Question about TQQQ

I wanted to make sure I understand exactly what this 3x leveraged fund performs.

I have heard about "price decay", and am wondering - if I look at Seeking Alpha's momentum performance - that site has the clearest presentation of the data - over a few months, one year, five year, etc., does that truly indicate what the returns are? In other words, if someone invests $1000 and it says 100% over five years, does that mean $1000 became $2000 or did it become something else because of the decay? This is very unclear to me. I also ask because I have read something about daily resets, and am wondering if that basically makes the performance deviate from what is reported. Thank you.

Article about Davy Jones and Richard Marx

Richard Marx Shares 'Crazy Manifestation Story' of Meeting Davy Jones at 5 Years Old, and Then Again 30 Years Later

I don't know if this has already been posted, but I read this article (maybe it is old, too, and just reappeared for some reason) and wanted to link it here because honestly, I think we can all agree, David Jones was one of the nicest people ever. I met him years ago, and the story Marx tells rings absolutely true. And I remember reading in Davy's book - can't remember the tale exactly right now, but - about him going all out for a fan, I think he went the extra mile of inconvenience for him or her. You would think some of a story like that was made up, but I know it isn't. His generosity was unique. I'm sure there were times where something was happening that prevented him from being his usual self, but not only was that probably rare, one would have to remember it was simply life giving him no choice.

I love all of The Monkees, but I do have to say, the other three could not compete with his demeanor. Absolutely their right to be what they're going to be, as a certain song lyric teaches us, and not only do I not hold it against them, I respect it and encourage it...sure, when I met Micky Dolenz, wasn't exactly what one might want, but I will never not like the guy.

But Davy...he was something else entirely.

Question about "Star Wars" story

Has there even been a short story, novel, or sequence in a book, where Obi-Wan's ghost tries to convince a worker on the Death Star to sabotage/destroy it?

Question about bird species

I have three main types of birds that come to my feeder bowls:

-Small brown ones

-Medium-sized black birds

-Larger black birds that sort of look purple depending on where the sun strikes them (and sometimes there are larger black birds with no purple, but seem to be part of the same species...and, just to add, I don't know if this is the same species or not, but there are some that almost look professionally tagged by researchers with red markings on the feathers, just one on each side)

Not great descriptions, and I can't take photos (never got into the smart-phone thing because I am too old for that and only have an older one for emergencies), sorry about that. But any ideas? On the small ones, I assume they are either starlings/finches/sparrows, but I usually think of them as finches. I'm particularly curious about the medium ones.

Question about residuals vs. profit participation

I see pop up every now and then articles that contain the quote about the Friends cast making $20 million annually in residuals.

I'd like to know: this actually is a misnomer, correct? It should be $20 million annually in profit participation as opposed to guild payments? And is it possible the figure is no longer relevant (i.e., maybe they earn less these days?)?

What is the best AI search to use for investing?

I would like to suggest to Fidelity that it try to get, as fast as possible, its own AI software - even if in conjunction with something existing - that would allow investors to ask question for research purposes, and to feel essentially like talking to an advisor. As an example, I might ask "What is the ROIC for DIS over the last five years?", "What stock is breaking out right now?", "What stock has a head and shoulders pattern?", etc. Obviously brokerages might be working on this, but I would love to see Fidelity do this. One way to help pay for it might be to offer access to analyst notes for nominal fees, like 50 cents per note.

But, as my post title says, in lieu of this for now, what do other Fidelity users think is the best AI to use for this kind of thing? I love Microsoft, think it oftentimes gets a bad rap, and own the stock, but truthfully, Co-pilot is not good for stock research...I cannot begin to list the inaccuracies in many of my searches with it. Any tips on what works? Thanks.

I don't use TikTok, but I have heard a lot about Booktok and am intrigued by it. There is a friend of mine who recently wrote a book and which I purchased and am in the middle of reading...we're both older people, and both write as a hobby, and we try to figure out ways of promoting self-published writing.

But, as an older person, obviously I am not savvy with TikTok. So, I wanted to know: if he makes a video promoting his book, or a series of videos doing that, how does he specifically get on Booktok? Is it merely the addition of a tag? I am assuming that is the case, but I have not signed up for the service and simply don't know.

And, a question for myself: I recently wrote a short story that I am particularly proud of and think is a very marketable idea. Can I promote on Booktok as well, or is that literally only for novel-length stuff?

And, finally, I know this is a sensitive question, I know many will disapprove of it, but I will tell you why I ask after I ask it: Can I use an AI-generated video on Booktok to promote my short story, assuming the answer to my previous question is yes? To be honest, I'm not even sure I know how to generate an AI video, but assuming I can learn, is this just ill-advised to do? The reason I want to do this is because I simply have too much anxiety to post myself in a video...scares me way too much. I know my friend wouldn't mind, he uses his actual name for his writing and his photo, but for me, I have gone a pseudonymous route in terms of writing. That is why I ask.

Thanks for reading my post...

The other day, I placed some peanuts-in-a-shell outside, ostensibly for the squirrels, but noticed a bluejay taking them. I am not a knowledgeable bird-feeder, don't know much about birds, and just feed them because the birds are in my yard regardless of whether I do or not (been like that for years) and it basically started because I would throw outdated bread on the grass (eventually grew to feeders, baths, etc.).

Didn't know bluejays did this (funny thing too is it took one, then seconds later, came for the other one, and repeat; where did it place them? Very strange, as no nest is nearby) so I did it again. Problem is, seagulls came, and although I did not see them do it, I presume they may have swallowed them whole.

So, my question is: can peanuts-in-a-shell hurt seagulls? I know seagulls can be a bit of a challenge, but I sometimes try to give them something every now and then, but I do not want to carelessly upset their digestive tracts. Honestly, where I placed the peanuts, I did not think they would notice. If they did actually swallow them, can they handle them? A search did not bring anything up useful at the top at least. Thank you for reading.

...Debbie Harry introduced the musical guest with no applause for her, in contrast to Connor Storie's introduction.

Nothing wrong with that, time marches on, but I couldn't help but think she might as well have been introduced by Bun E. Carlos. Or Mark Mothersbaugh. Or Peter Thorkelson. (You'll have to look them up.) My three favorite bands.

One of my favorite performances, though, was Blondie doing "Dreaming" on an old episode hosted by Steve Martin.

I was curious about something from someone who may work at Coca-Cola, either at corporate or one of the bottlers/store-merch workers.

Both Canada Dry and Dr. Pepper are owned by Keurig. I have read that in the U.S., Coca-Cola does not own these brands, but owns them elsewhere in other markets. (I'm not sure what "owns" means in this context because I don't understand exactly how it can not own in the U.S., but I will move on)

But, from what I further understand, Coca-Cola bottlers are licensed by Keurig to distribute Dry and Pepper.

So, here is my question: does the actual company KO, separate from the bottlers, the one that sells the concentrate, make any money at all if someone buys one of these products in the United States? Or, does the money only go to the bottlers?

Not an important question, and as an owner of KO stock, I sometimes just for fun in my mind link what I buy to my holdings. But I just can't feel the same way about the twelve-pack of Canada Dry I buy as I do the twelve-pack of Diet Coke.

I always look forward to Deadline's articles on movie profits. In the past they framed it as if it was like those basketball tournaments, but I think that analogy may have been de-emphasized over the last couple years. I know they were starting to be published later than March, but this year, with it being almost May, I was curious if anyone knew when they will be arriving, or if the plan is not to do it. Tried contacting Deadline but, as usual, the company never answers (well, I never get an answer anyway, maybe others do). Thanks for any info.

I have read that this proposed attraction will not be coming to Salem. I was curious what people thought about this - it seems like it would have done well. But I was wondering if there was an interest on the part of local businesses that would compete with it to not have it around? Not saying that's the case, just a thought that came to mind. I haven't really followed its proposal and rejection, and was wondering what reason was given not to approve.
