Taking a break from T, maybe?

I’ve been on T for around 9yrs. I’ve had the changes I wanted to have, I’m happy with my transition.

Lately (maybe the last few months) there have been aspects of my pre-T body that I miss. I miss, mainly, some of how my pre-T body distributed fat.

I’m thinking about taking a few months off T, seeing if my body changes and if I like it. Do yall think that would be okay?

I feel sort of ridiculous asking, but I’m worried (somehow) this will make me less of a man. Or it’ll mean I never really was trans to begin with, although I do firmly feel like I am a man. I’ve talked to my cis partner who says he just wants me to be happy with myself and would support me with whatever I do. I’ve also talked to my mtf friend who said I should do it if I want. I just feel nervous, I don’t know why.

Has anyone else felt like this? I know I’ve read in the past about folks going off T for a bit, but I can’t seem to find those posts. Any advice is appreciated.

Losing lower layer of leaves

Hiya
I repotted my pilea recently and her lowest layer of leaves are dropping off. I believe it was 12ish days ago.

The repot was rough honestly. The soil was very very hard and I ended up having to like soak it off so I could repot. I didn’t think I did damage to her roots in the process of repotting but now I’m like maybe I did and maybe I killed her.

Her new growth seems healthy, new leaves are continuing to come in. The babies in her pot are still growing. Her stem feels firm and woody.

I’m wondering if this is transplant shock? Or am I a killer? Any advice is appreciated.

I took this pic at night so it was pretty dark. She’s on 12hr grow lights from Barrina.

[TOMT] a missed connections poem from 10 years ago-ish

I know this is a real long shot but I’ve combed through all my old computers and I can’t find a screenshot I thought I had. I looked through my old tumblr accounts and no luck.

I saw the poem on tumblr, I think. It’s a styled to look like a missed connections forum, similar to Craigslist.

The only lines I remember are the narrator saying a tree caught fire (when the person walked past) and a Buick lasabre caught fire as well.

I remember it being so popular on tumblr, I saw it everywhere for weeks.

Spider plant babies

Will anything bad happen if I just leave the babies on the mother plant?

Maybe 6 months ago my plant started giving me babies. At first I was delighted. I thought surely this means she’s growing well, that I’ve done a good job raising her.

She won’t stop. I’m out of friends I can give them to. I’m considering calling my physical therapy office and seeing if they want any, I’m scraping the bottom of the barrel of socially acceptable people to offer plants to. It’s giving me anxiety. It feels almost like a curse.

She just put out another little baby stalk. Can she just keep them attached to her? Will it cause her harm?

Headphones for healing daith piercing

I’m completely sure this has been asked before, the search function has been sort of funky for me lately.

A few months ago I got my daith pierced.

I’ve always worn earbuds and I never minded just having one in. Lately my anxiety has been through the roof and I’d like to be able to block out noise haha.

Does anyone have over ear headphones that are comfy for you? Ideally ones that are Bluetooth compatible.

Thanks!

removing embedded butterfly backs

I can’t remember who shared this advice with me but it comes in handy so frequently so I thought I’d share!

I had a client come in today with a metal butterfly back stuck in their ear, the post/front was already removed so it was just the backing free floating in his lobe. The back of the channel was still open and the jewelry was visible.

I used the tip of an 18g taper to rotate the back in the lobe and then clicked the taper into the part of the butterfly back that clicks onto the post. Once the taper was really securely in the butterfly back I just turned it sideways and bam it slid right out of the channel. I used very little pressure. The client said they experienced minimal pain.

I wish I remembered who shared this technique with me because I owe them my entire life at this point, I’ve been doing this for years.

Shangri la pothos

Howdy

I got 2 cuttings from marketplace maybe a year ago, I was able to pot them maaaaybe 6 months ago. They took a very, very long time to put out roots but they’re happy in soil now.

I cut one of the vines to prop it the other day. I know from experience it takes a mondo long time for the props to root.

I’m wondering if there’s anything I can do to help the rooted portion put out any new growth? I just want her to feel pretty again.

I normally lowish dose fertilizer when I water, and she gets ~12 hrs under a grow light.

Thanks so much!

Passing trans ppl do damage to the trans community

Passing trans people are often trans medicalist and never advocate for the trans community. They do political damage (and psychic damage) to the trans community by just existing and I hate seeing them.

/uj this is a summary of a reel I saw on IG idk idk

Is this freak stuck? Should I operate?

Hi! I got this clump a bit ago (I haven’t been able to separate them unfortunately) and they’re all splitting! It’s my first time having them split and I’m a little worried this guy is stuck in his old leaves. What do you think? Should I try cutting the leaves at their seam to release him? He’s been like this for over a week now, with the leaves looking very papery.

Thanks so much!
