Is irelia the single biggest counter to zyra in midlane?

Feels unplayable. completely unplayable. she one shots plants and zooms around like a maniac

Kong Rong - max trade & max spies run - turn 55 - Legendary/Legendary

So I decided to play something totally different from Gongsun Zan (always at war) and play as Kong Rong.
Decided that I wanted to max. trade and max. spies.
I currently have 7 ongoing trade agreements and 5 spies (more coming once the faction levels up again)
Spies are at: Liu Bei - Dong Zhuo - Lady Wu (Sun Ce died) - Cao Cao - Yuan Shu
Liu Biao´s heir (my spy) killed the old fart and Liu Bei got all of his territory (I totally forgot about Liu Bei getting it - I was a bit sad)
Yuan Shao decided to attack me early and I wiped the floor with him due to my fury of behai units.
Im currently discrediting a lot of factions / characters to snipe some nice generals (gotta catch em all)

My thoughts: Its a lot different from my usual playstyle but I think this has a LOT of potential. I think you can do some crazy things with enough time and spies.
Youre basically destroying and destabilizing the other factions from within - without fighting much yourself.

Has anyone ever did a "max" spies playthrough?

I conquered everything with Gongsun Zan / Sun Ce multiple times.
Ive build up a trading empire with Kong Rong

Ive done so much but I never went "all in" with spies.
Anyone did this? Was it fun? How did you utilise them efficiently?

Im convinced this was one of my smartest plays yet - This is Total War campaign

My biggest problem is Yuan Shao and his 10 avengers.
For a long time I was stuck at my start (Youbeiping - Guangyuan - Bohai)
I slowly build up my economy and army. Kept defending and also got Pingyuan.
Then Ive had an idea. I saw all of Yuan Shaos territory (Spy) and decided to "create" a defensive fortress in the middle of his lands.
So I went from Henei to Wei to Shangdang and finally to the mine in Taiyuan. I raided all the farmland in between and got the mine.
This mine has a lot of benefits for me

Its EASY to defend IMO
Its in the middle of his territory
I can basically attack everything from here

2 (and a half) Armies were capturing a lot of Yuan Shaos territories while 1 took over the remaining territories of Gongsun Kang

I play with a few mods but this one is the biggest (Records Mode Classic Total War)

Basically more relationships. More events (good & bad). Dead units stay dead etc.

TW3K - what are some nice QOL and generally "cool" mods that you found?

I like those for example
- Respec Character Skills when they join you (If the AI took weird skills I can choose the path I want him to have)
- Unique Units in Faction Garrison (Gongsun Zan has 3-4 Horse archers in a fully upgrades Port for example)
- Recruited unique character can use their special units (similar to the one below)
- Recruited Character Can Use Original Units (Bandit character can use bandit units even tho I play a Han Faction)

Name me all the champions that you can think off - that CAN be played in all 5 roles

Im not asking for "meta picks" or whatever because you cant be META in all 5 roles

I once saw a Karthus Challenger player so a Karthus "fill" challenge and that worked great
I think Zyra also is okay in all 5 roles
Who else can you think off that also works?

Playing Zyra as fill - first small update

These are the lanes Ive been assigned too in ranked.
Honestly I am surprised about the amount of toplane games and the "non existent" midlane

Worst toplane experiences: Darius (got giga zoned) Yasuo & Irelia (say goodbye to all your plants) Sion (after 15 minutes he got SO MUCH HP from his passive)

Currently elo Gold 2 with +30/-10

Making the game strategically harder? Favorite mods?

I dont want the enemy having 100 morale for no reason or a random militia killing my elites.

I want all warlords to have some sort of danger in themselfes. Every warlord should have "potential". Maybe even 1 full stack for every warlord. Smarter AI - but no cheating
All cities / ressources should have "decent" and maybe even unique units
I want diplomacy to actually matter & betraying to be really bad
Maybe some tiny economy changes too
I am open to overhauls
Perhaps stats should be more important than weapons (Level 10 general with bronze weapon wins vs Level 1 with golden weapon)

I can play on L/L and VH/VH. I also did "this is total war" successfully
I prefer to play on records if possible.
