Is it rude to request a product be carried at your favorite dispensary?

My favorite dispensary doesn’t carry my favorte product, so i never get to go there anymore. From an owners perspective, would it be weird for me to request that they start carrying it?

What farms do you avoid with Farmer's Friend?

I've found that Farmer's Friend occasionally puts out a dud, or just really poor tasting cart. I'm pretty sure it's certain farms the work with. I tend to not like their collaborations with Old Gold, or 54 Green Acres, and my favorites are usually from Virgin or Herbal Dynamics. Which ones do you guys avoid, and what do you look out for?

For those who used to love their truck, it’s at 930 Olive st. Doesnt seem to have the business it deserves yet. One of their employees went super out of their way to make my saturday night, so thought I would give them a shout out.

**Do not copy me, I am not a doctor and cannot give medical advice. I just wanted to share my experience and at the end of the day, this is pretty much anecdotal bullshit**

So i’ve dealt with chs for going on four or five years now. First two years were horrible. I tried making continued use work in one way or another and would always end up with prodromal symptoms. I did a year where i smoked about once every 10 days, and was fine, but eventually caved and went back to everyday.

About 4 years ago I got on Amitriptyline 10mg for depression and insomnia. It’s a medication known to treat cyclical vomiting syndrome, CHS’s messed up sibling. It did absolutely nothing for my CHS, but did wonders for my mental health. Still was going through the cycles of quitting, using, prodromal, etc.

About 3 years ago I started developing really bad asthma after working in the industry for about a week. My manager didnt give me proper PPE, and now I have fucked up lungs for life probably. My doctor assumed i developed a severe allergy and prescribed an EpiPen. I get an intense asthmatic reaction to a lot of cannabis products now and get asthma when i exert myself.

Over time doctor upped my dose to 100mg on Amitriptyline, which is approximately the dosage recommended by GI doctors for treating CHS. Everything changed i haven’t had a proper prodromal episode in about 2 and a half years at this point. I go into more detail about it in this post.

I still have asthma, but i have not had a significant event since getting on 100mg.

So here’s the weirdest thing about all of this and where I want to hypothesize a little about what CHS is. Ive been exclusively using CO2 distillate carts for the past year because they trigger my asthma the least. Recently i tried getting into flower and rosin again, because I low-key hate carts. Every time i would try to hit flower live resin or rosin, i would feel sick. Like just enough to be uncomfortable. Ive tested this several times and almost every time i have the exact same reaction. No sick feeling with distillate whatsoever.

I have a feeling that CHS, or at least my version, is straight up a literal allergy and there is at least one study that backs this hypothesis. I get asthma when smoking, runny nose and sneezes when i smell bud sometimes and i get hives if i rub it on my skin.

The reason I think this is because I have the worst reaction to flower despite popular claims. It’s particularly obvious to me because my body immediately reacts. I still have asthmatic reactions to distillate, but not nearly as severe. Flower is naturally just going to bare the largest allergen load of any consumption method. A lot of the goodies that cause allergic reactions are still left over. Same for rosin and live resin. Distillate however is about as pure as cannabis gets. A lot of things like plant proteins have been stripped from the product. It's just incredibly easy to consume which is why i think people still get sick more often off of them.

To top this all off, the medication im on that is treating my symptoms is an *antihistamine* just like Benadryl, and im on a very high-dose. Benadryl is often recommended to help symptoms in recovery too.

While common allergy symptoms that people think about are face-swelling, anaphylaxis, runny nose, etc. gastro symptoms are still a part of allergies and especially food allergies. So hypothetically, CHS could just be a really strange allergic reaction.
