AAPL rallied +3.14% to 283.78 Friday on 4.9 times normal volume

Last Thursday. AAPL plunged 6.12% to 275.15 over concerns on Apple's hardware profit margins from the severe AI driven memory chip shortages. It was the worst AAPL drop since it plunged 7.29% on 4/4/2025 amidst global tariffs concerns. This Thursday drop was on 2.1x normal volume of 107M shares. Much less than the massive 5-10x downside volume of a year earlier.

On Friday, institutions went in to support AAPL shares near 275, the Thursday low of 273.75 was defended as Friday's low was 274.21 as shares clawed back nearly half of Thursday losses, +3.14% to 283.78. Volume was 4.9x normal volume at 262M shares.

So in short:

Thursday: Margin Fear (2.1x Vol) 🔴 ----> Unprecedented mid-cycle product price hikes Friday: Big Money Absorbs (4.9x Vol) 🟢 -> Institutions defend $275 support / Bullish engulfing

News late Sunday, Apple is in talks with the White House for the ability to purchase memory from ChangXin Memory Technologies (CXMT), China's largest DRAM manufacturer.

Did my 1st SPCX options today

Woke up early before any indications on the SPCX maiden options trading day June 16, 2026. Pre open with SPCX still under 203, I placed multiple STO Put orders at 150 to 195 Strikes. Got filled at $8 for the 190 Puts. The premium was lower, much lower than I calculated hours before, especially with the 229 printed overnight.

I guess the premium may have halved due to the all stock $60 billion deal for Cursor AI, but that news was not at all un-expected. So now as I write this, SPCX has climbed to #4 market cap, ahead of Amazon and now Microsoft nearing $3 Trillion.

SPCX options start trading today June 16, 2026

CBOE SPCX Options strikes

For this short week, Strikes from 25 to 380 are available.

There had been talk of a Gamma squeeze with options online. This is a major concern if SPCX became a 3, 4, and 5 Trillion stock in a day. Causing massive selloffs in other assets.

Addressing this, CBOE starts SPCX options with many strikes, making a G Squeeze less likely as options activity is scattered across many different strike prices.

Too few strikes can contribute to massive concentration of volume at a few specific strike prices, causing a launching effect.

Right now, at the money could be 200 by the time market opens. 5 to 10% premium may be the price of admission for this thrill ride.

SPCX at 2.27 Trillion Market Cap - 6th highest and within 12% of AMZN

When combined with TSLA, the other publicly traded Elon Musk company, market cap at 3.77 Trillion.

Based on this table, we wonder which are used as COF for today's massive 75 billion SPCX IPO. SPCX is the only non profitable stock with market cap above 1 Trillion. While the TAM is enormous, over the next 5 years, it is not expected to be profitable. At least one analyst has issued a Sell with 115 target as SPCX started trading this morning.

CFRA analyst Keith Snyder rate SPCX at Sell and a target of 115. That's a loss of -14.8% at the IPO price and -30.3% at news release. Keith Snyder's previous 3 sell ratings have proved to be timely. He downgraded CHTR to sell Dec 2025 with a target of 165 and CHTR is 141.82 now. Back in 2020, Snyder downgraded ZM to Sell with 215 when ZM was 568, it's now at 94. Finally, he issued a Sell on MAT in 2018 with 11 target. MAT traded near 9 the same year.

Aswath Damodaran - NYC Professor says he may buy SPCX at $1.3 Trillion Market Cap

but at $1.8 Trillion SPCX stock is overvalued. For a value investor to buy a company stock with no earnings says a lot.

AI Darlings AVGO and CRWD falling hard after earnings

Broadcom AVGO The AI Infrastructure Enabler, the "arms dealer" for AI hardware, working alongside NVDA in building custom, tailored AI processors (ASICs) for tech giants like Google and Meta, is getting smoked after earnings tonight. Into the 420s after closing at 479

CrowdStrike CRWD The AI Cybersecurity Darling also plunged after results into 650s after closing at 747.

Is this multi month run finally over or just an excuse to trim, making room for the $1.75 trillion SPCX IPO?
