23F, i love who i am, but my date is quite literally an over achiever and jack of all trades. doesn’t ruin my confidence as a person but makes me question because he’s way out of my league.

i 23F recently went on couple dates with, 27M.
We had fun, the talks were great, and he’s amazing, humble, doesn’t boast about his achievements that i already know from his linkedin.
I am still a student, just graduated, taking a drop year to prepare for exams.
It makes me question why would such a successful, independent man, would even want to be with someone like me. I don’t get inferiority complex, he and i are on different paths, but i know for sure i am never going to be as hard working as he is or as passionate.

What if he presumes me to be who i am not, what if down the lane he realises i am not worth it, should i distance myself before this develops into anything serious?

TL;DR: 23F, dating a 27M who’s successful and humble. He seems genuinely into me, but I keep questioning why, since he’s more accomplished and I’m still figuring my life out (drop year, prepping for exams). Should I pull back before it gets serious, in case he later decides I’m not enough?

rented ac caught fire- can i get compensation?

The servicing for ac was done twice in 6 months and was not due to overuse, the temperature was 25, and had been started just 20 minutes before, we don’t use that ac often either.
the walls are all black now, the company said they’ll replace the ac but the cost of painting the walls, the burnt curtains etc would be alot.

i am not sure what to do next? do we ask them to cover paint cost? what exactly, please help

Not a local- Protest for Manipur in delhi- what really should be the demands

I haven’t seen much media coverage nor social media awareness on what’s really happening in manipur.

When the clashes did set, it is now 3 years from then.

Is the situation now normal or normalised?

If it’s bad, why are we not seeing more of it from locals? No outrage for the govt, but only for the communities.

I do want to go to the protest because i want to raise your voice.

But want i am trying to understand is, have people accepted this as their fate?

What is the solution and what even are the demands to be resolved? there’s no clarity on that.

Edit 1: this is exactly what i mean, 2 hours, over 600 views and not one person to comment, or voice on their concerns. If the ones who are suffering don’t speak up, how would the others hear?
And that making me wonder, is manipur suffering?

how to build static/ conceptual clarity for IR, with no geopolitical understanding

IR; I can’t crack just by reading magazines. Magazines help with updates, but i have no basic geopolitical understanding, it all feels random and hard to retain.

Please suggest me how to first build static + conceptual IR.

Any book? magazine? course?

how does one choose to let go of well paying jobs with a decent life for serving people? is this struggle really because we are so selfless?

the system is rigged, we all know it, and somedays i wonder if there’s any scope for this country to ever grow, really.
The preparation journey is brutal as it is, the competition fierce, and with the calibre we have, we could’ve scored a private job; earned decent money, have had a social life, probably made trips, enjoyed a can of beer on the weekend and done a spontaneous trip while having a job and going on with life and wants.

Why does one even put serving people above their own life? those for corrupt reasons, keeping them aside, those honestly doing it because they want to make society a better place, do you not ever think that this profession wouldn’t give you time to breathe, it’s brutal, it’s not the way it’s romanticised, you’ll barely get any day off, no time for your hobbies, one wrong move you’ll be cursed, one under the table caught and you are on the news with all that prestige brought down. No weekends, no spontaneous trips, and no assurance that you’d even be able to change lives.
And the struggle to grind for years in absolute darkness and isolation to get a life like that. Why.

i don’t remember what mindset of selflessness i had when i started. is it worth losing yourself for all your life? am i that workaholic or am i just training myself to be.

Brands to buy jeans from ?

Hi, I am 28F.
I want to buy some straight fit or relaxed fit or loose fit jeans.

Can some one please recommend some brands from which i can look for great jeans ?

Kraus and h&m fade out very quickly in my experience. Levi’s doesn’t get me a proper fit.

I am looking for 100% cotton but can’t find any.

Bluer claims to be 100% cotton but came across bad reviews.

Budget is not an issue, I just want them to be highly durable.

Thanks.

Leaving July end- Leh to Delhi flight or Leh- Srinagar(bus)- Delhi (flight)- or Leh- Delhi(bus). Which is safest without burning pocket

Since indigo return flights are crazy prices, would going to Srinagar and taking a flight from there be safer?
Or the routes are prone to landslides in July end and I should strictly avoid?

Confused and scared if I should come solo, or take a group package

Well it’s only natural to feel scared. I see reels of black ice, snowing, someone dying because of the altitude. But they are all the extremes ofcourse.

I am confused if I should come completely solo and explore by myself, and have flexibility.

Or take a group package and just lay down and travel.

I want the freedom but I don’t want the stress either. Please advice. 22F

Are there local taxi drivers who show you places for a week? And how much do they charge?

I was hoping to have flexibility with my plan, so avoiding a tour operator, and it feels like they overcharge way too much.

But places like Panamik, Nubra valley won’t be accessible by public transport so am wondering if there are local cabs/ tempos that provide week long services, instead of coming back to Leh city everytime.

This is my first time, and first solo trip. I am F, so I don’t want to compromise on safety. Any guidance would be helpful.
Thank you

Why are Delhi- Kerala flights so skyrocketed, even when booking in advance

There’s no direct flight below 10k even if I look into August right now! It used to be 3500-7000, 2 years ago : )

22F, Planning budget solo trip in August, but I don’t have a driving license, would traveling around be doable with public transport?

I am planning a trip in August for around 10 days.
Budget around 40-50k, leaving from Delhi.

The plan is to go to Wayanad/Vagamon, Kochi, Munnar, Suryanelli, Allepey, Varkala.

Since I can’t drive, I was hoping to take public transport or buses everywhere, but not sure if that’s a good idea and if they are well connected.

Any advice would be helpful, thank you.
