Hugs for all the INTP girls

Life’s tough, and dare I say more so for INTP girls since even amongst the rarity of INTPs, it’s mostly guys. Also, most INTP girls don’t really fit the “normal” stereotypes of what society expect, and being logical and intuitive just makes it harder to fit in. But being alone really does affect INTPs very much bc they feel such a deep sense of loneliness. You’re not misfits, and being weird is interesting. Hope you find your people in life. Peace.

Season 3 when?

More like, how likely? Considering the gap between season 1 and 2, and also the fact that Twin was made. This show is my guilty pleasure and I would do anything to have a season 3, but it looks bleak.

INFJs are vwery unique

INFJs are the only people that I’ve met that are genuinely so kind, determined, and awkwardly good at social situations. In my experience, you guys have a special something about you that makes people feel warm inside. But you guys also are very good at hiding things about yourself and being elusive. Also, it’s funny how I can always tell INFJs in real life, for me they’re the most distinguishable type, and easy for me, as an introvert, to approach and talk to

INTP and making things complicated

INTPs make things complicated for no reason, prob bc of Ti. Sometimes so much so that they stunt themselves or become unable to break things down/get started.

The real HK tradition

Every season during the signature dish round, someone has to cook something from a box, like pasta or something. I’m wondering if HK is scripted bc of this since it’s obvious that you shouldn’t used boxed food and chefs have been called out for it during previous seasons, yet it still happens so often.

OCD as a manisfestation of emotional neglect/trauma

I’ve been trying to make sense of OCD. Sometimes, it feels like an irrational, and even random disorder (i.e. the things people are OCD about, often random little things but also ranging to more rational fears), but I’ve come to realize that maybe it’s the after effects of growing up in an emotionally distant or neglectful environment as a child. Of course, there is some evidence for OCD being genetic, however, the environment one grows up in is also pivotal in how strong one’s OCD is and the timing of it when it manifests in their life. It’s like suddenly, all the hidden consequences of an emotionally unstable environment happens to you and OCD becomes a part of someone’s life at that point, whereas before it may be just some hints and habits of OCD here and there, but when it comes out, it’s more extreme and prominent.

Can anyone speak to this? Also, this is not to say you’re trapped within OCD forever, but it’s a post trying to understand the mechanisms of OCD. Stay strong.

New vs. Old Seasons

I was watching HK season 21 today and I feel like the new seasons don’t have the same appeal as the old ones. The older season characters were way more interesting and made more of an impression on me. I’m not sure if it’s the “old school” quality or nostalgia but it’s different now. I miss the past seasons, especially seasons 10 and 14.

Most people here are performative and NPCs.

Title. Performative trying to come off as smart and perfect, following shallow trends. Then try so hard to be hard of a clique. Comes off as having big egos.

Lexapro vs. Prozac

Anyone who has tried both? which has worked better? Which generally has less side effects? For depression, and social anxiety.

Unfairness in life.

How to get over past regrets? Because of things that happened to me out of my control, I feel so behind my peers and where I’m supposed to be. I don’t even know who I am and I’m scared to be myself. I hate it, the powerlessness I feel, but I can’t seem to change and move on from the past. It’s unfair some people are born with support, money, and a good background, or even good genetics.

Asking for a guide.

I’m a young adult and it feels like I’m so behind everyone else. In terms of things I know, capability, experience, social circles, and just everything in the adult world. Any advice for how to stay focused and prepare myself for the adult world?

Reconnecting with my Asian American identity.

I would like to reconnect with this part of my identity, immerse myself in more of my asian roots and culture, and meet similar people. I feel like I’ve lost touch with this part of myself and it makes me sad. Anyone want to connect and be friends?

It’s unfair.

It’s unfair that everyone else who didn’t experience emotional neglect can be happy and confident and satisfied all the time. Mostly, they can move on and do things they want and feel fulfilled. But those who have experienced emotional neglect is always on edge, dealing with insecurities and feeling scared all the time. The world is unfair
