Claude Code - what to do when I hit the limit?

Hi,

I'm on Pro plan, sometimes while coding I suddenly get the error that I'm on 2h cooldown.

I use it mostly in terminal, and there is an option to stop for now and continue later, don't remember exactly.

But when I select it, when the cooldown passes, it doesn't do what it was supposed to do.

Sometimes when I tell it "continue what you were supposed to do before we hit the limit", it will do something completely different.

So my question is basically what's the best way to "resume"?

Thanks!

Need RAW files from DSLR, FIT files, Stacked .tif files [Coding an app]

Hi,

I need RAW files from multiple cameras, since I'm making an app for Mac that does all kinds of stuff with astro images.

So I'm looking for RAW files from cameras like Sony, Canon, Nikon etc. Also need mono fit/fits, with filters/without filters used. And large fit/fits files, 100MB+ from big sensors.

Thank you in advance.

EDIT: Don't need stacked files anymore.

Claude Code - clearing chat and memory (how to?)

Hi,

I'm using Claude Code in terminal on Mac OS, and sometimes inside Xcode.

I'm using CLAUDE.md of course, with general idea of the project etc.

People say to once in a while /clear the memory to save tokens. But this is what I don't get, if I /clear then it won't remember what we did, what issues we had etc.

So I would have to tell it to analyse all code, but this would use a lot of tokens right?

I've tried telling Claude to write documentation in CLAUDE.md but it did it once or twice and then stopped.

So what's the best practice?

Thanks!

Spider mites - P. Afra indoors

I’ve showered it yesterday, used 70% alcohol, 3% peroxide, even watered the rocky soil with it.

Today I see a bunch of webs. 😭

What product’s available in the UK are worth trying?
Something not too expensive, and safe indoors, I also have a cat.

Thanks

Best model for generating consistent graphics? [LM Studio]

Hi,

I use Claude but want to give LM Studio a try. I want to be able to generate consistent design images.

As example I would like to for example generate 20 icons in the same style.

Is there a good model for this?

Thanks!

Parlour palm - what’s wrong with it?

Hi,

I bought my palm few months ago, it looks a bit off and has those spots on leaves.

Could it be not enough water?
It’s on a south facing windowsill.

It was in normal soil but I’ve repotted it into fully inorganic mix as experiment, but it looked like that before repotting.

Thanks

Porting an app from one language to Swift using Xcode and Claude Code

Hi,

I know only basics of Swift and Xcode, I did learn it years ago. I'm making some apps for myself, and I'm amazed by the output Claude Code generates.

I'm still learning, thinking what is the best approach for this kind of thing.

Most of the time I use the Claude extension in Xcode, and I talk to Claude using the assistant side window.

Anyway let's say there is simple app coded in Python or C++ or whatever, and I would like to use that code's logic etc. and create a Mac or iOS app using Claude Code mostly.

Should I put the let's say Python code in same folder as my Xcode project, and tell code to read it and "learn it"? I assume it's not the most efficient way?

Or should I explain in CLAUDE.md which file/folder does what in the source code that I'm porting to Swift etc?

Any tips appreciated.

I also keep hitting limits all the time which is super frustrating, but I'm learning and want to use less tokens, not sure how yet.

Thanks!

Hi,

I do CMD + R and it opens the simulator, when I'm done I simply go to top bar and "quit the simulator".

Most of the time if I do CMD + R again, despite not changing anything, I get this error:

https://ibb.co/5xBqg82N

I have to do things like go to simulator option, restart, quit, and do CMD + R again.

Is it bugged or Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks!

Hi,

So I got a call and I have to move out within the next 2 months. My cat belonged to my neighbour who moved out.

She is like 7-9 years old, decided to live with us instead, lol.

Anyway she is used to us letting her out at night especially, and this is where here bathroom is.

I'm not sure if I could teach her now how to use cat litter? That probably would be hard, right?

I was thinking also about creating some space for her "bathroom" in the new garden, but I was always a dog person! I'm out of ideas.

Also she is very loved by the family and we don't want her to get lost while we let her out.

I was thinking of maybe removing a speaker for AirTag and using tag, or are there better tiny GPS devices? (AirTag is BT)

Also are all cat collars safe for cats? Like I don't want her collar to attach to something and basically kill her if that makes sense.

I assume most Amazon products are not certified for things like that. What to look for while buying a collar?

Thanks for all advice!

Hi,

We are moving houses and my mother has this tall monstrea plant.

We also have an issue with fungus gnats.

We are thinking what to do with it.
My mother would like to make cut of the top part and propagate in water.

I have suggested perhaps we could do that, and take the lower part and disinfect and plant into fully inorganic mix, perhaps with additional pine bark or something.

Or is coconut coir better?

My mother doesn’t like the way the bottom part grows.

I know nothing about this plant.

Any tips please?

Hi,

I want to give it a try to remove fungus gnats and other issues.

Apparently it has to be pure high quality cinnamon for it to work.

Have anyone tried any preferably from Amazon UK that worked for you?

Thanks
