Looking for an endocrinologist- suggestions needed

Hello everyone!

I'm on the lookout for the best endocrinologist in Hartford and West Hartford, but I'm also open to traveling a bit further if necessary. I'm particularly interested in someone who specializes in thyroid and adrenal gland. I have some thyroid and adrenal issues that require attention, so I'm seeking a highly recommended professional who can provide the best care. A person who ACTUALLY listens to their patient and is willing to do testing to get to the root cause. I want someone who truly knows what they are doing and is knowledgeable.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Advice needed

So I recently got married (small ceremony), and something has been bothering me about my stepmother-in-law.

For context, she showed up to our wedding wearing beige. like a brown skirt with a beige sweater. It was winter. She didn’t bother to wear a dress even and color wise, it felt weirdly close to “wearing white” territory. She’s not someone who lacks taste or money either. her house is beautifully decorated and she usually dresses well. So it didn’t feel like ignorance… more like a choice.

Then there’s the gift. She gave me clothes that were completely off. wrong size (I’m clearly a small, she got me a medium), really unflattering color and pattern, and honestly just cheap-feeling polyester. She has eyes and sees how I dress and I dress nicely so It didn’t feel thoughtful at all, especially since I actually put effort into her gift. It kind of added to this overall vibe that she just… doesn’t like me. I am thinking of getting her same kind of gifts from now on because why reciprocate is she is acting like this??? What do u think?

She is in her 60s. She’s also made comments before about us waiting to get married to my husband, complains a lot in general as a person, and isn’t exactly a joy to be around and I find her annoying ( and I rarely find anyone annoying!) My husband isn’t even that close to her, so it’s not like there’s a strong bond there to begin with.

So now I’m stuck on how to handle this. Do I say something about the gift (like mention the size or that it’s not really my style), or just let it go? Should my husband handle it instead? Or is this one of those situations where I just keep things polite and distant and not expect much?

I really don’t care if she does not like me, i just want to know how to best handle this.

Also, if reading this, please don’t be ( turn into) this person in the future ladies.

Book rec for an ex- book worm?

Hello all,

I used to be a worm book up until 18 but for some reasons i stopped and got interested in cinema more.

That being said, I’d like to get back to reading books and hopefully be an avid reader again.

I enjoy good writing, i like drama, humor, philosophy, fiction and a lot more in books and don’t really have a type. The most important thing for me is the quality of writing.

Can you please recommend me some good books?
I’d like to read two at a time; a light one and a more complicated one.
Looking forward to reading your suggestions! Thanks!

stainless steel baking sheets that come with cooling racks

Hey everyone!

I'm on the hunt for some quality stainless steel baking sheets that come with cooling racks, preferably as a set. I want to make sure they’re made in the USA and are great quality. I’ve already checked out options like All-Clad and Cuisinart, but I'm looking for something different and want to avoid anything made in China.

If you have any suggestions or recommendations, I’d really appreciate it. Thanks a bunch!

Indoor trampoline

Hi all,
I’m looking to buy an Indoor adult trampoline and I’m wondering what is the best option out there?
Is there anything with natural rubber instead of plastic? If not what is the safest option that’s is bpa free and as non toxic as possible?

Thank you!

Treeboard cutting boards reviews needed

Hello all,
Has anyone bought a cutting board from this small business? If yes please share your experience with me.
Also is there any danger to go for a non famous business rather than the well-known brands?

For reference, I’m looking for a high quality one piece wooden cutting board that’s made in USA. Please let me know if you have any suggestion.

Thanks!

Unique jewelry recommendations

Hi everyone!

I'm searching for jewelry designers who create unique and interesting pieces, whether it's rings, bracelets, or anything else. I'm not looking for traditional styles. i want something truly one-of-a-kind. The only designer I know as of right now is Doron Merav, who makes unique rings.
If you have any suggestions for jewelers who create unique, creative and non traditional jewelry, please let me know! Thank you!
