The Wedge in Newport Beach right now — hurricane swell turning it into a freak wave machine
Newport Beach's Wedge does this thing every so often where a south swell hits the jetty just right and the waves basically explode into themselves. This week's hurricane swell pushed it into full send mode — waves stacking up and breaking just feet from the sand. Wild to watch in person, even wilder that people bodysurf/surf it!
