After completing RLcraft 2 months ago, i have an itch for a game that progresses the same way

I want encounter a region/boss that's too strong for me, then just go around killing smaller enemies to get XP and level up, explore side dungeons to find better loot or crafting materials, then finally come back and defeat the boss

And yes this feels like im just describing elden ring but after 1.8k+ hours, im genuinely bored of that game now lol

I heard Terraria has a very similar progression. Is the game worth playing if i absolutely loved rlcraft?

Also, for game recommendations, i genuinely dont have a preference. I will play anything as long as the progression is fun and meaningful

long story short, i had both games on my ps5 and enjoyed them equally. Around 200 hours on each game. I got a gaming PC last month and want to start playing some MP games now and I wanted to know which game has a more active community. I really dont wanna sit in the queue for 15+ minutes just to find one game :) Which one should I buy? Thanks!
