What's your favourite acting choice?

Edt 2: I asked about actING choices not actOR choices

Mine is Robert Carlyle's unhinged, nasal giggle for Rumplestiltskin.
ETA meant to say Rumplestiltskin as the Dark One. I don't think he laughs at all when he's not in that gold-skinned getgo

It cracks me up every time, lol

When I was 16, my left knee got dislocated. This was 18 years ago, almost to the date.

For a few years, back then, the knee would be unpredictable: it would give up on me or swell randomly, so when I was 20, they took a look inside to check if there's some soft tissue problem they could fix. There wasn't, but they could verify that it had, indeed, been dislocated, just slightly atypically. Hence the slightly atypical symptoms.

I got physical therapy, and the knee stopped being a bitch.

But, now there's what I assume is inflammatory pain on it. Well, not really pain-pain, but the knee feels strange. A bit warm in the inside, but not warm to touch on the outside. And it feels a bit tingly, but again, in the inside only.

It's not swollen or similarly unpredictable as it was back then.

But it's just on my left knee, the right one feels normal.

I haven't done anything out of the ordinary, and I'm always careful with it making sure I've got good form walking or squatting, etc.

It feels steady to walk on, so I'll continue on with my day as I planned, but I'm filing this under the "symptoms?" label for when I see a doctor

24 days ago, I made a post asking how long it might take for the buds to bloom. Now I have my answer! 🥰🥰

Fresh off the machine, I've had this silly idea for a while.

I have a rack at the end of my bed to shade my pillow. Ever since I got it, I've been wanting to make a hammock for my elderly cat to nap on. Now I finally did it!

The outer fabric is quite sturdy linen, the inside lining is wool leftover from a throw blanket. His Tailness loves the blanket, so I felt confident in using the fabric here.

For construction, I measured the distances between the poles in the rack, measured rectangular pieces from the fabrics, lining slightly smaller, and long bits for the straps. Ironed the blue fabric pieces as best I could (I didn't iron the wool), and then I just pinned everything together and sewed away.

And guess what! The Suppreme Leader loves his new nap spot! There's a direct line of sight into the kitchenette to keep an eye on what I'm doing in there, he can see out the windows, and the afternoon Sun shines right onto the spot, so it's nice and sunny for him to rest his old bones. He's turning 11 in July.

Oh, and the trash box solution, from my post the other day, worked like a charm! All thread bits were contained easily.

This is my new, very DIY system, lol.

Sorry if this falls too far off topic, but it is specifically to handle sewing related messes.

I might make it prettier in the future, but right now this prototype will do for testing.

I have ADHD, so keeping neat is difficult. Any solution to help with the ever expanding mess is a good one, and this should keep the little bits of scrap thread from spreading everywhere because I can just shove them into the box. And the box isn't likely to be absent-mindedly misplaced, yay.

A cat food box, visible holes taped over, taped directly to the sewing table. Where do I file for a patent for this invention? 😂😂

Dr. Kelson was a much needed source of kindness in *28 Years Later*, but he shines in *28 Years Later: The Bone Temple*!

Never before have I understood a character that goes full "I can fix him", but his background as an MD before the rage virus was released and the kindness Ralph Fiennes can portray by just softening his eyes, makes me believe that Dr. Kelson wants to help Samson.

He's clearly heartbreakingly lonely, he *wants* Samson to be his friend, even if it might cost him his head in the beginning.

In *28 Years Later* he was the only one to treat the infected as humans. Perhaps because he's always seen them as people who are ill, instead of an enemy.

I'm personally a strong believer in the arts being a core component of humanity. Dr. Kelson had kept the arts alive, and thus his humanity was fully alive still.

Spike's island community didn't have much of any art. The Jimmys had stories and dance, but no music.

But Dr. Kelson found a way to play his records (music), the Bone Temple is a piece of visual arts on its own (sculpting, architecture), and he very clearly had big Theatre Kid Energy with his Iron Maiden performance.

It's a shame he died, but I'm looking forward to finding out how Samson's character progresses and how Kelson's actions and death will affect him, as well as Spike and ~~Jimmy Ink~~ Kellie, now with Cillian Murphy's Jim and his daughter.
