ELI5: Einstein’s theory of relativity, how does the biological time change??

Title basically, i just watched interstellar for the first time yesterday, and while i can understand the theory itself, i don’t understand how the biological time changes. For example, lets say i’m someone in space where 1 hour there is 10 years on earth, my organs would age 1 hour yet on earth for someone they will age 10 years? Like are organs, cells, our body bounded to a “general/universal” time where they age almost at the same rate for all humans but somehow differ when in different places of space or what?

Sorry if i’m not making it clear but this has been something i always thought about ever since i heard of the theory lol

Time to change phone or still usable for 1 more year?

I’ve had this phone for almost 5 years now and it served me right, however the battery is at 72% now and i’m thinking of either replacing battery or just getting iPhone 17 pro, which one is worth it more considering the price difference and convenience? Would replacing battery help with lagginess and slowness?

Right ear blocked/muffled hearing for months after getting sick — Eustachian tube issue or something else?

I’ve been dealing with a weird issue with my right ear since around mid-June, and I’m finally seeing an ENT again tomorrow, but I wanted to see if anyone has experienced something similar.
It started when I got sick and had pretty bad nasal congestion/allergy symptoms. I was blowing my nose a lot, my right ear suddenly popped, and afterward I had pain and slightly reduced/muffled hearing on that side.
I saw an ENT at the time. They did a hearing test and another test that I think checked middle-ear pressure/fluid. My hearing apparently came back normal, and I was told there was only a small amount of fluid. I was given medication/nasal spray and eventually felt much better.
Then I got sick again later, blew my nose, and the same ear popped again. The pain and muffled hearing returned but gradually improved over the following weeks.
What confuses me is what happened a few days ago. I wasn’t sick anymore and had been feeling relatively fine. I went to sleep normally, woke up the next morning, and suddenly my right ear felt painful and completely blocked again. Over the next few days my hearing on that side became noticeably more muffled.
My right nostril is also blocked now, and I feel this pressure/congested sensation going from the right side of my nose/cheek toward my ear.
The weirdest part is that whenever I swallow or yawn, I can clearly feel my left ear equalize/pop normally, but absolutely nothing happens in the right ear. It feels like that side is completely sealed off.
Has anyone had Eustachian tube dysfunction or middle-ear fluid behave like this — improving for weeks and then suddenly becoming blocked again without actually getting sick?
I’m mainly worried about whether the hearing difference is just temporary/conductive because of the blockage, or whether something else could be going on. I’m seeing an ENT tomorrow and will hopefully repeat the hearing/pressure tests.

What should I upgrade first in my PC? Looking for a sensible upgrade path

I recently got into PC gaming and I’m trying to figure out what my upgrade path should look like rather than randomly replacing parts.

Current specs:
**CPU:** Intel i5-14400F
**GPU:** ASUS Dual RTX 5060 Ti 8GB
**Motherboard:** ASUS PRIME H610M-K D4
**RAM:** 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4-3200
**PSU:** XIGMATEK Z-Power II RGB 600W
**SSD:** Lexar NM620 1TB NVMe
**Monitor:** 1440p high refresh rate

The PC is performing well right now, so I’m not looking to upgrade immediately. I mainly want to understand **what I should prioritize when I eventually do upgrade**.

I was thinking about something like an **RTX 5070** in the future. Would I be able to just replace the 5060 Ti with a 5070, or would I need to upgrade the PSU/motherboard/anything else at the same time?

I’m also wondering:
What is currently the weakest part of this build?

Should my first upgrade be the **PSU, RAM, GPU, motherboard, or something else?**

Is the i5-14400F good enough to keep for a future 5070-level GPU at 1440p?

Would going from **16GB to 32GB RAM** be worthwhile before upgrading the GPU?

Is the H610 motherboard something I should eventually replace, or is there no real reason to if everything works?

If replacing the PSU, what wattage/quality level should I aim for so I have decent room for future GPU upgrades?

Basically looking for the **most sensible upgrade order** for this build and which components I can comfortably keep for the next few years.

Thanks!

Crimson Desert really needs an optional GPS route/navigation line

Before people immediately reply with “just learn the map,” “the distances are short,” or “the whole point is exploring” — that’s not really the issue.

They could simply add a GPS route option that can be turned on or off.

If you prefer navigating naturally, learning the roads, and exploring without guidance, leave it off. Nothing changes for you.
If you prefer having an actual route to your objective instead of constantly checking the map or guessing which road leads where, turn it on.

I don’t understand why this has to be treated like one side has to win. An optional setting would benefit both types of players and wouldn’t take anything away from the people who enjoy the current navigation system.

They already took a similar approach with difficulty options**.** Let players choose the experience they prefer instead of forcing everyone into one style.

I’m really enjoying Crimson Desert, but an optional GPS/navigation route would be a genuinely great QoL update.

What are these tiny bugs gathering around my door frames? They keep increasing every day

I’ve suddenly started noticing tons of these tiny dark bugs around the door frames throughout my house.

They seem to gather mostly around the bottom and edges of the wooden frames. I’ve wiped/vacuumed them up several times, but they keep coming back, and the number seems to increase every day.

They are definitely live insects and are crawling around, not droppings or debris.

I don’t have any indoor plants, so I’m confused about where they’re coming from. I’m also wondering if they could be related to moisture, the wood itself, or something inside/behind the door frames. And for reference i live in the ME where it’s hot and humid if that would help identify them.

Does anyone know what these are and what might be causing so many of them to appear? Should I get pest control involved?

Photo attached. Any help identifying them would be appreciated.

Playing RDR2 on PC 8 years later feels like experiencing it for the first time again

I first played RDR2 when I was 14 on the PS4, at 30 FPS. Even back then, I thought it was one of the best games I had ever played.

Now, 8 years later, I finally got a gaming PC and decided to play it again. I’m playing at 1440p, 60+ FPS with the settings cranked up, and holy shit… this game is absolutely incredible.

I obviously remember it looking amazing, but I genuinely don’t remember it looking this good. The lighting, the landscapes, the animations, the little details everywhere — and especially how smooth everything feels at 60+ FPS. Sometimes I’m literally just riding around on my horse and looking at the scenery instead of actually doing anything lol.

What’s crazy is that this game came out in 2018. There are games coming out today that don’t look or feel anywhere near this polished.
I already loved RDR2, but playing it like this genuinely feels like I’m experiencing it for the first time again. I can already tell I’m going to sink an embarrassing amount of time into this playthrough.

What a fucking game.

Sciatica symptoms in my early 20s — should I be worried? Anyone else dealt with this young?

I’m in my early 20s, lean and generally active, but recently I’ve been having what seems like sciatica symptoms and it’s starting to worry me a bit because of my age.

I drive a lot for work, usually a minimum of around 1 hour 20 minutes at a time, sometimes longer. For quite a while I’ve noticed lower back pain/aching while driving, especially after sitting in the car for a long time.

More recently, I’ve started getting pain/aching that seems to travel from around my left hip/buttock area down my left leg, sometimes reaching the calf. At first I mainly noticed it after long drives or when lying down, but lately the left leg has been flaring up more and I can sometimes feel it throughout the day as well.

Walking and standing generally seem to bother me less than sitting for long periods.

I know sciatica can happen at any age, but getting symptoms like this in my early 20s has me wondering if this is something I should be seriously worried about or if it’s fairly common, especially for someone who spends a lot of time driving.

For anyone who developed sciatica or similar nerve pain at a young age:

What ended up causing yours?
Did it eventually go away?
Did physiotherapy/exercises help?
Did changing your driving posture or seat position make a noticeable difference?
At what point did you decide to see a doctor or get imaging done?
Is surgery the only option?

For clarity:
Obviously I’m not looking for Reddit to diagnose me, just interested in hearing other people’s experiences and what helped them. I’m planning to get it checked if it keeps progressing.

How much would it cost to build an above average PC?

I’ve been a console player my whole life and have almost close to 0 knowledge about PC, however just recently i’ve been planning on getting a PC to experience the games i love with better graphics and performance. I’ve had the PS5 for years now but i was wondering how much would it cost to build a PC that can run for example Cyberpunk on high graphics and AT LEAST 60 FPS? Or maybe Crimson Desert with high graphics and also AT LEAST 60 FPS and no less?

I’m sorry but the naval in AC BFR is lacking.

Before you all call me hating on the game, I’m genuinely trying to go over the fact that compared to the original that was 13 years ago, naval combat just felt more intense. Idk if it’s the way the camera used to move and rotate when you go over waves or that waves didn’t disappear during onboarding or the fact that she ship causes no water wakes or ripples. For a game that has a huge naval core gameplay i thought the remake would be an upgrade and not a downgrade.

Any chances of them adding the old combat system for AC black flag resynced?

Game is great, graphics are awesome, but man do i miss the different animations and stuff you could do during combat in the old release. Any chances of them adding it back or something similar? Or even post launch updates and adding new stuff?

Please help, are veneers my only option?

I’ve had transparent teeth, white patches, and yellow “scratches” thingy on my teeth for years, went to a dentist 3 years ago and he filled cavities and the yellow scratches with resin i think? Not sure, the cavities are still filled on the left of the right middle tooth, however it’s gone from the yellow scratches completely. I don’t know what to do and what treatment i could get, is veneers my only option?

Any Cafe/“Maqha” shops in ajman without women working there?

Not those fancy cafes, but the ones we call “Qahwa” or “Maqha”, preferably without women serving.

Why is Destiny 2 trending now all of the sudden?

Not trying to sound sarcastic or ignorant here, genuinely asking. Game is currently hitting a +100k player count, why tho? Tried searching and understanding but way too many things pop up. New DLC?

22M Renewable energy engineering grad, which one do I choose?

Hello reddit, I'll try to sum up what I'm currently torn between. So basically I'm a renewable and sustainable energy engineer graduate with two opportunities in working for 2 big companies, however, one is a global system integrator that specializes in massive digital transformation, delivering secure, end-to-end digital and industrial infrastructure solutions and the other is a global construction, engineering, and real estate development company that specialize in infrastructure financing, design-build general contracting, and sustainable urban development. The first I'd start as a system engineer while the latter I'd work in ESG department. and while the logical answer "I think?" would be to follow the career that is related to my major and field rather than telecom or IT that I took 0 courses on, I dont really mind learning something new and broadening my field of expertise and skills. Really need advice here cause I really don't know what to do lol
