Hello, I used a MacBook Pro M5 Pro 16" but when I started taking it out for work, I got back pain. Then, I got a M5 Air 15". The Air felt lighter to hold but when I put it in the same backpack (light one), it felt the same as the Pro 16". What could be happening? I started to miss the brighter screen and larger screen estate. Too bad the redesign won't be out until later this year or most likely earlier next year.

Hello, I ordered two such monitors separately a day apart. BestBuy sent me the second monitor from another location. I checked the manufacture dates and they are of the same month and year. The white background of the first one is like having a blue-ish tint while the second one is like having a more white/slight yellow tint. This is especially annoying when an application is spread across the monitors. I checked the settings of both monitors and they looked the same. Settings under Displays on Mac OS are also the same. The first one only has 6500K and P3-Theater under color gamma but the 2nd one has all gamma options including 9300K available. Could it be different firmware? How to check? What could be the reason and how can I fix it?

Hello, I have been using Touch ID on my MacBook Pro M5 Pro. Now I added an external Magic Keyboard with Touch ID (lightning version). Tried to add a second fingerprint but it is not working.

Removed the keyboard from the Bluetooth list. Physically connected it to the MacBook Pro using a lightning cable. Waited for over 10 seconds and clicked under Touch ID, Add Fingerprint. It prompts "Place your finger" but there is no response when I put my finger on the sensor.

Deleted the first fingerprint and tried again but only the Touch ID on the MacBook works. The system has no response when I place my finger on the Magic keyboard's sensor.

Hello, on Windows 11, we could have two displays showing the content of an application. For example, when I dragged an Excel application window across the screens, I see the left side of the Excel sheet on the left (main) monitor and the right side of the Excel sheet on the right monitor. Releasing the mouse button stays that way. However, under MacOS, while dragging an application window across from one screen to another, MacOS allows me to see both the left and right side (dimmed on the right one) of the application window but once I have released the mouse button, only the left portion is seen. Is there any way to make it behaves like the Windows 11 way?

Hello, I see the vesa mount location is not flushed to the back of the monitor. In other monitors, I just used spacers and longer screws to connect. How about this one? Any specs on the size of spacers and screws

Hello, I just got this monitor. Under Preset, there are: Native, sRGB, Adobe RGB, BT.2020, DCI-P3, DICOM and Rec.709 (HDR dimmed). Which one should I use to match the M5 MacBook Pro 16" screen colour? Also, under MacOS, should I choose 2560x1440 (default) or 5120x2880? Thanks

Monitor’s brightness automatically lowers to min. Need to manually increase the brightness after reconnect. Very annoying. Is this normal or it depends on the monitor?

Hi, when I tested a M5 Air 15” 16GB 1TB SSD in March, the memory was sufficient for my use even using one Windows VM via Parallels and an external 4K monitor.

In case I want to connect to external monitor, do I need more RAM? What is the recommended RAM size for the following cases?

1. One 5K
2. One 5K with one 4K
3. Two 5K

Hello, just received a TB5 cable from Apple but it looks exactly like the TB4 cable. Both have a lighting symbol on both ends. How to tell which is TB5 without testing?

Recently I found some of them very impatient. Today, I was trying to return some items without paper receipts. As I returned three sets of tabletop with legs already (all wobbles), I needed time to find which receipts had not been used for refund. She told me to step aside and served another customer. Once I found possible e-receipts, that customer talked forever even she told him and his wife several times to ask the specialists in the kitchen department. Continued to talk forever 10-15 minutes while I was just standing there. She could have searched the computer to find the receipts but she didn’t bother.

Yesterday I asked for some missing parts. She searched and said that they didn’t have everything. She got a few and told me to order myself next time. I asked about desk wobbling. She didn’t want to explain and called another customer to go to the counter. Then, she just served that customer.

Hello, I have used a lot of IKEA products. Many years ago, the QC was very poor but these days, they are quite good. However, I bought two Trotten desktops from two different stores. Both of them have a chip at one edge. One has several scratches on the top and the other has an unremovable brown dot in the middle of the white desktop. Before I checked the second one, I told an IKEA coworker about the first one. She said that this is the first time she had heard that there are scratches and chipped edge with the Trotten. However, two units from two different stores have issues. What could be the reason? Factory management problem?

Hello, the AC adapter that came with it is very big and heavy. If possible, I want the lightest charger which could charge the laptop (when doing office productivity work, web browsing, YouTube video watching) at reasonably rate. Any good recommendations?

Hello, bought a regular mattress from another manufacturer about 10 years ago. Used for about 6 years and it had a big dent causing back pain. Then I went to IKEA to buy a topper to put on top. Was working well until recently. Even I flip the sides regularly, a dent is easily created just in one right. This caused back pain again. Is this time to buy a new topper? Which firm one do you recommend? Although there are labels on the current one, can’t find a name or product code. Only Tananger is written on it. Is it product name or location it was made?

Hello, I am using ADILS. I think somewhere I read that there is a common believe that legs such as the ADILS, HILVER, OLOV and KRILLE cause wobbling. However, a co-worker told me that they shouldn't if I have tightened the screws. Is it really true?
