, keep to myself, and have a very small circle. I’ve met a lot of people over the years, but there are only a handful I truly consider close friends.
The older I get, the more I’ve realized I’d rather have a few genuine relationships than a large network of people I rarely hear from.
Sometimes it feels like people confuse being social with having deep friendships.
Does anyone else feel like people assume you have more friends than you actually do? Or is it just me? 🤔
Hi everyone!
I’m still fairly new to TTC and had a question that’s been confusing me. I’ve been seeing a lot of TTC content on TikTok where people continue taking ovulation (LH) tests after they’ve already ovulated, sometimes alongside pregnancy tests.
When I was tracking my cycle, I only used LH strips to identify my surge and estimate ovulation. I always assumed that once ovulation happened, there wasn’t really a reason to keep using them until the next cycle. But online, I’ve seen people continue testing throughout the two-week wait and even compare their LH strips day by day.
This made me curious about the science behind it.
I know LH and hCG are different hormones, but I’ve also read that some tests can cross-react because the hormones are structurally similar. Is that why some people continue taking LH tests after ovulation? Are they actually looking for something meaningful, or is it mostly a social media trend?
I’m not asking whether it can predict a successful cycle or anything like that. I’m more interested in understanding what information, if any, LH strips provide during the luteal phase and whether there’s a reason to keep using them after ovulation has already been confirmed.
For those who understand the science behind the tests, I’d love to learn more. I feel like every time I think I’ve figured out TTC, I discover another rabbit hole. 😅
Thanks in advance! 💕
