Is it even worth being a writer/author if AI is the go to nowadays?

So for context, I am a writer and have been working on a novel for some time now. Writing the novel has made me happy and story wise I can't wait to share it with the world.

But just a few months ago, I offered to proofread and give advice on other novels in the making from potential authors. And most if not all were just AI slop.

It really made me want to come here and ask this burning question that's been plaguing me for quite some time; Is the time and energy to be an author even worth it nowadays if AI is just so convenient for people that they just write slop, pass it as a book and potentially garnish more attention, love and praise than real authors and writers?

Feel free to give me the hard truth. And to all my organic writers, stay frosty, my friends.

Any school districts that hire para social and don't do prorated salary?

Text says it all. Looking for a job in bus driving but I don't want a job that is prorated, I'd like a genuine hourly rate job. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I love Oh Yeah? But...

I can't find myself gelling with Doom. Like every song on this album is a bop to me except that one, which sucked because it seems to be a single he's trying to push out there. Happy there's folks who do like it, but Doom isn't my forte. Sorry.

Looking for a Mixing and/or Mastering Engineer for a reasonable price.

I'm a 25F who makes music, mainly something that falls into alternative hip-hop/rap. I've been making music seriously for almost three years now and though I think I've gotten better, there's always something that seems to be wrong and destroys my tracks. I've been trying to learn it and I know it takes years to master but truth be told I am stomped.

I use FL Studio and I know I could pay for the full version but truth be told I'd rather put that money into finding someone I can work with for the long haul in regards to mastering a track for streaming than buy a full overwhelming DAW that might set my small ass computer ablazed.

So long story short, is there anyone who is open to working with me on my music so we can both make it in this scene?

Would also prefer an engineer that keeps it real (tells me if I need to re record, redo an instrumental, fix my mixing, drop a song, etc.) if you're interested lmk.

Anywhere or anyone who can help with tax appeals in San Antonio, Texas?

I've been trying to clear a mistake that was made by the IRS that caused me to owe them almost ten thousands of dollars (though I could've genuinely have made a mistake since the mistake was done on my first filing of my taxes).

I feel like no one is really helping with my issue and I'm being walked around in circles, so is there a way I can get a tax appeal and fix all of this? I'm willing to pay someone to assist, but I'm not in the mood for identity fraud.

Thank you!

[Hiring] two editors for the long haul

Hey, I'm a 25F looking for an editor to help me out in regards to editing my videos on YouTube. Introduction wise, I go by the moniker unluckiestmember, though I do call myself "the unluckiest member on the internet" for fun.

I dabble in making reviews for shows and movies with my long form videos ranging from 10 to 45 minutes. I also do short form videos on movies, hoping to do more on shows as well and even video games if possible.

I do my own edits, nothing spectacular just quick pace edits that lean on slapstick, shock, clever and even meme comedy. For reference, think of Schaffrilas Productions, Zephfire and Sarcastic Chorus. I don't try to go all out unless I really want to or it benefits in the long run of the video (AKA leads up to something I've been foreshadowing.)

So I can edit. Then why do I need an editor? Good question!

This is because I'm becoming increasingly busy with other hobbies and career paths in my life. I'm trying to work on creating (writing and producing) film and shows, while also making music and keeping up with my new hopefully permanent job. So I need help relieving some of that stress. That's why I'm making the gander in asking for any fellow editors willing to help me out!

I'm looking for editors that can do simple if not creative edits sometimes using the most bare bones tricks and actions. I am of course open to more complex edits though, I only say the following because I want my videos to be appealing while also showing that editing can be pretty easy and for the most part cost friendly (it costs a lot of time, trust me, I know, but in a monetary since, you can use a free editing software and still get the job done.)

I'd also like to work with an editor that isn't afraid to constructively criticize or even question some of my future video ideas, etc.

And lastly I would like an editor who doesn't just see our relationship as a mere editor/creator, but hopefully a partnership and friendship in the long run. I want this editor to mainly help out with long form videos in regards to reviews and discussions of many types of media, and hopefully we can also begin working on reaction videos.

Examples of videos I do/have done are down below! (Please note that I edited half of both videos with one of my long-term editors);

https://youtu.be/\_dZqPi5Lsk8?is=NGefxulkncDjAhqH

https://youtu.be/CUBcH3NS\_WU?is=0Pdhw9H0uMr8afh4

Price range wise I'm doing $20 for under 10 minute videos. And $40 for videos that are up to thirty. For videos over thirty (this might be rare though), looking at about $80. All of these prices can be negotiated though, I ain't a stickler. I plan to send a sample to see if we work well unless you have some footage of a video you've done to show me how you usually edit.

So if you're interested or have any questions, please let me know. I'm looking for two editors at the moment so first come first serve! Until then though, I hope you all stay safe, stay hydrated and have a good day.

So how are you supposed to grow a fanbase nowadays?

Hey, I'm just gonna make this quick; I live in a town that loves music, just not the kind of music i make (hip-hop, pop, alternative). I have been to open mics, networked as best as I could and promoted online, but I feel like I'm getting nowhere. So I'm asking you guys; How am I supposed to get some listeners or play when it feels impossible?

A Group for the urban music scene of San Antonio, Texas

Hello everyone, I'm as 25F and San Antonio's music scene is known for its rock and country jams, but the scene of more urban classics in the making is sorely lacking.

Which is why I have created a small community in hopes of helping fellow artists in the urban scene meet like minds, network connections and push their hobby to the next level of a great career.

If anyone of you guys who produce, write or dabble in hip-hop. pop, alternative and indie music want to link up and start making moves please let me know.

Where are the hip-hop/pop artists at?

Hey guys, I'm 24F and I'm struggling to find anyone in the hip-hop and pop culture in San Antonio. When I say the culture I mean anyone, it can be well known talents or amateurs like me. Where are you guys? Should I make a group or something? Let me know!

What would you recommend I use for a capture card? Or to capture gaming footage in general?

Hello! I'm currently looking to dip my toes into gaming videos and review and just in general wanting to play games with an audience. I have tried in the past to stream on Twitch a game I was playing on my PS5 and used the Playstation streaming software on my laptop (big mistake, I know). This is only because I had bought a cheap capture card from Walmart that seemed to not work.

So to make a long story short, what would you all suggest I do to properly get footage on my laptop for audiences to see and for us all to have fun experiencing together? For those who are wondering, I own a HP laptop and below are the optics of the laptop.

I hope everyone has a good day/evening/night!

Help me please! I'm begging you!

I'm trying to work on something for a personal project, but it focuses on foreshortening, which is something I'm still very much new to.

So to make a long story short, any suggestions? The weapon is a bolo sword and shotgun hybrid. Any feedback is appreciated.
