I’m doing The Tempest and Hamlet for A levels, I’ve read the texts thrice, I’ve read multiple analysis
/papers on it, I’ve watched the plays on YouTube, etc’. I’d really appreciate more tips 😭 I’m homeschooled for context and I’m studying on my own without any tutors, any tips would help me. I have to evaluate critics opinions for Hamlet, I also don’t have to do comparisons
I really need to pull some all nighters, I need energy drink recs 😭 I don’t really drink them
I have the option to do either Augustus or Aeneid for my Classics A level Roman Civ paper. I’m interested in both, Ik both are different, one is an epic and the other is history. I’m doing Alexander for Greek Civ even tho I had the option to do Aristophanes plays too. For Aeneid, I have to do books 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12. I’m not really planning to do any other epics at the moment but I might change my mind, I have the option to do either Homeric Epics or 4 Tragedies, I’ll most likely go with the tragedies

Is it okay to listen to subliminals? I’m not talking about the beauty, weight loss, wealth, etc’ ones. Basically I’m struggling so much with my studies as in I cannot sit down and study properly everyday cuz I feel really tired and I keep procrastinating but I have life threa- I mean life determining exams in less than 3 months, it’s crucial that I focus or else I’ll need to wait another year and that would be so bad, I’m really skeptical about these subliminals but my best friend keeps suggesting them to me, she says it helps her a lot to listen to these whilst studying. I mean I’ll be real, I’m very skeptical about it but I’m so desperate I lowkey wanna give it a try but idk if it’s wrong islamically tbh, I don’t wanna do anything that isn’t permissible, my best friend isn’t Muslim

I’ve been saving up for Air M4 but then the price increased and every retailer here ran out or changed the price, so I really couldn’t get one, price for Neo had also turned into the previous price for M4. So rn I don’t need a laptop other than for some light work as I’m a student on gap year but next year I’ll be going to uni, I plan to sell my Neo, save up and get an M5. How can I make sure my Neo is in the best condition possible for future selling? I’m not a laptop person or tech savvy at all, I’m a humanities student, this is my second laptop after being on Thinkpad, I use it for essay writing and reading but I read on my IPad as well. I really want an M5 for next year tho
How important are the essays? Are they as important as the entrance tests for other courses? I’ve seen history students say they used their A level coursework but I’m an international student, my exam board doesn’t have coursework. I do have some essays I wrote for super curriculars and I’m planning to write more but I have no idea whether my research interests would be good enough or fit with Cambridge history
Are there any papers or articles or interpretations that compare Prospero to God (Abrahamic), Ariel to angel and Calliban to the devil. Prospero as God controls everything through Angel (Ariel) and devil (Calliban) fallen after an evil action and persuades or influences Stephano to take over? Something along that line
Idk every single one of my friends has been sending me the reels and calling it super romantic, even the ones that generally don’t find things romantic, I’m a hardcore romantic, I find a lot of things romantic but for whatever reason this didn’t appeal to me… I genuinely don’t get the hype, I thought it was a reckless thing to do 😭 but everyone’s on about it… ig I’m a “quiet” gesture kinda girl lol. Anyway I’m sick of seeing this
Salams sisters. So I have exams coming up in 3 months and I was not entirely sure of doing them this year, I was going to register late just to be sure but this one subject wasn’t available on this general registration thing, so I had to go a request it but they made me register there 😭 so now I have to sit that exam since I paid for it… please please do dua for me that it becomes more easy for me and I get the highest grades in all my subjects and everything is easy for me and stays in my memory and i feel less sleepy and tired…
What are some characters that has OCD in classic books or plays?
Plutarch or Arrian for Alexander? I currently have a physical copy of Plutarch, so I thought I’d start with it but should I read Arrian first? I can read it on my iPad until my copy arrives but I prefer physical books. I’m also reading textbooks and other modern works, so ik the background things
Sitting the exams this October, around how many hours should I spend on maths for the next 3 months to get an A? And how many past papers? Ik it’s different for everyone but I want to know what worked for other people
An ai generated ad for Deira City Centre came up on my insta feed 🤮 are Al Futaim broke now?
I feel so indecisive 😭 which one should I get?
I'm an international applicant and I want to apply to Cambridge for History or Classics. I'll be 22 when I'm applying, so I'm going to apply to a mature college, my studies were previously disrupted due to illness.
So I'm going to do A levels in Classics, History, Literature this October along with AS in Maths and Biology. I'm going to apply to Cambridge in January mature applicants round, so I'll have 3 achieved A levels plus AS in Maths and Biology with pending A2 (complete A level) in May 2027. I was wondering whether this is okay or should I complete Biology this October as well?
Ik it’s bad rn but will it increase even slightly? I really need to sell somethings for an emergency
I’m aware this is the transfer subreddit but I don’t think the other ones can offer me good advice on this. I’m an international non traditional student, I want to apply to Yale Eli Whitney, Columbia GS and Brown RUE but I heard someone say that Yale Eli Whitney never accepted international students? I want to know whether I have a chance as an international. I was also wondering whether I should do SAT and APs, I have 5 A levels in Classics, Literature, History, Maths and Biology, all A stars, I also have academic super curriculars like research and essays in my interested fields, I’m applying to the UK as well. Should I bother doing SAT on top of this? My education was severely disrupted due to illness, now I finally want to go back into academia, I’ll be 23 by the time I apply. I might to do A levels in Chemistry and Further Maths as well in May
