I’m an offshore bookkeeper charging $20-$25 an hour. I work with CPAs and manage my own clients too.
I recently onboarded a new client. It was 10 hours a week. They’ve now come back and asked me to reduce my rate because their business isn’t doing well right now. And I’m stuck.

I do get that things are tough for a lot of businesses. But on the other hand this is a brand new client. We just started. If this was someone I’d worked with for a long time I would not even think twice about supporting them through a rough patch. But we haven’t even built that relationship yet.

I’m also already charging a very reasonable rate for the experience and qualifications I bring. And the scope of work could increase down the line so I don’t want to lock myself into a lower rate from the start.
Part of me wants to just let this client go and find someone new. But I also hate the process of constantly looking for new clients.

I’m not sure if I should reduce my rate or hold firm? And if I do reduce it how did will I handle setting boundaries around it?

Just thinking to upgrade my makeup/skincare and add in some high end products so I was wondering what are some of the products that are actually worth it?
I don’t think a lipgloss worth $30 justify the price

I want to learn pottery seriously not just attend a one-day workshop.
I’m looking for a place in Islamabad or Rawalpindi that offers proper pottery or ceramics classes where I can learn wheel throwing, glazing, firing and learn the complete process over a few months.
If you’ve learned pottery yourself or know a good institute or ceramic artist who teaches beginners, I’d really appreciate your recommendations. Please share your experience if you’ve taken classes there.

I got rheumatic fever when I was 13 from which I got recovered from but nobody told be about post care.

So from 2020 onwards I started having joint pain which keep increasing overtime I got tests done in 2023 and turns out to be severely Vit D deficient and ASot was 800s. All bones of my body hurt when moving.

I was on medication and although recovered Vit D in 2025 but ASOT stayed on 400.

Now in 2026 I got tests done again and I’m again Vit D deficient and ASOT level is still at 400.
I lost my parent too which caused me to lose weight. I’m 167cm and 47kgs only

How do I recover from this? I do plan on visiting my doctor again but should I keep eating anti biotics??
It feels I’m on where I started years ago. I’m so overwhelmed right now. I can’t do hiking or any activity that involves a lot of movement.

If you’ve been through this, what has helped you the most in dealing with the loss of a parent

A referral of mine recently connected me with a client who needed a bookkeeping assistant to help offload some of their work. She had a pretty complex reconciliation task she wanted handled so she could focus on other things. I went through the account, evaluated the scope of the project and quoted her $1,200. She was happy with the price honestly it was on the lower end given the amount of work involved and she paid me upfront without hesitation. She seemed like a genuinely lovely person to work with and I was really looking forward to it.

The problem is, before I can begin I need a few things from her to kick off the work. That was three days ago and I have not heard a single word since. No response to my messages nothing.
Now here is where I am at mentally. I am an offshore bookkeeper and I take my work and my reputation incredibly seriously. I have spend my whole life on the principle that I will never take a single penny that I have not earned. That is just who I am. So sitting here with $1,200 in my account for work I have not started yet is genuinely stressing me out.
I do not know if something has come up on her end or if she has simply gone quiet. But I need to figure out how to handle this properly. Do I keep following up? Do I set a deadline before I consider returning the money? And if it comes to that, how do people handle refunds when you are working as an offshore contractor?
Has anyone been in a similar situation? Would love to hear how you handled it.

So I have an iPhone 13 and honestly I’m pretty satisfied with the camera. But whenever I scroll through Instagram and see influencers and bloggers posting their content the quality just looks so different. And most of the time I notice it’s shot on a digicam so it got me thinking.

I do record myself sometimes but I’ve noticed my video quality has been decreasing over time and I’m not sure why. Could be storage could be settings I really don’t know.

So now I’m at a point where I’m thinking either I upgrade my phone or I just get a camera. I feel like to get that kind of quality a camera might actually be worth it but I’m not 100% sure if it’s necessary or if a newer phone would do the same job.

I’m upgrading my skincare and switching to Asian beauty. I know the hype of this lotion but a lot of people said they got comedones which scares me as I’ve comedone prone skin and I’m trying to recover. I have combination comedonal skin

I recently got an offer from Outmin, which describes itself as an AI-based accounting startup. Not sure how this would differ from a traditional accounting role.
Does the work stay genuinely accounting-focused, or does it lean more product/tech-support using accounting as the backdrop?

Does this kind of experience hold up well on a CV compared to traditional firm experience?
Would appreciate any insight from anyone who’s worked at a similar setup.
