Temperament at an early age

Couple weeks ago I posted a discussion topic on telling puppy personality early on- well they’re a little more developed now (5 weeks) and we’re sorting through personalities and people! (For anyone remembering, my MIL rescued a pregnant German shepherd) anyway the one I have fallen in love with I have spent ample time with her and am curious if these qualities will continue to develop- 1. She’s still not a barker and will whine occasionally but not much barking 2. She’s still more laid back than most of her siblings and will let them run to the pen opening and she’ll be sitting right behind watching the chaos unfold 3. She appears to be very confident and recovers well to startling noises (often settling back to resting or noticing the sound and continuing to play) 4. She’s is very calm being held and tolerant of feet, ears and tail being touched or her food being touched 5. She’s coming to her name and catches on to things quickly but some of this could also be the fact that I spend a good amount of time around her

Curious if anyone knows what this says about her personality! Once again fun discussion about puppy personality development and also some homing ideas if anyone has some!

Will be honest though I am considering getting her trained in service work depending on how she develops at 7/8 weeks (doing some temperament testing then)

When do you know when to dive back in?

I’ve taken a break year from continuing my LPC-A- I’m moving, was completely burnt out and I decided to take a gap 9mos-1 year while I transition to getting married and moving. So, how do I know when to go back in as a therapist after having to do my own trauma work, help with burn out and work towards my LPC-A again? Much appreciated!

Was I groomed?

TW- potential grooming mentioned, nothing explicit; feel like I’m coming to terms with a lot that has happened to me and I always had a sense that I was groomed but I’ve never been able to accept it-

He (said he was like 17/19, don’t remember specifically) gained my (at the time 14/15) trust and he knew I couldn’t talk to my parents- he would always say he wanted to meet me and he kept pressuring to video chat, when we did video chat I noticed his voice was way deeper and older sounding than he said he was. He said I seemed mature and liked my voice. He told me a lot of good things but I kept feeling pressured to do more and more and he always mentioned how he wanted to see me. He helped me constantly with my mental health and checked in on me a lot. My mom found out before he could ask for anything explicit. But it left me feeling grossed out and it’s always stuck with me.

Does this sound like it was grooming? Some of my friends had it worse so I have a hard time believing something happened

$5 headshot commissions- details below!

Hours got cut at work and I need some extra money for gas, food and credit card bill anything helps! Thank you!

TOS- will accept Venmo/Paypal and once I receive payment you can get a JPEG and PDF version- once I accept a commission and confirm it with you, I aim to have the commission done within the next 3 days. I would prefer if you have art of your sona already however if you don’t I can work with you to understand your fursona however the process of doing the commission may take slightly longer as I aim to get everything just right- I do minor background work for these commissions, enough to add some flair but not super detailed- I can also make it more badge friendly with name added and white/colored outline if you would like

Example above but I have more examples if you need!

Does it ever get quiet

Does the screaming and the yelling stop? Does your body ever feel safe? Do men ever feel safe? Do you ever feel hope again? Do you ever trust again? I’m thinking about getting a service dog to make public spaces easier but sometimes it just all feels so hopeless. The lack of justice and I see it all. I get everyone’s bad parts but no one can handle me and I have to carry it all

Missing Fiancé after a day?

So I’m new to having a happy relationship, we’re engaged and he’s a first responder (24/48 shift). Well do you guys that are happily married still miss your partner after not seeing them for a few hours/ day? I’m able to enjoy my time alone (and sometimes even ask for alone time) but I often think about how my morning would be nicer if he was with me or just simply in the room doing his thing. I’ve been rejected in this “missing” feeling in the past so part of me feels wrong for it but part of me feels like it’s good that I miss him in the mundane stuff

How can I stop viewing myself as a sexual object in a healthy relationship

TW- trauma mentioned- Sparing some details out of respect for my relationship- I have been in a healthy relationship and it’s changed my whole thought of how I thought I was viewed and how I should even view myself - he brought up some concerns and I realized that I view myself as a sexual object. As a result I tend to be hypersexual and overemphasize how much I want to be wanted sexually, half the time it’s not even drive, it’s just purely how I thought a relationship was supposed to be and who I’m supposed to be as a woman. Over my entire life I’ve heard that “I’m a sexual target as a woman” “All men want are sex” “Guys always talk about sex with women (in a degrading way)”. It didn’t help that I had two friends go through sexual trauma when I and they were at 12 and 14/15. I also accidentally found hardcore porn when I was 11 and was in porn for many years which i believe screwed with my view of a healthy sexual relationship- now being in this relationship it feels like I’ve been seeing the world with sunglasses and he just put regular glasses on me for the first time. So how can I draw boundaries with myself and start viewing myself not as this object and be content outside of sex?

Puppy personality at an early age

So, I thought this might be a fun topic to discuss as I’m getting a puppy )- so I got pick of the litter and have gotten attached to one in particular (I am around this liter consistently as it’s a rescue mom liter from my MIL- well I was curious about how much of her personality will stay the same/how much of her personality can I learn as I observe her now at 3 weeks old She is pure bred German shepherd

Currently, she loves laying on her back (in my arms and when with her siblings) and she’s the only one who does this consistently- she is also a more quiet puppy compared to her VERY vocal siblings who like growling and howling ALOT - she will on occasion make a little bit of noise but I haven’t heard her try to bark or howl so I’m wondering if she will be a quiet dog- she also is more independent of her siblings and hangs usually more by herself or with only one other sibling, when they are also wondering about she mostly will just calmly sit/lay by me and sometimes wonder around, she is also a huge cuddle bug and will contently lay on her back in my arms like a baby, she is also a very tolerant pup and seems to be very “go with the flow” with handling and being touched- so how much can be understood about her personality (if anything) from this early age?

For reference of my curiosity, I currently have a 1 year old blue heeler that traits held true from about 3/4 weeks old (as I was being told by his breeder)- for instance, he was quieter compared to his liter mates from a young stage and he is still a quiet dog (I maybe hear him bark 1/2 times a week), he was also a cuddle bug as a pup and loved being held (he is now a clingy little missile and will go anywhere I go and eats attention like soup) he also was more independent from his liter mates but preferred being around people (he now is indifferent to dogs and is a people dog) However, he was a calm puppy and true to Heeler nature is now a mixture monster energy drinks, steroids and good vibes- but he is very disciplined, easily trainable and makes for the perfect Heeler (herds effectively, independent, but will follow command if needed and doesn’t hurt the animal) so some of his personality stayed the same and of course he developed more since young pup

This is just for fun and yes I am fully prepared for another Red Bull missile of a GSD if it comes to that lol

TDLR- how much puppy personality can you tell from early on in puppy hood. The puppy I’ve gotten attached too is more independent from her liter mates, is currently a huge cuddle bug, pretty tolerant, not very vocal compared to her very vocal liter mates and loves laying on her back

Trainings for service dog

Hello! It’s been recommended to me to get a service dog (by Doctor)- currently I have a puppy prospect that I’m able to get (pure bred GSD) I have lots of experience in dog training and socialization (especially in high drive breeds) so I will be home training due to finances- however I am making sure I would be (eventually) training for the right tasks and wanted to get others opinions

For POTS - I tend to pass out/get light headed and it’s happened in some distressing areas so for this disorder I would be using DPT while I pass out or get light headed as that would decrease the anxiety and create a barrier between me and others; I would also be training in pick up tasks as when I’m having a bad day it both tires me out and can make me light headed

For bipolar- once again DPT to help calm me down during episodes and slight emotional support when I’m extremely anxious/depressed; Also medication reminder at night; also a grounding task by nuzzling at hand when I feel panic

She would not (and will not) be trained for stabilization, self harm prevention or alert- my goal is safety for me and her

With all that said - are there any other tasks that I can add without overwhelming her or any advice for tasks I would be needing in this post?
