Would it be better to find a y or just turn it back into a single ?

I’ve got a 93 bronco I’ve been doing work to. I’ve been learning at I’m going but I’m at the exhaust. At some point it looks like someone had turned a single into a duel setup by cutting the pipe a foot or 2 before the muffler and just welded a y and turned it into a duel. I can’t find any y pipes anywhere near me in stock and I don’t wanna order online incase for some reason it doesn’t fit. Would it be better to just cut the y off and turn it back into a single ? My new exhaust is a is a single

Average cost? What would be too much to buy one

I’ve wanted one since I was a kid idek how I discovered this breed back then but I’ve always wanted one. I’ve seen average prices from 1800-3000+. What should I expect realistically getting one? I don’t need a showdog but I also don’t wanna go so cheap it’s mixed with like 90 different breeds

John deer riding lawnmowers. How do I decide which one to get there’s like 100 of them.

I moved onto my wife’s family farm right now we’ve just got like an acre of fairly flat land to mow. The backyard has a slight incline tho but not bad. Within the next 5-10 years we’ll probably end up with a bigger yard to take care of. Possibly 3-4 acres of flat yard without any obstacles. I don’t wanna buy one now just to have to upgrade in a few years. I was looking at the s and x series I just don’t know. I don’t wanna pay zero turn money tho so that’s probably out of the question.

Food service sucks so I’m considering something even worse..owner op.

Why is it the owner operator topic is so controversial ? One crowd is saying it’s terrible meanwhile there’s others who are balling and say it’s great. I had a friend who got their cdl instantly bought a truck and makes roughly 8-10k a week. If they were actually responsible financially they’d probably be doing pretty great. Is poor finances the biggest downfall or is freight/fuel prices just that bad? I’ve been driving for only 5 months now I thought food service was going to be cool. It’s not too terribly hard but dollying stuff up and down a ramp all day can kick rocks. I’m 24 debt free, house paid for, no lot or any sort of land payment, cars paid off. Roughly 50k in the bank. I’d much rather attempt to invest in myself than to continue working for these soul sucking companies.

Riding lawnmowers. The age old question, should I get new or used?

I’ve only ever used craftsman push mowers and they’ve been fine until now. My old yard had a bunch of large trees giving me shade but I moved and now it’s nothing but open field with the only tree there being a dying apple tree it’s Partially flat and partially hilly. And push mowing is whooping my behind. I can find used ones for as cheap as 1500 on marketplace with newer ones being 6000+ from dealers. Usually when I buy things with engines I tend to lean more towards new since people will abuse tf out of lawnmowers. However the big price difference is putting me on the fence. Is buying new worth it? I’d like to just buy one lawnmower and be done for a long time

357/.38 Henry big boy wood furniture. Practical or not.

I’ve never had a lever action before but I was looking at one today. I kinda just collect firearms I don’t shoot often but I atleast try to give it a justification when buying home defense, hunting, shooting government drones out of the sky, etc… so far the only justification I’ve got is it looks sweet. How practical would it be ? It’s either gonna be this or a FN scar in 6.5 creedmoor

I now hate going into work it almost makes me sick.

I got my cdl probably 5 months ago now. I went from an OTR no touch position to a semi local food delivery. While some days are cool and just pallet drops and I’m done in 8 hours there’s other days where I’m stressing to the max trying to get done so I don’t have to use my 16 hour day since I try to save that for Friday. The turnover for my route specifically for some reason has apparently had 22 drivers quit in 6 months. Which I don’t even know how that’s possible. I’m also definitely getting screwed by getting paid a criminally low wage which I’d assume is why they’ve had 22 drivers quit. They offered to get me my doubles tho. Is there any OTR jobs where doubles would help? Waking up at 2:45 every day then driving 45 mins to the yard only to work 14+ hours then drive 45 mins back home has been killing me and I definitely can’t keep doing it

Keep my savings or invest in rentals

To give the whole picture I’m 24 I bought a single wide to live in for 10k. It’s old but it’s pretty nice and will be good enough for a long while. No rent, no lot payments as it’s on family property. Absolutely 0 debt. Besides just saving I’m kinda ignorant on better ways to have your money work for you. I had a real good savings but between life happening and me having to dip into it quite a bit I’m left with about 50k in the savings. I hope to have it to atleast 60k by February. Anyway. I live in a college town where rent is crazy but you can find properties near the college for about 150-170 ready to move in. I could easily get 1300 a month. However the flip side to that is the savings was going to be my house fund for when we outgrow the trailer and want to upgrade. I guess what I’m trying to ask here is should I keep my savings for my own house when it comes time to upgrade or would rentals help me grow my finances.

New cat just hides

We had a kitten we tried rescuing but it sadly had parasites. We took it to the vet they gave her meds and she was acting normal, playful and just loving. but she still had worms a few weeks later and when we took her back the same vets office the newer vet saw her and overdosed her and the kitten ended up passing away a few hours later. I wasn’t much of a cat guy but I missed having something that just sat in my lap and slept so we ended up getting another kitten to fill the void. While this new one is healthy and also a rescued barn cat, we’ve realized he’s nothing like the old one. The old one would follow you around, climb the chair to get in your lap, just sit there and purr and just acted real curious about everything and was lovey since day 1, almost like she was grateful in a sense. This new one just wants to hide all the time and when it’s not hiding it’s sleeping in the cage which that part is whatever. I know I need to give the guy some time to adjust but this newer cat is the complete opposite of what I liked about cats. We’ve had it for about a week and a half now. Any advice? I’m starting to feel like I should’ve just left the void empty

Tax stamp help

So I’ve got an sp5k I’d love to throw a stock on. But I’m not sure how I want to proceed. I bought it and it’s just been sitting all pristine like in the safe mocking me because it doesn’t have a stock or a brace so I don’t think I’d get much enjoyment from shooting it. I’d love to go through and get the paperwork complete so I can put the stock on but I’m definitely not gonna have some schmuck engrave it (which is a stupid rule) I’ve heard the braces suck which is why I haven’t bought one of those so do I have any options here ? Or do I just have to wait until they hopefully remove the engraving thing. Or is there any products out there that are good enough that don’t require a tax stamp. I’m usually a shotgun and AR platform kinda person so nothing I’ve owned before required all these hoops so excuse my ignorance on the topic. It’ll stay on my property where I can shoot it so it’s not like im gonna be going traveling with it.

Cheap guns vs expensive what’s your go to?

Im 24 and so far my collection is:
Benelli m4 h20 version
HK sp5k the euro import version which sucks
P365x macro
A random 22 revolver I was gifted when I was like 6
Colt 1911
Daniel defense ddm4v7 pro
When I’ve purchased all of these there was always another brand right next to them that does the exact same thing for 1/2 the price sometimes even cheaper than that. When I got the HK they had a mpx and scorpian right next to it both of those all decked out with a bunch of bells and whistles for 1/2 the price of my sp5k. I’m beginning to question if the higher priced firearms are actually worth it.

What should I do with my old 401k for a company that no longer exists ?

The company no longer exists because it got sold so the plan is being terminated. It’s a 401k through Lincoln. I’m 24 and have no clue what to do with it. I had somewhere between 40-50k in that 401k and they sent an email saying it’s being terminated. If no response is given they’ll convert it into a Lincoln select solution IRA. Should I just let them convert it ?

U-Haul auto transport tire straps

My tires are 31s and U-Haul says their provided tire straps only fit up to 30. I used their dolly years ago and that fit 31s I had on another vehicle. Anyone recently rent an auto trailer ? I don’t wanna buy straps if I don’t need them but I also don’t wanna get down there and be SOL because the provided straps don’t fit

Are rabbits worth it ?

I moved to my wife’s family farm. They’ve got chickens for eggs probably a few hundred cows and occasional pigs. I’ve got enough beef products at home I could feed a small country. With that being said everyone seems to have something they get to raise. I’ve never gotten to raise anything but my grandpa was really big into rabbits I remember him having a big hutch. they seemed like a rather hands off kind of animal compared to most others for meat. Would rabbits be worth it since I’ve already got a lot of other meat animals? She said it would be pointless because of what I just said. Grocery prices are getting to the point I shed a tear every time at checkout so I’d just like more options for things I can raise/grow at home

Snapping turtle

Went fishing and caught a snapper. It’s the first thing I’ve ever killed with a gun. Little guy met a .380 point blank. Idk how to say it without sounding weird but for lack of a better way to put it..It was kinda weird to watch the light switch turn off once the bullet hit. I really only killed it because the owner of the pond wants all the snappers killed if you catch one. I don’t care for the meat but I’d atleast like the shell. Anyone know how long it would take for all the meat to rot away so it’s just the shell ? I placed it on a semi sunny spot along the tree line

I sense a return

I’m 24 started when I was 18. Got let go last year and got my cdl and thought I’d never return. Now that these paychecks aren’t what they were when I was out in the field I can feel the urges flooding back. I always talked 💩and wondered how people could think about coming back. I get it now. Man I miss that money.

Commute car

My truck gets 20 mpg and I’m possibly going to get a job that’s 140 miles round trip. I’ve got a paid off truck with 40k miles. Would it make sense to get a commuter for 5-10k ? I need the truck for camping/ farm use so before anyone says sell the truck, a smaller truck would not work for my needs as my truck is just enough to handle what I put it through now. Gas in my area is about 4$ a gallon rn. I’ve done the math or tried too anyways, and I estimate I’d come out on top at the 4-5 year mark assuming the car makes it that long. I know you rarely come out on top with buying another car but I plan to keep the truck for 15+ years and doing this commute with it would bring that life down to about 5 years before I’d have to get rid of it assuming I did the 140 daily commute 5 days a week 52x a year I could do cash so I wouldn’t have to take out a loan or anything

Is this a good deal for someone with under 3 months experience

I got an interview next week for a smaller food service company and she gave me some of the rundown today it’s a lot better than what I’m doing now but does this sound good for someone without much experience ?
200$ a day guaranteed right off the rip
16cpm on top of the 200 a day
Paid for every box you take off the truck
Paid extra for being early
11 hour days
M-F
She was estimating an average was 2600 gross every 2 weeks

Other jobs that having a cdl helps for but it isn’t the only thing you do?

I’m 24 and got my cdl. I’ve obviously got a long ways to go before my working career days are over and with the self driving trucks I’m just living in reality by acknowledging the fact drivers will either not exist or if they do exist it’ll only be in the city or small/tight areas and at that point the pay will probably be crappier than it is now. What are other jobs that I could get into where having a cdl is a big plus.. even if the self driving trucks thing wasn’t happening I don’t wanna only have 1 skill(driving) and if something were to happen I’d be on my arse.

Do not join savage pvp(I hope this is allowed)

Ladies and gents. Do not waste time on savage PvP. As you can see here this is one of the admins and over the last several days a tribe has been attempting to raid our base. This tribe also happens to be one of the bigger donators on the server. Tribe limit is 10 and they’ve been rotating out with about 15 people over the last 4 days while raiding ( which they still aren’t finished with it yet) but as you can see when I mentioned what the consequence was he immediately said ban.. but when I mentioned that it was the donating tribe doing it the tone changed a bit. When called out on it being sus another admin chimed in and got snippy. It’s crazy how it went from it being a ban to it’s not in the rules so I can’t enforce it once they found out which tribe it was. It’s pretty common knowledge rotating members in almost any ark server isn’t allowed. As I said don’t waste your time
