Blowed account ...

I blew my funded account just because i got emotional...

I did a great profit

Then could not stop and did a second trade...

It put me into a small loss...

Then I did again a small trade to get the small loss (only 50usd!!!) back.

Then this put me into a new loss and now I was down 300usd...

And now.... I fully got emotional and tradet one full NQ Contract and after 5 Minutes the account was blown up I was learning and making small progress on since 10 trading days...

Those trades were 0% market context... Just seeing thing that aren't there and just fully let me reptile brain "survive" for me.

Men it sucks... at the moment were i got emotional i feelt very stressed in my hole body mixed with aggression and some kind of "I don't give a fuck anymore" mindset that gave the account the rest.

Before - following strict rules - learning each trade - improving and account was growing with some normal Drawdowns..

After - loose control and gambled the account down within a few minutes.

How I blew a stable prop firm account in 5 minutes – The psychological crash from trader to gambler

Hey everyone,

I just need to write this off my chest because I feel absolutely miserable right now and need a reality check. Maybe someone here recognizes themselves in this or can explain how to stop this mental short-circuit.

The Starting Point (It was actually going perfectly): This morning my $50k account was sitting strong at $51,000 USD. I had a clean analysis, waited patiently for a setup on the higher timeframes, and locked in a clean $500 USD profit. The system worked. The process worked. I was in the green.

The Real Root Cause (The Slow Slide): It all started way before the final 5-minute explosion. The moment I stopped following my own rules and started putting massive pressure on myself—telling myself “I HAVE to pass this challenge”—it was a slow, steady slide downhill piece by piece. The rigidity of my trading plan dissolved, replaced by forced expectations.

The Trigger & The Physical Reaction: Later in the day, a short trade hit its stop loss. Completely normal, totally part of the business. But in that exact fraction of a second, an internal physical wave hit me: raw aggression, physical trembling, and a total inability to accept reality. I simply could not accept that the trade was a loss and that the market didn't care about my plans. Instead of closing the laptop, that toxic reflex kicked in: “This can't be, I need to win that money back right now.”

The Crash (The "Relapse"): It's exactly like a real addiction relapse. It never starts with total destruction; it starts with the small exceptions:

  • First you start bending your own rules because of the inner pressure.
  • You jump out of frustration into the M1 micro-noise (not because trading M1 is impossible—I know pros do it—but because trading it in that state is pure, emotional casino-style action).
  • You take a few emotional trades to make up for the loss.
  • And in the final tunnel vision, consumed by that inner aggression and loss of control, you tear down all guardrails: I hammered a full NQ contract into the market and blew the account completely within 5 minutes. $49,700 – eval failed.

The Bitter Realization: The market didn't defeat me today. My setup wasn't the problem. My analysis was actually correct at its core.

I broke my own neck because the moment it hurts, I lose control over my own head and body. You always think you have discipline as long as things are going well. But the real test for a trader isn't how they handle wins, it's how they handle the first loss when aggression boils over and you refuse to accept reality. I acted like an absolute amateur and a gambler – zero code, zero rules, just blind actionism.

Right now I'm standing here, the money is gone, the challenge is blown, and honestly, I'm kind of scared of myself and this destructive mechanism.

How do you guys manage to flip that switch in your head and calm that physical aggression when ego takes over after a stop loss? How do you pull the emergency brake in time before throwing the account into the shredder?

How do you deal with the pressure right before the finish line in an evaluation?

Hey everyone,

I'm currently facing a psychological hurdle where I could use some advice from you guys. It's about the classic evaluation phase for a funded account.

I'm close to the goal, but exactly that is triggering quite a bit of mental conflict for me right now:

  • The urge to force it: Because the goal is so close, this unhealthy pressure creeps in to achieve it right now. This leads to impatience, annoyance over missed setups, and the temptation to force trades.
  • The battle between logic and emotion: Rationally, I know very well that trading is a process and not a sprint, and that the system works if you stay disciplined. Emotionally, however, this artificial time pressure keeps interfering.

How do you manage to completely switch off this self-made pressure, let go of the urge for a "speedrun," and view the whole thing purely as a disciplined training program again?

Looking forward to your experiences and tips!

How to be a doer person not a talker or short term doer

How do you become a doer? A long term doer not only a little bit then stop it. Someone who follows through on the things they say they’re going to do.

Heavily problem with porn searching a way out - fighting and failing - need advice... im done.

Hello people...

I am very sad and also i feel very done because i know that i do good in life but i could do soo much better if wouldn't have this porn addiction which breaks me...

I am now 25 years old and i consume it since i was 12 maybe... I had my first sexual experience this year at the age of 25 because i decided to not longer let this addiction hold me back from that... it was with a prostitute... I know some of you will say that this is bad but it helped me too lose the fear of sex... not more or less...

But thats not the point... the point is that I just can't stop using porn...

I am now 25 years old and I never experienced myself without porn and mastrubation for more than 35 days. At this 35 days I did the following things (it is now 1 and a half year ago...)

Go to a salsa course. I had a lot of fear before it...

Got 2 numbers from women

Joined a fight club

Did almost everyday sport and had a way better mood and clarity of what I want to do in my life...

The The porn trap hittet me again... this time with Ai stuff that is more fantasy content...

Okay I wrote too much...

I just would like to get your advices what I should do.

I see on myself that I am not able to control porn without a blocker... should I modify my devices as good as possible round make it as hard as possible to enter this stuff atleast for the next 3 month ? Like a super brutal blocker setup... ?

What i feel on nofap is the pain... oh god... the pain... it gets so loud... and it makes we want to relapse everytime because it is so hard... no friends, isolation, loneliness, no girl...

I deleted now all my social medias aswell because I was just a Dopamin junky on it... I thought i need Instagram to find a woman but It didn't worked pretty well or I am just too unpatient... I don't know...

My brother says to me that I am a sexual very active person and I should fap if I want but avoid porn... but I think that nofap is the better way...

What is your thoughts on this aswell ?

Nofap completely for a time

Or

Fap every 7 days or 5 days only on fantasy ?

I struggle now for the last 2-3 years from fighting this addiction...

I think I need stronger help... yes I have a backpack in my life as most of us... but I don't want to see me in the future and still be the same...

I just feel very depressed...

I also startet watching porn stuff not related to my Sexuality after some time because normal porn didn't catched me that much anymore... I am an hetero male... this also makes me feel very ashamed...

Its always the same until now... building up... 1,2,3 weeks, feeling better, maybe also feeling worse but feeling worse because of the pain and the pain of progress and then fall back on the face and feel like a peace of shit who cant control himself.

also this kind of strategy hopping... its the best to fap all 5-7 days once but no porn. No its the best to not fap or watch porn for the next months or years, no its the best to go to a prostitute every 2 weeks if i dont find a girl until then (which is very low probability in this stage..), .... i think you get what i mean... what should I do ?

I was able to stop smoking weed after heavy addiction like 5 years ago, stopped smoking like 3-4 years ago and I don't drink alcohol because it makes me aggressive... I can beat addictions but this addiction keep me so strong... so strong.

I was also thinking about praying to god or something like that...

i just need help... this really kills me inside.

I also want to tell that i used a highly strong blocker... it really keeps me away from all this stuff but it is so hard that I even blocked images on ebay or amazon or used specific browsers so I can't find a trick to turn my blocker system offline. This way is the way I programmed for myself by many relapses... a blocker system that offers me the access to the stuff I need but limit everything else... for example I can only access websites I whitelisted, or i can only open apps outside home with gps lock... forget Google or this stuff because there are too many pictures... I don't know if I should tell me I will now go this way continuously... finally the blocker system is so strong that there is absolutely no way around it... but I also need to learn by surviving by my own and not only with blockers.

Thanks for your time if you readed until here and all the best.

Set and Forget vs. Active Management - Dealing with emotional triggers in Nasdaq trading

I’m looking for some honest feedback from experienced traders regarding my workflow. I trade the Nasdaq (MNQ) using 15m and 30m charts. The Situation: I have a history of successful payouts with CFD accounts and instant funded accounts, but I recently struggled with emotional trading during a high-volatility event (Nasdaq open), leading to a blown account. I am currently starting a new $50k funded challenge.

The Problem - I have a bad habit of 'revenge trading' or over-managing my positions when I'm away from my desk (working as a mechanic). I want to move away from mobile-based active management. My goal is to execute a setup, set my SL/TP, and then shut down the app completely. I only want to use TradingView notifications to know the outcome. My Questions - Set and Forget vs. Active Management: Is 'Set and Forget' (no touching the trade once executed) a viable long-term strategy for Nasdaq trading, or is it mandatory to actively manage positions (e.g., moving to Break Even) to survive? Trade Limits: Does it make sense to enforce a hard daily limit (e.g., 1 or 2 trades per day) to prevent 'revenge trading' loops, or does this limit my edge if multiple setups appear? Workflow: How do you handle trading while having a full-time job without falling into the trap of constant chart-watching?

I am trying to engineer a system that removes my ability to 'tinker' with trades once they are live, as that is where I currently lose my discipline. Any advice or alternative perspectives would be appreciated.
