Do luxury brands only make smaller narrow frames or am I missing something?
I was looking around on online at Matsuda, Moscot, and Masahiro Maruyama and I keep coming across the same thing. All the lenses are 46-49mms across with 52mm being seemingly the largest lens width and it’s like one frame on the site. Then in contrast all the bridges are much wider at 23-26mms.
All the glasses I’ve worn and seen in the industry that are your Luxotica or Warby Parker type variety usually have a lens width of 52-57mms and bridge of 15-19mms.
I am someone who needs a lens of AT LEAST 54mms usually. Currently wearing a frame that’s 55-18-140.
Do these frames just fit way differently across the board? How does the wide bridge and narrow lens compare? The measurements seem so radically different to any glasses I’ve tried and yet everyone on here looks great and frames fit beautifully. Do you need a specific head for them?
