Making this thing was an odyssey that took my the whole day and I fucked up the original design very badly so most of that was fixing that mistake

I hope after the past hours of turning a rock of dried corax into this dust I can save it

I didn't have my EC codex on me to take this pic 😭 but yeah I've been spending the whole night grinding up a dried chunk of corax white so I can mix it with some medium and hopefully save it

I wonder if I can save it

My first Word Bearer.. complete! I of course chose a chaplain/dark apostle as the first for obvious reasons.. but this was also my first model I got for this army, and was given to me by someone very very very special to me, so it's very important.

I may say this could be my best model that I have painted!

This was very very fun and interesting to paint! So much more unique compared to any other models I've painted! I used colours I haven't really used much before, I did shading and highlighting something I've also never really done before prior to this army. The dudes hanging off are so cool! And I tried doing some free handing on parts too which I liked! Top models I've painted definitely.
