Black people can be racist too.
Kind of tired of hearing over and over again, particularly from lefties, that black people cannot be racist just because of the system without bringing up what system it is or what institution it is. Systematically alcohol shouldn’t be drunk, and we shouldn’t eat pork. Shall we go ahead with that? No? Then stop bringing up systems like they’re the truth, it’s incoherent. I could make up my own system saying white people are invincible, and that would be true according to the system, but they won’t like that, and they definitely don’t like it when you bring up religion.
I’m sick of it. I’m sick of the racism that black people cannot be racist. I believe in equality, hence, anyone can be racist, anyone can be sexist. The amount of lefties that deny the existence of misandry and racism towards white people just because the system says so is shocking.
Emotional reasoning leads to manipulation.
“I feel you did X, therefore you did X” is such a stupid thing to say, especially if you previously deny that you have done X before they even make that allegation, and also ignoring your intent and ignoring all what you said earlier. Not only that but it’s a false allegation as it’s a claim with no suitable evidence, and a loaded assumption. You can’t logic a feeling, you can’t make them feel better even if you try to do anything - which makes emotional reasoning manipulative because you literally cannot logic it and they can use that as a tool, which leads to manipulation.
Have you had anyone like this?
The most disgusting Reddit post I’ve ever seen in my life.
The UK shouldn’t allow police to log what isn’t a crime, what didn’t happen, or anything else, on the PNC, and allow them to put it on your enhanced DBS until you’re 100 years old.
I don’t mean any convictions, I just mean stuff that’s isn’t convicted and what isn’t a crime
No AI company should report you to the authorities over a claim with no evidence
Otherwise, someone could say "I stole chocolate" and Anthropic, the world's most moral AI, would report it to the police - committing an offence of "wasting police time."
What colour do you associate with?
I’m with Purple 💜

reddit.comI think I might have found what's causing the forced Adaptive Thinking mode on Sonnet 4.6
Hello. This isn't a tech support request per se but I think I have a theory on why the forced adaptive thinking mode might have happened:
- Fable 5. Fable 5 does not allow you to turn off adaptive thinking, so it could have carried over from there to Sonnet 4.6.
- You have access to Fable 5, which the only way to not have access of it is to go on a Free tier.
- You have used Fable 5 before, and it carried over due to a flag (yes I tested the model with the good ol' biology too), potentially modifying your prompts on your default model to contain the adaptive thinking mode inside it, bypassing the adaptive thinking option entirely - hidden to the user.
It's worth noting that deleting your conversations with Fable 5 do not help because it's just hidden from your chat history and doesn't actually delete for up to 30 days. Not only that but if the conversation gets flagged then Anthropic can keep it for up to 2 years - so it is still linked to your account, and you can still see your deleted conversation IDs by exporting your data (if it's blank, then it's deleted), which, if it's still in the system, then the system would treat you as if you still have access to those conversations, which is technically true in a narrow sense given the data.
It is best we do not conflate "up to 30 days" and "up to 2 years" with "for 30 days" and "for 2 years," as given the word being mentioned by Anthropic, it's possible that they might delete those conversations way before then - though we do not know 100% of how they run and it's only a possibility.
Here are some of the solutions that I can think of:
- Wait until Fable 5 goes.
- Wait up to 30 days after you delete your conversation or if it's been flagged wait for up to 2 years. If you opted in to feedback then perhaps wait for up to 5 years (one primary source says for 5 years, another says for up to 5 years, so take that with a grain of salt).
- Use Opus 4.6 with high effort level without thinking, it performs the same as Sonnet 4.6 in some cases, and Sonnet 4.6 High Thinking vs Opus 4.6 High are wildly different in which Opus 4.6 High matches with Sonnet 4.6 High, and also Opus 4.6 High uses less tokens than Sonnet 4.6 Thinking.
- Use Haiku 4.5 if you wanna go with the basics. It still uses the old extended thinking mode. No effort level
- Use Opus 3. It's pretty okay. No thinking mode. No effort level.
If any guys have anything to add, please feel free to comment! It is pretty stressful to be honest because Sonnet 4.6 High is and always has been the model that just works for me. Thank you :)
