[Japanese > English] Need help translating a handcrafted cat shirt

I bought this at the annual Nyan Fest in Tokyo in April, I have used Google Translate but the answer varies from weird to nonsensical. When I use Google Translate the front of the shirt gives me “cat pressure” and the back gives “sleeping on butt” and “I don’t care about food”. I would love to hear what it actually means since the translators go quite literal.

Need help figuring out what stores have the Halloween throw blankets, specifically the cat in the Southeast

I saw these cat throw blankets on socials and they seem to have been put out this week, but 3 stores in my area don’t have them and they said they’re not showing in inventory so they probably never will in my area. It’s also not available online for shipping in my area or my parent’s who are halfway across the country. Any thoughts on if I’ll be able to snag these or were they only a west coast release? I have 6 more stores I can try this weekend in the wider metro. I know they’re selling out fast in the stores that had them across the country.

Question for those of you who buy from Rooms To Go - concerns about fabric

I had a brand new chair delivered today from Rooms To Go, when I touch the chair or move it around I get a gross residue feeling on my hands. Is this normal? The chair is brand new and when I run my hands over the fabric and handle it alot moving it around I feel a sticky/gritty residue, the closest thing I can compare it to is touching a dusty plastic tarp when you do construction, but there’s no grit or debris on my hands. It showed up wrapped in plastic and cardboard so it I know it was covered because I saw the guys unpack it in my house. Is this normal or is this something I should exchange for? I’m wondering if they did too much stain guard on it and then immediately wrapped it up. It's a gross feeling and I don’t want to sit in it.

"Xfinity" called me and says a signal impairment has been detected, and a technician needs to come out at no charge to me. Was this real or fake? If real can someone help me get it set up?

As title states, I just received a phone call from "Xfinity" claiming a signal impairment has been detected at my building and a technician needs to come both inside my home and outside. I hung up as I'm worried it was a scam, but just in case it was real, can comcast help me verify? I have been having internet drops recently, but that's been happening for years, and I've been trying to get Xfinity to fix it for years but they never do. If this was legit I do want to get the signal fixed. They also clarified it would be at no cost since they detected the issue on their end. Can someone please help me verify this was not a scam and proceed?

Can anyone in Atlanta area share how reliable/good/not good their kitchen & delivery is?

That’s it, I want to put my first order in but I read that CU can wildly vary depending on city and kitchen. Can any of y’all serviced by Atlanta speak to it and how reliable the deliveries are with temps?

Did anyone else have loud AC at the Hyatt Regency Chicago?

I’m very grateful to have a room with AC that works, but it is so freaking loud! No one mentioned this in any of their reviews when I did my research, but now that I’ve googled that specific thing tons of people are saying the exact thing that I’m experiencing, which is frustrating. How did y’all cope? I’m staying here for three nights and I’m a very light sleeper, but I also can’t use earplugs because I have events that I have to be at at 8:30 in the morning most days. Is there a chance I got a bad room?

Going on Amtrak, Do any small grocers or convenience stores exist that are similar to a Japanese 7/11 downtown?

I know that’s a niche and very specific question, I’m visiting the city and taking the train out at the end of my trip. The train food looks truly horrible on my route, so I’m hoping to load up on some good snacks, but I really have no idea where I could pick some up without going to the grocery and buying whole boxes of cliff bars and things like that. Most of my train travel has been overseas, I’m used to being able to go into small convenience stores selling high quality snacks for the journey. I know there’s US 7/11 and places like that, but I want something better if I can find it. Any feedback would be appreciated!

Has anyone else noticed a very nasty musty/moldy smell with their 3M Auras lately?

Bought a batch in March from Home Depot, they absolutely reeks with this horrible must/dust smell mixed with the smell of a mildewey room and even an odor like secondhand smoke. I used them anyway but they made me feel terrible. Just got another box from Home Depot yesterday, same issue with these masks, just much milder than the last bad batch. Is anyone else having this problem with 3M Aura?

Confused about business class boarding process at Chicago Union Station (and luggage), can anyone help provide clarity?

I've searched Youtube videos and read various threads, and somehow I am still confused by the boarding process at Chicago Union Station. Also, I've never taken Amtrak before in my life, only trains elsewhere in the US, Canada, & Asia. Next week I'll be taking the 319 River Runner from Chicago to St Louis in business class. I'm a bit stressed about the whole boarding, not having a seat assigned, going to the right area, etc and can't find good clarity on boarding. So if I show up about an hour before - do I head to a business lounge (I have read mixed things on whether or not this exists at Chicago), and then I just sit and wait, and someone comes in and yells for us to line up and board, and then I just pick any open seat in business class? Is that correct? Do I need to show up earlier/later? I want to be as close to the front of line as possible to ensure I can snag a single seat if they exist on my car.

As far as my luggage question - will a 26" suitcase be able to go above my head if I can lift it, or will I have to use the luggage rack? If I use the luggage rack will train staff get pissed at me if I use a bike cable lock to lock it to the rack? I recoginize this is probably overkill, but this is what's going to give me comfort if I can't lift and fit it over my head. I know theft is limited, but I have seen enough theft reports that I want to use a lock or have it near me.

Thank you!

So what happened at the Tower Grove Men meetup?

I’m sure many of you remember there were multiple posts about a Tower Grove Men meetup to happen in May, half of y’all were defending it and the other half of us were skeptical and called out some talking points that seemed red pill coded like other men’s meetups happening around the country. Several of y’all said you were going to go and report back what happened, and if it was sketchy or not. So - did any of y’all stick to your word and go, and if so what happened? Genuinely curious since this was such a hot topic in here.

Seeking a doctor in the area willing to treat Hashimoto patients to optimal, not just in range. Striking out researching on my own

As title states. My current endocrinologist refuses to treat my Hashimoto to a TSH of 1, only under 5, and I’m getting worse and feel like hell. I went to a second endocrinologist Piedmont sent me to, he told me subclinical hypothyroidism is a myth, and if I fully switch to him he’s taking me completely off of my Synthroid. I don’t want to doctor shop and end up with both a doctor that can’t or won’t treat my Hashimoto correctly, and be left without a refill of my current Synthroid. If anyone here with Hashimoto knows a doctor willing to prescribe to a TSH of 1 and treat sub clinical hypothyroidism please share.

My current clinic is Atlanta Diabetes Associates so anyone with them is out of the question due to my current doctor.

I cannot lose weight properly despite measuring my food unless I cut calories low. Seeking advice (37F)

This is going to be a little lengthy but this is a 10 year battle, so I apologize.

Background: I started rapidly gaining weight around 2018 and began experiencing crippling fatigue. By the start of 2020 I had gained 80 LB, and my fatigue was so severe I could only handle going to work, and coming home and getting straight in bed. I got diagnosed with Hashimoto autoimmune disease in March 2020, started Synthroid, began a 1200-1500 cal/day diet, 1 hour of cardio exercise a day, my energy came back, and I lost 60LB across 6 months. It was amazing! Unfortunately, in 2022 I caught COVID for the first time and had repeated COVID infections, and after all of the infections my weight and fatigue symptoms slowly came back on from 2023-today where I’m at my heaviest ever.

Today: No matter what I do \*I cannot lose weight\*. I measure everything I eat, including oils, and cap myself between 1200-1500 calories a day, and all that does is have me maintain, not lose. If I eat the standard 2000 calories a day I gain, and I gain FAST. I’ve gained another 15 LB just from the start of March to today. I have tendonitis, multiple joint tears, and early onset arthritis so my primary exercise is body strength training and walking, however I have recently introduced cardio again (Zumba) at the guidance of my Orthopedist. The scale still does not budge, this is nothing like the weight loss journey I had in 2020. The only way I see any progress is by eating a strict 1200 calories, and doing a workout that my Apple Watch estimates is around 500-600 calories burned. \*This is not sustainable or healthy and I know this.\* Does anyone have guidance on what I should do? I am truly at a loss for how to do this in a healthy manner, since the level I do see progress at is not healthy.

I have had every blood panel under the sun done, the only thing they’ve found is my Hashimotos disease and elevated testosterone which points to potential PCOS, but my OBGYN has no interest in pursuing this thread. Everything else appears normal. Most of my doctors want to throw me on the weight loss injections, but I refuse to do this, I want to find the root cause and not be on an injection the rest of my life.

How can I see full cam history on Google Home? Not seeing it

I’ve been using the Nest app still because I’ve never been able to see full camera history on Google Home, I’m going out of town and need to be able to see this while Nest is out. Does anyone know if this is possible? I know I can just wait til Nest is back up, but I really need access to history until then.

Have to go to New Orleans in September, my requirements for a room are strong cold AC, not one of those HVAC blowers that’s in the lower half of the wall by the bed (the old school long plastic ones that are loud), clean, quiet, and under $250 a night. I’m looking at booking the Marriott Warehouse District since it seems to fit all of that. Anyone have feedback?

Just booked business class from Chicago to St Louis on the Lincoln River Runner, I expected to be able to select my seat after purchase and was a bit shocked that there’s no option. Is it a free for all during boarding? If so what are my best options for getting a window seat on the best side of the train? I just got home from a month in Japan so it’s a bit of a shock to see that I can’t select seats on something this long. I’m trying to read up on the processes myself on their website but I’m still confused by this.

Hi all. Trying to decide between Hyatt Centric The Loop and Hyatt Centric Magnificent Mile in Chicago. This is an award booking so all other hotels aren’t options for when I’m going. I’m leaning toward the Loop, does anyone have feedback on either? I’ve read multiple people say they didn’t get sleep at the Magnificent Mile centric due to the hospital sirens all night, I need quiet without earplug use so I’m thinking Loop. Also I need good AC so if either of these have AC issues it would be good to know.

ETA: forgot to add the Regency is an option as well
