Man, trailers were so much better back then! No random fades to black, nobody mumbling boring dialogue, and no electronic farts (the braaam sound).

BTW, this is a good Bogie thriller. The movie was shot by Robert Burks, the man who was the DP for some of Alfred Hitchcock's best work like North by Northwest and Vertigo.

Personally, when I read books that are adapted for film and TV, I typically do not picture the actors used. I'd rather go with my own selections. When it comes to Lecter, I visualize a young Peter Cushing! He reminds me of the literary Lecter, especially when he portrayed the evil Baron Frankenstein! So does anyone else do as much?

They both gave an enthusiastic thumbs up! Siskel's only complaint was that he didn't like Mark Hamill's performance as Joker.

This is such a great piece. A great combination of playful creepiness and a sinister flavor. This music raises the tension a few notches, there is nothing left but Grunty herself. No more worlds, no more moves to learn, you have zero room to mess around. A perfect build up to the Grunty battle and her epic battle music.

I didn't know there was a Nick at Nite version of this LT Opera song.
