Used Mazda CX-5 reliability ?

Hi everyone,
I’ve been looking at used Mazda CX-5s, and I think they offer excellent value for the money. My budget is around $15,000, and I’ve found a few interesting options. I really like the design, and they seem comfortable as well.
My only concern is reliability. Based on your experience, is the Mazda CX-5 mechanically reliable? Is it still a good buy if I get one with around 100,000 km, assuming it has been well maintained?
Thanks in advance for your advice!

Am I overreacting about neighbor bass noise during the day?

I already spoke to my neighbor about it, and he actually came up to my apartment and heard the noise himself. He agreed that it is noticeable and said he would try to reduce it, but the issue still keeps coming back. I honestly expected it to stop after that since he seemed understanding, but it hasn’t. He is generally very polite and active, but the problem remains. Even the neighbor in front of me mentioned that they sometimes hear noise from his unit, and the neighbor below me also hears it occasionally, while I still experience it in my apartment. It’s not constant every day, but about 3 times per week I can feel vibrations coming through the walls or floor, usually during the day, and it can last around 3–4 hours in total. It’s not really loud music that I can clearly hear, more like bass vibrations. The positive point is that after 11 PM he always stops, so nights are quiet. At this point I’m wondering if I should stop trying to deal with it directly with him and instead go through the landlord or property management, because I don’t want to keep bringing it up repeatedly and I’m trying to avoid any kind of conflict or harassment feeling. I’m also wondering if this is something I should just tolerate as normal apartment living or if it’s actually not acceptable and I’m overreacting.

Toyota RAV4 vs Toyota C-HR: Reliability?

Mechanically speaking, between the Toyota RAV4 and the Toyota C-HR, which one would you recommend in terms of long-term reliability? I’d appreciate hearing from people who have owned or worked on either one. Thanks!

Is it normal to dislike nicknames and set strict boundaries about them?

I really dislike being called by nicknames, and I feel like it has affected me more than it should. I’m not talking about affectionate or respectful nicknames—I’m talking about nicknames that I find embarrassing, childish, or simply unpleasant.
Is it normal to ask my friends to stop calling me by those kinds of nicknames (for example, “Apple” or anything similar), especially when they come from random childhood habits or old jokes?
Is it reasonable to strongly defend this boundary and refuse those kinds of nicknames completely? Or should I just accept them as harmless and not let them affect my sense of freedom or self-confidence, since we only live once?
I’m trying to understand whether setting this boundary is reasonable or if I’m overthinking it.

Noise from neighbor in old apartment building — what should I do?

I live in an apartment building that was built around 1965, so I know the soundproofing isn’t great. My neighbor sometimes plays music with heavy bass, and the bass is what I hear the most.
I’ve talked to him several times. He seems understanding, and I can tell he tries to keep it down, especially in the evenings. During the day, though, I still hear the bass sometimes. Even when he’s just walking around, he seems much more active than my previous neighbors, so I notice a lot more noise in general.
The thing is, I’m very sensitive to noise, and I don’t want to make his life difficult or expect complete silence in an older building.
At this point, I’m wondering if this is just something I have to accept, or if it’s reasonable to expect less bass noise. What would you do in this situation?

Mercedes GLC reliability around 100,000 km

Hi,
I found a Mercedes GLC at a very reasonable price. Is this model reliable if I buy it used with around 100,000 km?
Are there any model years that are better than others, or any years I should avoid? What are the main mechanical issues I should watch out for?
Thanks for your feedback!

RAV4 2019 vs Lexus reliability question

Hey, I’m looking for some advice on a 2019 Toyota RAV4 LE with around 80,000 km.
From a mechanical point of view, is it still reliable at this mileage? Any known issues with the engine or transmission on this generation?
Also, how does it compare to Lexus SUVs in terms of reliability? I know they share some platforms, but is Lexus actually more reliable or just more comfortable/luxury?
Thanks for your help!

Volkswagen Tiguan 2019 – avis fiabilité mécanique ?

Bonjour,

Best reliable luxury car under $20k - 25k and 100,000 km in Canada?

I really like Mercedes models in Canada, but I’m looking for the most reliable luxury car around a $20k - 25 k budget. I don’t want to be at the mechanic all the time. I’ll also be aiming for a model with less than 100,000 km. What would you recommend?
