Zayd & Zainab (Surah Al Ahzab 33:37) Muhammad desired Zainab, the wife of his adopted son Zayd, Adoption was a massive cultural taboo at the time preventing him from marrying her, conveniently, a verse was revealed dissolving the concept of legal adoption in Islam, scolding Muhammad for trying to hide his feelings and commanding him to marry her.

2. the bnoxious house guests (Surah Al Ahzab 33:53) people were staying too long at Muhammad’s house after dinner, making him uncomfortable and istead of him just asking them to leave, a divine verse was revealed telling guests not to linger after eating because it annoys the Prophet, but he is too shy to tell them.

yet the majority of them have no idea what the words actually mean, ​this is a highly effective survival mechanism for the religion, from early childhood children in these countries are sent to madrasas or Qur'an classes where they are trained to phonetically pronounce Arabic script, they are taught that simply reciting the sounds beautifully or memorizing the sequence of noises brings massive spiritual rewards

​now think about the psychological brilliance of this setup tho ​by keeping the text in an untranslated, mysterious, ancient language it elevates the book to a magical object, literally it is treated like an amulet to be kissed, placed on the highest shelf

because LITERALLY Islam claims Prophet Muhammad (saw) was not jus a regular man of his time, it claims he was the final perfect moral example for all of humanity for ALL times, guided directly by an all powerful all merciful God so if a system is divine, it is supposed to change the cruel norms of the world, not participate in them.

it just saddens me alot, every scholar tried to justify it and it jus weakened my imaan (faith) (i also contacted a hadith student who's a preacher, runs a community and speaks well arabic and english)

1. the mental torture of hell, imagine going to hell for eternity, burning and being given ur body back so it burns again, being made to drink boiling water jus because u didn't believe in God, someone u can't see, all the Prophets came thousands of years ago, all before u, no objective evidence of all their miracles.

2. ur not allowed to question, any logical doubt u have gets told "shaitan misguided u" so now u question urself that if its u trying to break free mentally by questioning stuff people just believe or if its actually the devil (u get punished for both)

3. after years of blind belief if u even leave islam, u still have the Qur'an in ur head, a part of u wants to go back but a part of u don't, constant fear of death, burning for eternity, it's blind belief but also u deep down have doubts on the Qur'an and hadith, which u will get burned for eternity if u don't believe

4. why are there so many other religions? and why is Christianity bigger than Islam? if Islam is true then why so many interpretations? so many other convincing religions, why so many accusations on Islam and the Prophet... how is one supposed to read all this and just believe it??

it hurts my brain, i'm not even 25 but i'm suppose to comprehend thousands of years of theology and pick the right religion or i burn for eternity

2. The Splitting of the Moon

​Surah Al Qamar (54:1) says"the hour has come near and the moon has split." hadiths claim that the moon split into two halves over Makkah but again there is absolutely zero global historical record of this happening. massive highly advanced civilizations alive at the time, the romans, the persians and the chinese were obsessed with tracking the night sky and documenting celestial anomalies, not a single culture on earth noticed the moon breaking in half (apologists often share fake rumors about NASA finding a crack line but NASA has explicitly debunked this)

3. Adam Being 90 Feet Tall

​sahih al bukhari (6227) states that God created Adam standing 60 cubits tall (roughly 90 feet / 30 meters tall) and that human height has been steadily shrinking ever since but the fossil record utterly obliterates this claim as anthropologists and paleontologists have excavated thousands of ancient human and hominid skeletons dating back hundreds of thousands of years, humans were never 90 feet tall in fact ancient humans were generally shorter or comparable in size to modern humans so a 90 foot human would collapse under the weight of gravity due to the square cube law of physics

4. Gog and Magog (Yajuj and Majuj)

​according to the Qur'an (Surah Al Kahf) a ancient king named Dhul Qarnayn trapped a massive hyper aggressive civilization of billions of humans behind a giant wall made of iron and molten copper and the hadiths state they are still trapped there today, frantically licking the wall every day and will burst out at the end of times to drink the entire sea of galilee dry but as of 2026, we have 100% complete satellite mapping of the earth via GPS and radar. there is no hidden wall, no massive underground civilization of billions of people and no geographical mystery left on the globe where a population of that size could hide.

5. Noah’s Ark and the Global Flood

​the text requires belief in a massive deluge where a single man gathered pairs of every animal species on a wooden ark to survive a catastrophic flood, modern geology, archaeology and zoology have proven that a global flood never occurred. there is no genetic bottleneck in animal DNA pointing to a single ark 4,000 years ago nor is there any geological evidence of the entire planet being submerged at once

He said: "It does not matter if you do not do it, for every soul that Allah has decreed to exist until the Day of Resurrection will come into existence."

i watched alot of lectures to see how they answer or refute this, they couldn't, i asked alot of my friends and they couldn't explain either. then i got into contact with a someone who has certifications on hadith and he tried to justify it by saying "no they took those women because their men were killed and they needed food/shelter etc" nowhere in the hadith it says that, it shows desire and sahaba being away from their wives, the captive women were not married to the sahaba, the women had lost their loved ones and the same men who killed their sons, husbands and fathers will take those women (the women basically have no choice) and they get to have sex.. the hadith scholar said they get to sleep with women as reward for taking care of them, HOW IS THAT CONSENSUAL THO???

if i put myself in that position, i can't imagine that i die in a war and they take my wife/daughters and my very own killers sleep with them, i felt very disturbed and disgusted by this, and the hadith scholar's wordings were basically "jus accept it bro" and no i cannot blindly accept this

my mind asks, if God is real then why is life so short? its barely 70 to 80 years and even within that we spend a large portion of it jus trying to mature and understand the world? a significant amount of time is also spent studying things that happened thousands of years ago with so many religious figures, teachings and interpretations to make sense of. in such a short and limited lifetime how are we expected to determine and follow the correct religion?
