Whirlpool side by side fridge has a lot of dripping ice in the freezer

I have a whirlpool side by side fridge that was repaired maybe 3 years ago with a new sealed system. I started noticing maybe a few months ago that's a freezer always had a lot of dripping ice as you can see in the photos. All the food is still cold. The fridge does make weird noises though, but it's been doing that for a really long time.

Anyway I just looked at the seal and I'm wondering if the seal is slightly off and that could be why it looks like it's constantly thawing like this?

What can I do to prevent any potential future damage?

Is there a device to track water usage on a toilet?

I am having extremely unusual water usage at a property that has three units and commingled water bills. I cannot bill each tenants separately. It's literally several hundred gallons of water every few days in the middle of the night so I'm pretty sure it's a toilet but everyone is saying it's not them. Is there a relatively easy way to install like a water meter reader on a toilet? I know there are smart ones that connect to the internet for the entire home, and I know that there are ones that attached to the water meter, but I'm just looking for one that can install for just one device and doesn't need Wi-Fi or anything.

Destashing hair tools! Straighteners, curlers, etc

Hi lovelies!

I requested to join the BST group but also posting here for visibility.

Looking to destash some of my hair tools. They've all only been tested with extremely minimal usage, as my hair started to get damaged over time and now I do not heat style.

I have:

Hair dryers

Hair curlers

Curling sets (with 5 different attachments)

Straighteners

Hot air curlers (NOT the super fancy brand name ones though!!)

I also have several hair removal devices - they ended up not working out for me great with light hair but if you have dark hair light skin they should work!

Prices between $10-$60 plus shipping. Please DM me!

Also just thought I would keep putting this out there but I will trade literally anything for a dual suspension scooter or ebike in the New England area.

Cat urine suddenly not clumping

The weirdest thing is happening. I have two cats and have always used a clumping litter. It's always been fine. But lately, some of the urine has not been clumping. I thought it was a litter at first so I poured some water into it and it clumped perfectly. This has never happened before. I've had the cats for years. Could something in their diet be causing their urine not to clump anymore? The clump literally just falls apart.

What does this defrost pattern mean?

The freezer was blowing air and the fan was freely moving. The air did not feel very cold. The fridge is room temp. The pass-through section going from the freezer to the fridge was not blocked. The very top of the coil as you can see here was frozen.

If it's a freon issue and I have to hire a freon repair person I'm just going to buy a new fridge. I unplugged it completely, should I plug it black in or is it not even worth trying at this point?

Has anyone from the UK recently ordered acuvue for Astigmatism

I have been hearing that people have noticed a packaging and maybe a formulation change. I sometimes buy contacts from the UK and wondering if anyone from the UK has noticed the new packaging or if maybe the formulation there has stayed the same?

What are these tiny bugs that are in the soil of my mint plant?

I have lots of tiny little bugs that I just discovered are under the mint plant on my balcony. They don't appear to be like on the leaves at all But if I pick up the pot and gently thump it down dozens of them come pouring out. They move very fast and I'm afraid they're going to get into the other plants on my balcony if they haven't already.

Tiny relatively fast moving bugs?

I have a mint plant on my balcony and I moved to the bottom today and a million tiny dark little fast moving bugs spread in every direction. They're so small I literally can't take a photo but they're kind of long shaped and they move pretty fast and they're all over the ground.

Registering for an LLC in a different state

I had an LLC and dropped it to a sole prop to avoid paying $500/year in my state. I am thinking of registering for an LLC in a cheaper state, mainly to be able to get a business card that heavily accepts LLCs over sole props.

I have no offices and no employees, only contractors. Do I still need to file as a foreign entity in my state?

Alternatively, what if I just filed an LLC for, for example, selling my goods on ebay. Would I still need to file as a foreign entity?

My actual previous LLC is fine as a sole prop, so I just really need the LLC status and not for any particular purpose connected to my business itself.

Why are my dishes turning out bland? Rice pudding and fried rice

I've been making some rice dishes lately and they've all been coming out kind of bland.

First I tried this lobster sticky rice and I already know that everyone's probably going to say the reason why it didn't come out right was because I didn't fry the lobster. I was given a bag of pre-cooked pre-shelled lobster so I use that instead. But I followed the rest of the directions to the T and I added MSG. Still bland. So is using the lobster infused oil the single missing ingredient? And if that's the case can I use lobster bullion?

https://thewoksoflife.com/lobster-sticky-fried-rice/

This rice pudding recipe I followed to the t exactly. I'm trying to get a rice putting similar to rice to riches in New York City, they have a mascarpone rice pudding that's amazing. Going by the ingredients the only difference that I noticed is that they may add egg to their rice pudding in this one does not. It tasted pretty good especially with the sour cherries but it definitely tastes like it was missing something. What would you try to kind of give it that restaurant quality? My partner suggested more vanilla, I was thinking maybe more salt?

Help! Can I clean up my own bangs??

I want these forehead hiding side swept bangs. My old hairdresser left!! I have a job interview on Tuesday. I tried to trim them myself and it looks....like I cut my hair myself at home. I'm nervous to go to a new hairdresser because I went to two others before and they did not cut it well.

Is there any trick to cutting bangs like this at home? Maybe a super easy to follow video I can watch and try?

Are these bikes worth anything?

Wondering if any of these look like they could be worth anything off the bat? I can go get them for free but wondering if it's worth the drive.

I printed a FedEx label from eBay and dropped it off at the post office and now the tracking is not working

I printed out a FedEx label for an expensive electronic and accidentally brought it to USPS. I was about to leave but the post office actually said they could scan it. The shipping label had two barcodes on it. So this was physically scanned in at the post office.

However, the item still has not arrived to the buyer And when I look at the FedEx tracking it has no information at all. I can't find the USPS tracking because the label is now listed as expired.

What is going on? Is there any way to figure out what the USPS tracking was on the label to attempt to track my package?

Making Cantonese fried lobster with already cooked lobster

So I LOVE LOVE Cantonese fried lobster with the chilis and garlic and the delicious batter.

https://imgur.com/a/Eemasu4

Two questions:

  1. What is this dish actually called? When I Google for recipes I'm mostly getting ginger scallion lobster which is still delicious but not the same

  2. I have a package of fresh already cooked in shelled lobster meat. Is there any way to kind of mimic this recipe without using whole raw lobster? I'm afraid that I will overcook the lobster if I fry it.

Help with potato puree - I only have russets, should I boil or bake?

I've been making a ton of potato puree recently. Last time I used what my store calls butter gold potatoes, I have not seen Yukon gold. My method is to boil them until tender, and then I take them out and rice them using a rolling garlic press (I don't have a ricer but looking at photos this does the exact same thing, it just puts out little teeny pods of potatoes)

Last time I did this, the little pods would not mix and disintegrate into puree. I added cream and butter and little lumpy pellets remained. I ended up pushing it all through a sieve And it was the most delicious thing I've ever eaten but it took a really really long time.

This time I got russets. But it doesn't research and I actually don't think this is the right potato for puree, as I don't really want a light and fluffy mash I want like the French puree style.

Will boiling them or baking them make any difference in the texture for the outcome? I read that these potatoes can be overworked and become gluey. If I do my method of "ricing" them and then pushing through a sieve will they become too glue like?

Thank you so much!

Is there any negative to being a part-time worker in terms of status?

I'm thinking of applying as a part-time or on call staff, partially because I like banquet work and partially for the benefits. I know they previously used to not even allow you to have a bonvoy account if you were an employee but I believe that they changed that since COVID. But are there any negatives?

Do you earn the same number of points and nights on mmp rates? Or whatever the rate is for an actual employee?

I know that you generally can't use your nua on any kind of discounted employee rate correct?

If I were a employee and I booked a normal rate, do you normally get treated any differently? Fewer upgrades etc? Do you find that staff ever treat you differently?

Linking Amazon account - any concerns?

I have a LOT of Amazon receipts so I'm tempted to link but I'm very nervous. Do they still ask for your Amazon password?

Can I forward my Amazon order emails to a different email than your primary? Someone posted about this a while back and I want to give it a try.

I need a tooth implant and I'm having decision paralysis on who to go to

I was told by my dentist and by people on this sub when I posted the photo that I need a tooth implant. I am petrified but I have mostly made peace with it. I have now found myself with decision paralysis on finding a place to do it.

What would be some things that you would look out for? It's so frustrating that I am unable to find out the cost of the procedure at each provider unless I go for an appointment which will cost over $100. I am basically unable to price compare. It is my understanding that nobody does free consultations for dental stuff which I totally understand but without that, how would you guys decide what dentist to go to for something as serious as an implant?

My dentist doesn't do them so they would have to refer out.

When do NUA usually clear? What are chances of getting up to 1bed?

We are visiting Edinburgh and the hotels are absolutely insanely expensive since the last time we went. LIFE! Ugh.

It is me and my partner and their mother so we need two separate living areas for sure.

I came up with a brilliant idea but I'm not sure if it ever work because I never use my NUAs.

What are the chances that I could book a room and use an NUA to try to get a guaranteed upgrade to a place that has a one bedroom suite so that we could split the room? I think I'd be a lot more economical than booking two rooms. I know upgrades almost never clear in the US but it was really easy in Asia (I never even used my certificates) And I'm wondering what everybody's experience in the UK was.

My plan was to have like a backup booking of two rooms at a cheaper hotel. See if it clears and then cancel the backup. But it looks like in order to get a one-bedroom, the upgrade would have to jump several from the cheapest rate to the highest. Am I better off booking a mid-tier room? So it's only the one level upgrade? Do you think it would clear in time for me to know that I could cancel my second hotel if it has like a one or two day cancellation policy? Is this idea just totally stupid?

Washing machine is making loud noise and not drying clothes

This commercial laundry machine has been making a loud rattling noise, and there are reports that the clothes coming out are really wet.

Could these two things be related? I'm wondering if the back panel is just loose because the vibration seems like just a natural vibration of the drums spinning. But what could be causing it not to properly dry clothes if it's spinning fast which appears to be what's happening in the video?
