Fresh Fruit For Rotting Vegetables has always stood out to me as being way ahead of the curve as far as hardcore goes at the time. There are tons of riffs that go far beyond punk are straight up thrash metal. The drumming I think is also cleaner and more technical than a lot of the punk drumming from that time. Just such a crazy record that holds up even all these years later. It’s crazy to think that came out in 1980.

Is it ever explained how Skynet originally came about? I’m talking about before anyone or any Terminators were ever sent back in time.

Cyberdyne Systems and Skynet happen in T2 because of the recovery of the first Terminator’s arm at the end of the first film. This creates the paradox where everything happens because the Terminator was sent back in time.

I’ve always wondered: what if the Terminator actually killed Sarah Connor? Wouldn’t this theoretically eliminate Skynet? With the Terminator killing her, wouldn’t it just lie dormant or go on blending in until its power supply runs out? If the first Terminator is never recovered then Skynet never gets created.

I have Payoneer automatically through Tunecore. When you set up Tunecore, it automatically creates a Payoneer account for you and links it. The hope is that one day I will be able to withdraw some amount of money from Tunecore but it will be through Payoneer. We are talking really small amounts, though. Does anybody else have any experience with this?

On a fucking current rewatch right now and I forgot just how fucking good “No Other Sons or Daughters” is. What a fuckin fantastic fuckin episode, but then it’s followed up by “Mister Wu” which I’ve held up for years as one of my fuckin all time favorite hours of fuckin television. It’s just perfect. This show was so ahead of its time. They really fuckin don’t make television like this anymore.

I’d be inclined to say Season 2 is the best, but there’s just something so special about fuckin Season 1. It feels most nostalgic to me. Season 3 is of course also fuckin amazing.

He never had the makings of a varsity cooze chaser. He should have seriously considered salads. I was ashamed to face my friends.

I’m posing this question because IMAX 70mm is what I obviously would prefer to see this in, but nearly all the good seats for every single showtime are taken up already (LA area) It seems like I’m gonna have to wait until more showtimes are hopefully added past what’s showing already.

I do have an IMAX theater where I live, but it’s digital projection only. The IMAX theater itself is very good, but I feel like it’s a disservice to this movie to see it projected digitally.

I frequent the Vista Theater in Hollywood and they’re showing the movie in 70mm, and I’m sure it will be gorgeous, but I know a fair amount of the top and bottom will be cropped. I do vastly prefer watching movies projected on film over digital. I hardly ever go to regular theaters anymore. If I want to see a new release, I tend to drive down to the Vista a lot of the time.

I saw Sinners in Digital IMAX when it first came out then again back in February in Ultra Panavision 70mm at the Vista and, honestly, I preferred the 70mm version. I also saw The Dark Knight there in 35mm last month and I didn’t feel like I was missing too much of the picture, even after seeing the Blu Ray with the IMAX scenes countless times.

I'm wanting to see The Odyssey in IMAX 70mm but my next closest theater for that would be the Universal Citywalk in Burbank which is almost entirely sold out for every screening. Pretty much only the worst seats left for every showtime at that theater.

My next best option is to see it in 70mm at the Vista Theater in Hollywood, which I frequent. I'd really prefer to see this projected on film, even over digital IMAX.

I just went and saw Sepultura/Exodus/Biohazard/Tribal Gaze on the final show of Sepultura’s North American leg of their farewell tour. Holy shit, to say the pit was crazy is an understatement. It is very close to the top for the most insane pit I’ve ever been in. Only about 1,500 person capacity I think and everyone was just crammed to the max. It made the moshing so much more brutal but made the music so much better. Everything just hit so much harder. Add onto that, Dukes did a Wall of Death during “Strike of The Beast” and it was just awesome.

A couple other contenders are probably the first time I saw Slayer with Testament/Carcass opening, the last time I saw Slayer with Lamb of God/Anthrax/Behemoth/Testament opening, and Cannibal Corpse/Municipal Waste/Full of Hell/Fulci.

What are your best mosh pits you’ve been in?

My girlfriend and her daughter live with me. She claims that she wants me to be a dad to her daughter, yet every time I make a suggestion or act in a parental role, she shuts me down and gets defensive.

Her daughter is not a bad kid, but she has absolutely no discipline. She has missed so much school and I’ve lost count of how many letters we’ve gotten in the mail about her attendance. My girlfriend says that she’s in contact with the principal because her daughter has depression, ADHD, OCD, and I think she’s just using it as an excuse to not have to lay down the law. I get she struggles with these things, but she can’t just use that as an excuse to stay home and do nothing. Her daughter stayed home from school today and was asleep until close to 3 PM. She tries to wake her up and then just gives up because she complains that she doesn’t want to go to school.

Her daughter is also a hoarder. Her room is unlivable. You can’t walk in there. The floor is covered in trash and random things. Her bathroom is similar.

I feel guilty because I feel like this kid deserves better, and I’ve tried, but all it does is cause this conflict between me and my girlfriend. I can’t do anything in a parental capacity without it backfiring on me every single time. And I see how she is not being an involved mother and it really bothers me.

She takes her to therapy and it hasn’t been doing anything for her. She thinks getting her on medication will help and it just makes her dependent on a pill.

This stuff has been a factor in making me seriously consider ending the relationship. I wish I could do more, but she isn’t legally my child, yet my girlfriend wants to pick and choose when she should be.

My girlfriend and I moved in a little over a year ago and I think it might be the worst decision I’ve ever made. I have felt more miserable and alone with her than I did by myself or even with my ex. I’m seriously considering moving out as soon as I can. Whether it’s breaking the lease (Which would require both of us) or just biding my time and moving out next year when the lease is up.

First off, she is a hoarder. Our house is such a mess and it’s draining for me. I’ve asked her to clean it up and she gets mad at me because she feels like I’m lecturing her. She says I should help sweep and mop but I can’t because her stuff is literally covering the floors all over the house. Our living room, our bedroom, the kitchen, the dining room. All of it. My office is the only room that is not a mess. It’s depressing because I don’t even want to leave my room. It’s overwhelming trying to navigate the mess. She leaves dishes all over the counter as well and it piles up to where I can’t even prepare food.

Her daughter lives with us and she takes after her almost to a T. Her room is even worse and it looks like a homeless person lives in there. It’s genuinely gross.

Anytime I try to make a suggestion to my girlfriend to help her daughter, she just shuts me down and refuses to hear what I have to say. I find this incredibly demeaning and hurtful.

When we argue, she acts the next day as if nothing happened at all. She just goes about the day. She tells me that I hold grudges, but the truth is that there’s no resolution. She just avoids the problem. She acts like everything is fine when it’s not. We’ll fight over something and then she just walks about like it never happened and acts like something is wrong because I’m still upset. I just know nothing will change.

My girlfriend also lived with her mom for many years before we moved in together. I underestimated what kind of effect this would have. I don’t think she ever learned how to actually be an adult. She is too co-dependent. She doesn’t know how to take responsibility and just gets defensive about every single thing. She says I’m being mean when I’m telling her the truth about what bothers me in our home and our relationship. She refuses to change anything.

I just don’t know how much more I can take. I try to be happy in this relationship but I’m just not. She claims that I just want to fight and that’s not it at all. I wish we could communicate but she genuinely doesn’t know how. She literally just walks away when the conversation gets uncomfortable. I’m honest with her about what troubles me in the relationship and somehow it always ends up being my fault.

I genuinely don’t think she is a good girlfriend or a good mom, yet it seems like she just always wants to think she’s in the right. I’ve never once heard her admit she’s wrong about something in an argument. Anytime she’s said sorry, it’s been in a snide manner. I am hopeless at this point for anything to change.
