Retroid Pocket 6 compatibility + 8gb RAM any problem?

Since I don't want to spend a lot of time configuring stuff (already did that on PC/Steam Deck often enough), I'm wondering how many Games have a "known config" that works for the RP6 - I feel like the RP6 or RP5 are some of the most owned and used Android Handhelds so I have high hopes but I thought I'd ask before buying one

Since 12gb RAM isn't an option, 8gb is the only thing left but I've heard that the RAM doesn't bottleneck the RP6

My main intention is to be able to run GameCube and PS2 Games + modern indies from Steam - Silksong, Mina the Hollower, Rain World, Darkest Dungeon, some Visual Novels, maybe some lower end 3D Games (not lower end but I think KCD1 would be the biggest and most demanding game I'd want to play, rather interested in stuff like Brush Burial or Little Nightmares-like games)

I am very much fine with having to tweak something here and there or having the option to tweak for better battery/better performance etc. but if I have to spend half an hour everytime I want to get a new game running, it's not worth it for me

I am somewhat well-versed with PC settings and also some emulation settings on PC but even when it comes to drivers on Android I am absolutely clueless - I think I saw a 20 minute long video about how to do your settings on GameNative so that's something I'd be willing to watch as well.. Putting in 5 hours of work, not so much

Cheers yall, thanks for the replies!

Any ImmSim on 3DS, DS, GBA, SNES etc?

Basically anything a modded 3DS can run - also kinda gives the question if 2D ImmSims even really exist since those would usually run on the 3DS if they were old

Would like to play a good ImmSim again but am mostly capable of playing on 3DS or my Vita as of lately since I can't bring myself to play on PC (stupid ik but I always end up doing personal work stuff like setting up my own server or checking out stuff I need for it)

Save images directly to SD

fyi: It's a DSi with CFW, running HiyaCFW on normal boot with the option for TwilightMenu++

Recently got a DSi after only ever owning 3DS and I've been growing my Handheld collection in the past few months - the DSi is honestly one of my favorite Handhelds rn and unironically the Camera is one of the biggest reasons for it

I carry it around to play anyways, keep that thing in sleep mode every now and then so I can just whip it out and take a crappy but vibey photo and go on with my life

The only thing that's annoying is that I can't figure out a way to save the images directly to the SD card/make it not use the Internal Storage at all - I actually also really like the feature of images being shown on the top screen so I'd like to be able to keep that going if I can just use the SD card

BQ Aquaris *M*4.5

Found the phone just today and since it runs horribly on Android I thought I might as well try to get Ubuntu running

Problem is that the supported Ubuntu Touch device is the *E*4.5 instead of the *M*4.5 and I suspect it not working because of that - it basically crashed when I tried installing it towards the end with a (I think) very useless error code

New to Miniature Games - Turnip28 a good start?

There's a few reasons why I find Turnip28 extemely interesting

- the models I've seen so far look beautiful

- free official models to 3D-print (bet I can manage to find someone to print them with somewhat good material)

- uses few minis so not an extreme space investment

Now I have neither read nor really watched anything about the Gameplay but I remember seeing something a year back and being interested on a gameplay level too

I don't live in a city so people playing around me isn't really relevant and I will try to get enough minis to play with another person anyways

Also thinking about it since my girlfriend actually likes these minis and really didn't like any other I showed her so she might also be interested in either playing or at least painting

Are there any quirks/anything I have to expect with the game like having to modify stuff on my own to properly work oe is the game fully playable without any problems?

Also since I'm from Germany, it would of course be interesting if there's at least a few people here that play it

Smaller Android Handheld instead of Steam Deck - which to pick?

Android Handheld Market is moving fast and a lot fastee than I can keep up with as someone who looks into it maybe every few months - I likely will wait a bit more until I grab one but I never know maybe tomorrow is the day (since Steam Frame will be a thing and steam funding arm stuff it's probably smartest to wait rn)

Now to the main question:

What smaller Android handheld would you recommend that can either get close to or possibly surpass (?) the power of the Steam Deck - I love that thing but my god is it clunky.. Playing on a PSVita for hours is lovely but Steam Deck requires playing just dance irl to be comfortable for more than 15 Minutes - best thing about it are the touchpads imo for playing strategy games

Now from what I know there's the Retroid Pocket 6 and the Ayn Odin 3 that are at a similar level to the Steam Deck or at least run a lot of old/2D/Indie Games incredibly well but I'm unsure about the actual performance etc - can they also eun Cyberpunk for example? Is one of them better when it comes to compatibility?

iirc the RP6 is smaller so more what I am looking for, especielly since I don't actually intend on playing something like Cyberpunk or KCD2

Maybe something new dropped last week that stomps those two devices idk xD

Getting back into it - feels unfair, stopped playing before the Endboss

Around a year ago I poured in quite a few hours while I was on vacation and really had my fun with it.. I grinded a lot to get my heroes up to level 5 or 6

Feeling ready I went into the Darkest Dungeon and.. Didn't even see the boss, just died to some road enemies for what I remember feeling like a dumb/cheap reason

Now I wanna give it a shot again but am not only completely out of it but also kinda thinking I mightve had a shitty team comp/team comps (Main was PD, Occultist, Highwayman and Crusader - first slots were pretty expandable but I relied on PD and Occultisr for support/heal)

Now I just went in one Map with my lvl 3 Characters to not lose excessive amounts of progress if I die - my fucking Occulties just drops dead within literally a round and I am aware how unlucky I got but it feels like the game was telling me to piss of and cry myseld to sleep xD

Anything I can do to reach the Endboss within reasonable tim/anything that is basically required to get there? I'd like to finish the game for several reasons but closure and just continuing with however I wanna play without the goal of getting to the end is nice too

I've been holding off on posting before but my experience today gave me the rest

Mary Skelter 2 - saving throughout the game?

This is my first Dungeon Crawler ever unless Darkest Dungeon is one but that felt fundamentally different even from the start

I've played around 1-2 hours of actual gameplay (time spent ingame longer since I was talking to people while playing) and managed to get through prologue to chapter 1

Since I had something else to do I quit, thinking that for sure it had to save once I hit the Chapter 1 Intro scene - well fuck me, it didnt.. Half an hour of gameplay down the drain, if not more (sure, dialogue is skippable but still)

Now I am confused.. Am I stupid for not finding a way to save while in dialogue, are they stupid for not including a way to save while in dialogue or what the hell is going on here?

Also how is saving handled in other DRPGs? I have intentions on playing others but mainly on handheld and would like to be able to kinda save and stop the game whenever (like out of fight at least)

I kinda like the idea of the game, it being monotonous/simple enough to be played while doing something else but still being engaging enough.. If I can't save at least ever 10 minutes then the Game is probably dead to me tho

This one's too strong to power/charge the PSP right?

Besides the 3A its about the same as what the PSP charger has but from my knowledge the 3A are exactly what would hurt the PSP? Sorry I'm really bad with tech when it comes to this specific thing

If not, I can at least check whether the PSP works until I get the battery and with that also a charger - at best I don't need a new one

Would honestly be really funny if it's not even the right plug but I am positive that it should be

GBA (SP) Flash Carts

Firstly I wanna ask whether or not I can use a singular flashcart on two different GBAs - I own a regular GBA but eventually also want to get a GBA SP for collection purposes and funsies (also kinda nice how small it is)

From my knowledge it shouldn't be a problem since the saves are stored on the cart but maxbe there's some exceptions?

Then also - what is the "best" Flashcart for usage on gba.. It's very confusing as there are so many different ones

EZ Flash Omega (Air/Regular/Definitive Edition)

SuperChis

Everdrive GBA mini/pro

Supercard GBA

and probably a lot more that I didn't find yet

What's the upsides/downsides of the cards - from what I've heard there's games that don't run on certain cards but do on others

Can they run GameBoy/GameBoy Color games too?

Sorry if this has been asked a million times already but with how fast things seem to be changing here, it's kinda hard to get on top as a newcomer.

Quit spotify, need help with sorting playlists and albums

So I am working on quitting Spotify, I downloaded pretty much ALL of my playlists from Spotify and I also started collecting full Albums which as of now are being listened to in MusicBee

Now if I added my Spotify Playlists to MusicBee one way or another, my whole Album selection would just be ruined because there'd be thousands of single songs out of an Album since I just put random stuff in playlists depending on vibes - as of now I also have the problem that I downloaded Songs several times so basically I just have a folder for each playlist but songs can overlap with other folders
So far for my pc, now for the phone

I'd like to be able to do the same splitting on my phone as well, so being able to only see the full Albums/full discography of an artist and being able to play playlists without essentially having to just "run the folder" - I hope you understand what I'm trying to say

tl;dr
Way to get rid of duplicate songs while keeping playlist?
Way to keep playlists random songs out of my Album/full discography section/app?
Same thing for phone

It's super weird because I bet there's an easy solution but I'm either not seeing it or it's more complicated than I expect it to be

edit:
I found a "fix", at least in MusicBee - when creating a new Music tab you can set filters
I made an Album tab with the filter "Album track count is greater than 3" so that it only shows EP's and Albums
I made an Artist tab with the filter "Artist track count is greater than 2" so that it only shows Artists and their songs that aren't there for featuring another artist

Simulate active PS+? - BG3 LAN game only with PS+ Account

Very specific question I know but maybe someone else has ran into the same problem

I want to play BG3 together with my gf without having to use splitscreen or taking turns and I thought "oh yeah great, I can just run the game on my ps5 and on my PC, connect the ps5 to PC via local network and be happy"

Yeah fuck that, I need an Playstation account, possibly even with ps+ active

Is there any way to make the console think I HAVE ps+ just for the sake of being able to play in my local network?

I swear I've expected a lot of shit from Sony but needing an account for LOCAL MULTIPLAYER is beyond comprehension to me

Compressing gamefiles - compression tool?

So of course I know of WinRAR and 7zip, after some research I came to find out about NanaZIP and PeaZIP but I couldn't really find out which of those are really the best when it comes to just compression if we leave out time as a factor - as long as it's not too slow at least

I want to save some of my favorite Steam Games with a Steam Emulator and since I don't intend on really using them actively and want to just preserve them, I can just put them into some heavily compressed format to save as much space as possible.. Now the question is, what format/software is what I am searching for?

Games "jittering" on Kstuff but not Kstuff lite dr

I'm on 5.10 and I thought that Kstuff was the way to go for me but nope, the games run horribly on Kstuff

I just switched to Kstuff lite dr and all of a sudden its buttery smooth

Any reason for this? Is Kstuff just for higher fw or is it something else that's causing this? Does SM+ just aork better together wirh Kstuff dr?

5.10 y2jb games don't show up

Using Y2JB everything works, I got kstuff up and running, as well as payloadmanager and nanodns.. Shadowmount plus doesn't recognize/show Demon's Souls which I put into data/homebrew - same thing with itemzflow or game compressor

WTF am I doing wrong?

File is in ffpfsc as that's basically the only way I can properly transfer stuff to my ps5 right now..
What am I missing? Shadowmount should be able to recognize ffpfsc files?

5.10 setup help

I've been sitting at my desk/in front of my TV for literally 5 hours now and I'm not getting stuff to work
Since I'm interested in Linux, I want to use UTMX to JB and I got far enough to actually get the JB running - now for the first problem: I didn't manage to change the DNS to manual since it told me my ISP was blocking it
Then I went on the UTMX site manually, used idlesauce's UTMX and got confused as to where Linux was - just a few minutes ago I realized I had to use Zeco UTMX for Linux

Now for the next problem: To get to Zeco UTMX I have to have the DNS settings working

All the recent videos or posts I have seen about utility apps require elfArsenal which I for the life of me can't get to run because I simply don't understand the github pages

Can someone please tell me what homebrew softwares I actually need to

  1. run ps5 games
  2. run ps4 games
  3. have the ability to boot into linux

I feel incredibly stupid because I quite frankly don't understand anything I am seeing here on the wiki or on github and I would be so incredibly happy if anyone could help me get things set up properly.

2460MB/s external fast enough?

I don't want to buy an external SSD since it's just so damn expensive and with the possibility of FPKG alternative coming I also don't need too much external Storage

I'm contemplating on buying the 5tb SeaGate PS4/PS5 licensed external Hard Drive because it says it can run PS4 Games externally and thus I am assuming it sill also work with a JB PS5

Now the thing:

Is this marketing and running it off the HDD actually doesn't work, crashes, takes literal minutes to load or is it just slower than an SSD - so for example instead of 5-10 seconds of loading it's more like 30 seconds

Simply put: Would it work and if so, how slow/fast? edit: appareantly Amazon is trolling me and the drive actually is limited to 130MB/s

How long for your first Survivor playthrough? -should I play Hunter, wait for Downpour sale or get some mods now?

I've just finished Rain World and I want more - 21 hours on Steam, 3 times restarted, 12 hours for the actual playthrough from start to finish

I will for sure get Downpour and probably The Watcher as well once it hits a sale buut until then I need something to do xD

I don't know if I will enjoy getting the passages so I would probably not focus on that but I'm sure there's some other echoes that I haven't found

I'm unsure if I wanna go around collecting the unlocks for custom mode or whatever it is, same thing with the colored pearls (tho that I might genuinely want to do for the loore) - is it worth it or is that something you do after you've done absolutely everything else?

So how different is Hunter to Survivor when it comes to story, environment etc.?

Are there cool mods you can recommend? What would you advise me to do next?
