Elderly mother is 83 recurrent UTIs

My mother is 83 years old she has been dealing with chronic UTI for at least a year or 2. She has been hospitalized with severe UTI in the past. The hospital Dr gave her estradiol cream . She threw it away didn’t think it was important . Saw a gynecological urologist who reviewed her case did injection in the bladder twice to give relief. She again has a Uti. I recc again she get the cream and explained how to use it.
Here is the thing when I was a child I remember my mother always wiping back to front. ALWAYS! I highly doubt she ever changed the way she handles her business down yonder and I believe this is the reason she keeps getting UTI or is at least aiding in it. I have tried to explain this to her and she said there is no way to do it any other way because of her bad back. She has a bidet which I know she uses but still I guarantee this is causing this problem. Do I contact her Dr and tell them ? What should I do?

Mechanic

Hey everyone! My son in law is a local certified mechanic and has been working on vehicles for a while. He enjoys helping people figure out what’s actually going on with their vehicles, especially when they’ve been given conflicting information or aren’t sure whether a repair is really necessary.
He is always happy to share his experience, answer questions, or point someone in the right direction when he can. Thought since there are probably plenty of car owners in the group who occasionally have a question about something their vehicle is doing he can try to help!
Always glad to help a fellow car owner when he can! I am located in Silver Lake but for some simple jobs I can do mobile work 🔧

Mechanic services

I hope this allowed. I am just trying to help get his name out in case anyone needs help. My son in law, lives in Silver Lake, is a certified mechanic. He is servicing Fort Wayne and surrounding areas. Some jobs can be mobile. He is stepping out on his own, trying to get his own business going. He says he will beat and quote on larger jobs and can also do your basics. He can do electrical and diagnostic repairs as well and has the scan tools and testing equipment for it . If anyone is in need of a good mechanic DM me for his info.

Mods please don’t delete. iPhone got hacked by cash App

She called her bank. The bank told her she needed to take her phone into AT&T and have it wiped clean and bring receipt into the bank to prove it’s been done and they will access her to have banking on her phone again. She has contacted cash app.

My question is when we look into doing this it says AT&T won’t do that they will just tell you to do it yourself . If she does a factory reset what should she do with her pictures to be able to still access them? I don’t want her to send them to cloud because I don’t think she can access them

50 and started OM and finasteride almost two years ago

I was never diagnosed with anything I do have low iron but it was still in normal range . I am a blond and I was starting to see through my hair on my scalp especially in front. I asked my derm she didn’t seem too interested in offering anything so I asked my PCP and he was happy to prescribe 2.5 mg OM and 1mg finasteride . While I have had noticeable changes I am still thinner on top so not sure if it will ever change. My question is why am I still shedding so bad? If I wash or brush my hair I get a ton of hair especially in the drain in my hair catcher . When I do my hair my hands always have hair all over them . Also should I be watching for any side effects on my organs ? Does anyone have their liver or kidneys checked while taking this ?

Not bad for a Dollar Tree polish

Yes I have shorties but even shorties deserve some prettiness 😌 I will top it with my Essie clear coat and hope for great lasting results

Getting blood work this week to test my T. Provider said if needed would give the cream

I have read mixed reviews for the cream and I really don’t want to waste my time. Is it a good starter before heading to injections? If so I will try it but I will have to get a new provider if I move up to injectable T

Vitamin C turned gritty and it is only a month or two old.

I purchased a bottle after running out out of my Timeless about a month or so ago. It is still in the box and I keep in the refrigerator. I have been using about 3 times a week and yesterday I went to squirt some onto my hand and when I applied to my face to rub it in it dead like sand was in it. Has this happened to anyone else? I still have a lot of product left . Do I return it ? Surely it is supposed to last longer than a month especially in the fridge .

Membership

We have a membership program in our office that we use a company to handle for us . Our dentist wants to move it in house but we are struggling figuring out how to charge patients. If that money goes on their account then it looks like a credit we don’t want that so how do they pay for it but not “attach” it to their account to look like that. Reference we use Eaglesoft. Is there something in Eaglesoft we can click on when applying that membership payment ?

Purchased blind only to realize I already have this scent

These two scents are the same . I already have 2 of the Musk and I just purchased 2 of the Oud after reading reviews how good it was 😩 I guess I will return them. Uggh why don’t they just keep the scents they have instead of just putting a different label on them and only offer them online so we can’t smell. Frustrating

Father in law (80) not diabetic is an alcoholic and his legs didn’t use to look like this . Height is approx 6’2 weight is approx 300 now. Walking has become very difficult.

He is a daily mixed vodka drinker (lemonade or OJ) starts around 10 am and ends when he goes to bed around 11:00. He sits at a bar stool in his kitchen all day every day. Only gets up to use the restroom and maybe to do some daily things around the kitchen.
His legs never used to be this bad but over the last few years they have gotten very bad. We are so worried about him and keep telling him he needs to prop his feet up. He is adamit he does not want to stop drinking. We are just scared for him that he will lose his legs and end up in nursing home. He sees a PCP to have his heart checked annually and for regular appts for his inhaler water pill and meds ect. I don’t know if he just doesn’t check his legs like ever or thinks this is normal for him. His wife says the Dr gives “suggestions” but never pushes anything (that’s why he likes this Dr).
We don’t know what to do ..should we ask who his Dr is so we can call and let them know what’s really going on , get the lift chair and hope for the best . How do you convince an alcoholic something is serious?

Visiting Asheville for the first time 👍👎

Hubby and I on a birthday trip here in Asheville.
It’s beautiful and I love all the cute shops and restaurants BUT the vagrants are thick.
Stopped to eat last night and chose to eat outside to admire the quaint beauty of this city and a homeless person walks right up to our table and begs for money and would not take no for an answer.
This morning we go into downtown for breakfast and we can see our car as we are leaving the restaurant but stopped to let our dog potty and beside us is a man not even 80ft from our car as it is getting ticketed for 7 min over our time limit is a homeless man beside our dog smoking meth . How asinine is this city to ticket my car for 7 min over even though we are spending our money to a local restaurant meanwhile a homeless vagrant is smoking meth openly in the street in front of children?
Thanks but no thanks. Although the air bnb is super adorable I will spend my money in South Carolina where I don’t have to walk past this very obvious but not dealt with issue

HRT

I am a patient with Midi but they don’t prescribe testosterone for women in Indiana . I am already on Estrogen and progesterone but my gyno says if I start testosterone I will have a deeper voice and acne and thinning hair “does my husband really want to be married to someone with all those symptoms” is what I was asked. Even though my levels are low. Is there any hormone Drs close to Ft Wayne that will help?
