Is there any specific reason why those "analysts" keep saying to invest and keep saying they are safe and defensive?

I talking specifically on comfort delgro, sbs transit, vicom, etc.

I have a almost fully paid off condo. (Less than 50k in mortgage)

Currently rented out for around 4500 a month. If i sell most likely I will net 1.8 to 1.9 million before agent commission.

I pay about 600 per month in condo maintenance and what i earn i get taxed both property tax and income tax.

I am currently staying in another condo.

I thinking of selling off my rented condo and plonk all into defensive stocks, maybe in all 3 local banks.

So

1. no need to pay maintenance

2. no need to pay property and additional income tax

3. what i get back on monthly basis is likely to be more than what I collect in rent currently.

Also, my monthly rental has been dropping thru the years. Originally it was rented close to 5k and now its around 4k

Now even the swatch vivo city say they won't be opening the store due to over demand but say next time will have more future drops.

I mean can't they just build more training schools globally and train as many as possible while importing as many healthcare workers as possible?

And yet it seems like almost every single developed country i know is short of healthcare workers.

I mean i feel that many people think that its sort if like a badge of honour to be Kiasu lei.

Was it really as bad as most people thought it was?

A bit of background about myself.

1. Been working in recruitment line for multiple job agencies and headhunting companies for more than 15 years. I mostly focus on Banking related jobs now but i used to do all industries including manufacturing, technology, etc earlier in my career.
2. Have done all levels of job placements throughout, from fresh grad placements to 500k salaries placements.

The narrative according to the govt is that the foreign talent coming to Singapore has the skills and experience which the Singaporeans do not have is no longer valid isn't it?
