Why, because I can, and it's the SAME price for me as the 1 Gbps plan. for the next five years. sooooooooooo duh. Going above 1 Gbps for my use case is more about status and ego than anything else. I did have to redownload MSFS 2020 and all my assets because 2024 was having server issues, and that took half the day, so it can come in handy when I really want that extra boost and want something sooner.

A bunch of stuff on my home network is already on 10 Gbps, just internal links.

I don't use their router for my 1 Gbps connection, no need to, since my router is better and I enjoy that ecosystem(Ubiquiti Unifi), and I have a fiber media converter between the ont and my switch. I will need to change this converter to a faster one if the new ONT lacks an SFP

I have a question about the VZ equipment for the 5 Gbps Fios,
I know it will be a new one since my old one doesn't have any ports above 1 Gbps
Does the new ONT have an SFP port, or is it still fiber in and Ethernet out? Can I still use my own router without needing to use theirs?

Well it’s been over year since I was diagnosed with t2d, not a shocker , I would house whole cases of Dr Pepper in a few days.
Well I stopped and I switched to seltzer and a can of Dr Pepper zero, l cold turkey that fix, like for real I don’t drink regular soda anymore and I don’t drink diet/zero as frequently as I did regular, maybe a can at dinner, it’s been seltzer and spindrifts when I want something sweeter. And maybe a juice with breakfast on the weekends.
That dropped the numbers immediately from omg super dangerous life at risk to off the ledge back on tracks
then flat, high numbers , not in the green but past the yellow into the orange red, but hay it’s not off the charts red.
I been a life long drinker of that stuff. But not anymore,

Well after the diet change and the increased exercise and other meds I still have high t2d numbers a1c and glucose have seem to have flattened out at these high number , now they are no where as close to as the danger I was In before, but they are not good by medical standards. Cutting carbs totally out won’t happen let’s be real who wants to say no to some Dan Dan noodles or a cheese steak from Del Rossi (gotta be in Philly) I know I won’t , it’s not every day, but on take out Fridays when I don’t cook.

So today I start this journey to get those t2d numbers to a better safer range and this tool should help. The other benefits I can see the results from all y’all’s posts and brings inspiration.
