Heres how my exhaust sounds in startup, idle, and revving

I get asked about my exhaust a lot. I currently run Speed engineering long tube 2", 3" pipe, x pipe, and borla ataks. The headers sit too low, so I plan on replacing them

Warning about Gamer LFG: permanently banned over a CurseForge modpack

Posting this as a warning for anyone who uses Gamer LFG, especially for modded Minecraft. I was permanently banned and reported to Discord after someone volunteered to test my Minecraft server/modpack.

As seen below, this is the conversation that led to my ban.

The conversation pretty much speaks for itself. He volunteered to test, I told him beforehand that it was on CurseForge, and told him to use CurseForge's Import function. When CurseForge gave him a warning, he described it to me as “25 mods” that weren't from CurseForge. I hadn't seen the warning yet and initially misunderstood what he meant. When he asked if he needed them, I told him no. Once he actually showed me the warning, I realized he was talking about config files.

The actual CurseForge warning says 25 files, not 25 mods. The files visible in his screenshot were things like:

config/crash_assistant/.../README.md

config/crash_assistant/.../example.jexl

config/crash_assistant/.../example.jexl

config/enhancedai/common-1.toml.bak

These weren't mystery mods I sent him. They're clearly files from the modpack's config directory, including Crash Assistant example/support files and a backup TOML config. This pack had already been run before being exported, so it contained its existing configuration data. CurseForge also gave him the option to install “CurseForge Files Only” or cancel. He didn't have to install those additional files, and I had already told him he didn't need them.

I don't blame him for being cautious. He's 15, told me he barely uses CurseForge, and got a warning saying files could potentially be harmful. My issue is with the admins. I was permanently banned and reported to Discord without anyone contacting me, asking for the ZIP, or asking me to explain what happened.

I still have the exact ZIP. It's a CurseForge-exported modpack containing manifest.json, modlist.html, and overrides/. The manifest identifies it as a Minecraft modpack and contains CurseForge projectID and fileID references. This could have been checked instead of simply assuming what the file was.

Afterward, Gamer LFG posted this:

“Do not ask people to help you test your minecraft mod unless its hosted on a trusted platform, or join a server with custom mods. - Straight ban and reported to Discord for this.

To expand, if you want people to play your mod or game that you are developing, use a platform that is meant for sharing this content. Curseforge, Modrinth, Nexus, Itch, Steam, etc, etc, etc..”

That's the part that makes absolutely no sense to me. They're telling people to use CurseForge when I was already using CurseForge. It was exported from CurseForge, I told the tester it was CurseForge before sending it, told him to import it through CurseForge, and his own screenshot shows CurseForge processing the pack.

Numerous people have since contacted me saying they were banned from Gamer LFG after pointing out that this was a CurseForge modpack. They weren't distributing the pack or telling anyone to download it. They were questioning the admins' characterization of what happened.

Their appeal Discord isn't much better. Despite supposedly existing for bans to be appealed, admins have gone extremely long periods without responding to appeals, including appeals sitting for around a year. People eventually get kicked from the appeal Discord without their appeal being addressed. That makes an appeal system pretty meaningless when bans are immediate and permanent.

The moderation also seems incredibly inconsistent. I've seen people use racial slurs in the server without receiving anything close to this response, yet this resulted in an immediate permanent ban and Discord report.

I'm not saying anyone should blindly install files from strangers. The tester had every right to stop when he became uncomfortable. My issue is permanently banning and reporting someone without investigating, then banning other people for pointing out information that contradicts the admins' version of events, while the supposed appeal process goes unanswered.

I'm posting the DMs and screenshots so people can look at what happened and make their own judgment. If you use Gamer LFG, especially for modded Minecraft, I'd recommend keeping records of your interactions because you may not get an opportunity to explain yourself afterward.

Short race with a 600rr

I honestly thought he was on a 400cc at first because I couldn't see the bike that well. Turns out it's a Honda CBR600RR. Very pretty bike btw.

I think he let off as soon as he saw me inching ahead.

Also had to repost the FULL video because apparently him flooring it in the original wasn't enough for you dumb fucks to believe he wanted to race 😭 The full video shows him flying past me, turning his head to look directly at me, and waving me up next to him with his left hand. I literally watched him do it.

Excuses heard so far:

"He wasn't actually racing"

"He wasn't in his powerband"

"He realized it wasn't the time or place"

"He would've caught me eventually"

"Any 600 would smoke you"

"Pick on somebody your own size"

And my personal favorite so far:

"He was with a group and probably didn't want to look like a squid in front of his homies, get them all revved up only to stop at the light. Especially if he's in front."

So apparently flying past me, looking directly at me, waving me up next to him, and then flooring it doesn't count as wanting to race anymore 💀

He came looking for the race. I didn't pick on anybody.

Need server testers

Hearth is a 1.21.1 NeoForge survival server built around player choice and consequences.

It’s mainly PvE, with PvP enabled, and claims are available to protect your land and builds. There isn’t meant to be a huge list of forced rules for how everyone has to play. The players shape the society themselves.

People can make alliances, create their own rules, outlaw other players, start conflicts, hunt people down, or try to keep the peace. Your reputation and choices are supposed to matter, and death has actual consequences, so fighting isn’t completely meaningless.

The world itself is also more dangerous and immersive, with smarter hostile mobs, MCA villagers, survival mechanics, more wildlife, better terrain, and a darker atmosphere.

Basically, it’s a survival/RPG server where the world gives you the tools, but the players decide what kind of society it becomes.

pls message me if youre interested, its a curseforge server, havent launched it public yet

Looking for an old 1984 corvette

So we gave away an old 1984 corvette to a refugee charity thing. Turns out. It wasnt given away to someone in need. The dealership tried to sell it. About 4 weeks later, after they had it sitting in the snow and listed on facebook marketplace. Someone came to buy it, and I guess it broke down on him. We dont know what caused it to break down, as it didnt break down for us but whatever.

The guy called us frantically and begged us to buy it back and cover the towing and such. We said no, it was supposed to be given to someone in need. They were selling it at a dealership lot.

It was in Ohio, Cincinnati, the vin is 1G1AY0785E5113941. We just want to know what happened to it

What should the oil level look like in a zl1?

So my 2019 ZL1 is on flex fuel. Did an oil change about 3k miles ago. I used 10 qts 0W-40. My brother who just started as an oil changer like 2 weeks is tripping balls because he insists I need to add oil right now and that my car has no oil, and the oil is burnt... right.

Need help building a village

I’m working on a custom Minecraft modpack called Hearth, and I’ve hit the point where the village building side of it is wearing me out.

If anyone genuinely enjoys building and wants to give it a shot, I’d be happy to send over the modpack and the save file.

The current theme is mostly dark wood, stone brick, and cobblestone. The villages only generate in plains biomes, they’re intentionally rare, and when they do spawn I want them to feel huge, more like an actual settlement than a small vanilla village.

You can work off what I already have, change things, or completely remake the village if you want. I’m not attached to my current builds and I’d rather give someone creative freedom than force myself through building when I’m already getting burnt out.

The village is built around MCA, so the main thing is that the buildings need to actually work for villagers and feel usable, not just decorative. Please avoid anything villagers can’t realistically pathfind or use, like ladders leading to bedrooms or important rooms.

The modpack is also meant to have fairly dark lighting overall, so the buildings will need a good amount of natural light and intentional manmade lighting so they still feel usable without ruining the darker atmosphere.

I can handle all the technical stuff afterward like structure blocks, jigsaws, commands, generation, and modpack integration. If you enjoy doing that part too, you can, but it’s completely optional.

At this point I mostly just need someone to say “I’ll give it a shot” and I’ll send everything over 😭

Current house owners son may be partying in the house we are about to buy

So me and my partner were offered a neighbors house, private sale. The owners are 2 very nice folk. They built the house a few years ago for their son and his fiance.

The marriage didnt go through, and one of the 2 did some damage to the house already, a lot of broken doors and damaged cabinets. But the house was cheap and was very well built despite these cosmetic issues.

Issue is, hes been coming back to the house with friends and partying, drinking, smoking, etc etc. Im worried the house may not be in the best condition when we finalize.

Now I could just be misreading it, maybe hes moving stuff out, I havent been there due to work and just believing my mother. So she may be exaggerating it?

I know the past few days theyve been clearing it out and getting it ready for us, so thats not a concern there

Need help finding a fantasy christian book

I'm trying to identify a Christian YA fantasy series that I accidentally started with the last book when I was in middle school, so I only remember the ending. I think it was a trilogy set on Earth (or mostly on Earth) and featured humanoid vampires, though some were good and some were evil. The main group was about four people. One of the female characters was pregnant and had a boyfriend or husband who was part of the group. Near the end, she was bleeding to death, so one of her friends turned her into a vampire to keep her alive long enough to complete an important task or ritual. Afterward, she was healed and restored. I also remember three pillars of light, red, green, and blue, that eventually merged into white, a white lion cub that was healed, and the characters meeting God or entering His presence. The final book had a deep red cover with a black raven or crow perched on something like a branch or possibly a skull. Does this sound familiar to anyone?

Where do I get a new VCIM?

So my 2019 ZL1 has no VCIM, none. It was removed. I was not told this when I bought it from the dealership. I took it to my local chevy dealership and they said they cant replace it unless they have the original parts VCIM. What do I do?

Leadership Disciplinary question

Here is a military leadership question, this happened in the past

Lets say, your going to relieve a post. Whoever the highest rank is, is in charge of inspecting and clearing the weapons

On shift, there are 2 NCOs, 1 going on shift, 1 coming off shift. They handled the firearms. They proceed to give the firearms to the lower enlisted.

The lower enlisted nor the other nco did not make sure the weapon was clear

They go through the whole shift, the junior enlisted pistol actually had a round in the chamber from the previous shift

Previous shift had a scare, and had loaded a round, but they forgot and didnt actually check and secure the weapons and ammunition before signing over

What disciplinary action should have taken place?

What had taken place was the junior enlisted was given a counciling and a smoking session + fire arm training for this, and the ncos received no penalties

The smoking session was also done during that soldiers sleeping hours (long term night shifts) and was done specifically in a civilian area with multiple ncos watching

As a junior enlisted at the time, I thought that didnt make sense. But as an NCO now, I still dont understand why, and want to be fair to my soldiers. Is this actually the logical approach?
