This is what I get for not studying Ground Zero on a map or loading a practice before the real thing. Lost some good stuff, but we take the L and keep moving. ALWAYS KNOW YOUR EXIT BEFORE YOU ENTER
I assume this part of the quest is to access Labs. I found "the entrance to the facility", which I think is Pinewood Hotel basement, but when I walked up to it I didn't get a quest complete and I couldn't extract since I didn't have a scav with me. Is there somewhere else I need to go? And does the 20k USD have anything to do with it? Please help, I'm a new player and so lost. This game is cool as shit but is really confusing to me.

Any advice would be appreciated. I'm new to the game and looking to improve.
I have a quest 2 currently using a link cable to PC, but the PC is on wifi. I want to switch to virtual desktop to have a better experience, but I don't have ethernet. If I was to use VD on a PC without ethernet, how bad would the experience be? Is it worth doing or do I need ethernet?
