How to actually find Spotify Playlist Curators?

Ever since I started making music, people have told me that the best way to gain visibility is by getting your songs added to Spotify playlists. But how do you actually find and approach playlist curators?

How to come up with my own style?

So I’ve been practicing my drawing skills for a while now, and two days ago I realized that I actually don’t want to make super realistic art, but rather draw and paint comic-style girls. I already have a concept in mind, but then I also realized that so far I’ve been relying on other people’s work. Mostly from Pinterest and some comic books I ordered to study.
Of course, I don’t want to copy them. I want to create my own stuff. But how do I get there?

I worked on making my shop better - Can you give me feedback, please?

Hey guys 🧚🏾‍♀️
For the last couple of days I have been working on making my shop better. I removed some products, changed mock-ups and rewrote some description texts (I‘m not done yet though). Now I would like to know if I‘m on a good road or need to do even better. Can you give me feedback, please? 🫶🏾

Personalized Written Love Reading 🩷 (Three free slots)

Hey🧚🏾‍♀️

I‘m an experienced tarot reader who used to work in the mental health field and was trained to guide people through different phases of their lives.

My love tarot reading is meant to offer you advice and support for the situation you and your crush, lover, or partner are currently in.

My work is based on the belief that everything in the universe is interconnected and that the universe itself speaks to us and takes care of us, like a loving mother.

My role is to connect with this bond through the cards, to listen, to translate, and to share the message I receive with you.

After being accepted, please send me a short message about your situation.
Tell me a little about yourself and the person you’re asking about. About your connection, how things between you feel, and where you currently stand.
You don’t need to go into great detail; simply write as much as feels right and honest to you.

Once I’ve received your message, I’ll draw your cards and create your personal written love reading within two days. You’ll then receive it.

If you can‘t get a free a slot, I‘ll charge 5 Dollars/Euros and it includes a follow-up-conversation, where you can ask further questions, too.

Looking forward to hearing from you 🫶🏾

Am I wrong or are women expected to sound clearer?

Am I wrong for feeling like it’s more accepted when male vocals aren’t loud and clearly audible, compared to when female vocals in a song aren’t sound loud and clear?

I’m an artist who blends pop with almbience and have this concept called “Mermaid Pop”. The idea is that it should sound like I’m singing underwater.

One of the main criticisms I get is that I should make my voice clearer, louder, and more upfront. And honestly, I’ve taken that criticism seriously for a long time and tried to implement it in my upcoming project as best as I can.

But I always get irritated when I’m on Spotify and hear songs where the female vocals are even more buried in the mix than mine and those songs get massive attention and streams (not saying that I “deserve“ this too, I‘m only a beginner, but doesn’t it show that it isn’t that unusual?)

So I keep wondering:
is that really the issue?
Or does it just bother people more when women choose not to put their voice completely front and center?

People often tell me:
“But you can actually sing, so why hide your voice?” Especially since my live performances.

But that’s not the point.

The whole concept of Mermaid Pop is atmosphere.
Texture.
Distance.
Emotion.
Like hearing a song underwater, from another world.

I‘m an unknown singer and finally getting a professional music video!

After years of working with free-to-use clips or filming at home, I’m finally about to get my very first professional music video. Being filmed by such a talented photographer was a deeply healing experience. I felt truly seen, and like my art was finally being appreciated. I’m really looking forward to seeing the final result!

What’s wrong with my production?

Hey, so I make Mermaid Pop. My music is supposed to sound like I‘m kind of singing underwater, along with whales. And I was criticized for my production, which I accept. But I would like to know - Is it because I failed with achieving the vibe or do they just don’t understand it, because my music is different? Please, be honest. Here‘s the song that was criticized: https://open.spotify.com/track/67ZYJqzrY3tC6j1sImTLMp?si=I3byIjYpTQ-hdyPPCvhNZg
