Help with evidence against keto (and pcos?)

Hii, my cousin is thinking of starting keto because she read online that it might make her lose weight and help her come off the pill (she has pcos). Help with evidence to contradict her? even random websites are ok, she doesnt look too much into stuff, the easier the begter (or in general that high meat diet doesnt help those things)

The different way people treat/talk about animals

I saw this post about chickens, everyone was supporting and replying to the post with other killing methods.

I find an equivalent for dogs, post removed in a couple of minutes and all comments were negative. Says a lot about society.

Unpopular opinion: if you cant afford to have roos then dont buy/hatch chicks

Had enough of the "roo or hen?" posts that say they cant have roos when they deliberatly bought/hatched chicks instead of directly buying grown hens. Have some responsability, you are not a child. Its not their fault they are roos, its your fault for taking the risk and not accounting for the consequences and now they are the ones paying the price

Might have injected into a nerve? help, pain

So, like 2 weeks ago i did my intramusular t shot (once every 3 months, 1000 und) but i mistakenly did it in my upper inner quadrant instead of the outer one and very deep (it was the first time doing it for the person that helped me). I tried not to think of it, it was already done anyway.

Now, i just realized that since then sometimes i get this terrible terrible pain exactly around that spot. It happened like 5+ times and its a very deep very bad pain i have to take painkillers that dont do barely anything. I am just now realizing it might be linked to that because its the exact same spot and i never had that problem before (i am now in pain too, 2 weeks after, its like flare ups in some days).

details: injection day 28 of may

needle: 23Gx1 1/4" 0.6x30mm

what to do?

My apologies to americans, i am revaluating your culture.

There has long been discussion on whether an "american culture" exists: is it just a mix of other imported cultures, or is it its own thing? Does it even matter? Some people say it doesnt because its just big macs and school shootings anyway.

Well, everytime i get to savour american chips i realize i dont care about all of that debate. i dont care about anything. only the heavenly bites of deliciousness in front of me. I never tasted chips so tasty. i almost weep. We italians cannot compete. Many people around the world appreciate italian food. But one thing is clear to me: we have lost on the chip front. Every single chip has so much flavour, every bite is worth it. I raise my hands in defeat. I cannot comprehend how something can taste this good.

Muscovy ate rotten eggs, pale caruncles, will she be ok?

Hiii, so my muscovy was broody and sitting on fertilized eggs. It would have been now around the time the chicks should have come out.

But noticing the terrible smell i realized it was not her poop but the nest. So i took her out and gave her a forced cold bath to try and break the broodiness (i dont have much experience with ducks, i have chickens).

That's when i noticed she had 8 eggs initially, now she had 2. So she probably ate them, not sure when exactly because i didnt want to mess w the nest too much. Let's just say that when i tossed the eggs in the trash one EXPLODED with a loud BOOM, tfhe other was green inside like spoiled milk.

She stank so much, when i put her in the water the putrid smell quickly went to the water as well, and then on me because she splashed me so much some of it went in my mouth and now i smell as well.

She is pale pink instead of red, she has been pale for a while now but i just assumed she was dehidrated.

Will she be ok? she has now joined the other hens and will have no access to the nest.

(edit: she was on them for a little less than a month)

this morning in Khan Al-Ahmar, israeli settlers accompanied by the israeli occupation were filmed attacking, mutilating and filming a helpless dog, seen limping with a severed leg, during a raid on the village.

Meanwhile baby girls being killed in the womb just bc of their gender in parts of the globe:

It's exactly the same if not worse than being disappointed! /j

(lets ignore that dads being disappointed ab having girls is normalized)

"Why heal her when we can just buy 5 more?"

I have no words. I have a sick hen that i love so much, she's a pet to me but not to my parents. She is just 1 year old and is very sick.

They are like "chickens do that, every time they show symptoms like these they just die in a few days, it happens". They are so against taking her to a vet and even see it as ridiculus and laugh at my face.

I dont know how i managed to find a vet that can see her for just €60 (he's doing me a favour, just making me pay for what he uses and not his time) but is so far away, without my parents support i had to take a train a metro a bus and then walk, like a 3 hour trip in the heat of summer. And this all just to get her to a volunteer (also doing me a favour) that then can make a car trip and get her to the vet.

And now, im back and left the hen w the vet, they were criticizing me and making ME seem like the mad one, saying "we can just buy 5 more for the same price you paid, its a waste of money".

AND we are about to have chicks (i was AGAINST this, because it will mean that if they are roos they will kill them, "we cant just have them eat food and live for free"). im so mad. they said it like it was a good thing too, that my father went behind my back to buy the fertilized eggs. Like i can just replace her like she is an object. I'm hoping they dont hatch. Im even thinking ab sabotaging the eggs while the embrios are still small (but then what will stop them from just buying more? we have a broody muscovy that is keeping them warm, so i would also have to stop her from being broody)

We are monsters

My baby is actively dying because we decided to breed chickens to make so many eggs it starts to break down their bodies so soon. Its not fair. We are fucking villains. I am so sad and angry.

These might be her last moments but at least she is spending them with a friend

No avian vet near but i got in contact with a vet far away and she made me do various tests to see what it is and what we can do. She said she thinks it's her abdomen and not the leg, so nothing i can fix myself. She will likely die. My parents are against going to the vet for chickens because they dont see them as pets. i am devasted. i have to study for a very hard exam but i reslly cant do anything all day because i want to escape reality. And it feels so egoistic and stupid for me to even be thinking about an exam while she is actively dying. She is my baby. I love her so much im devasted.
