What if Rhaenys had been shown as dark-haired in the show?

I‘m thinking about how the show would have progressed if Rhaenys had been dark-haired in HotD, like she was originally in Asoiaf?

I think the cinematic decision to make her pale-haired like the rest of the Targs was to make it even more clear how much Jace and Luke didn’t look like the “usual Targaryens”.

What would have been different in the show?

Maffles appreciation!!

He‘s just arrived and ughhh I am SO IN LOVE, he is so soft and chonky and perfectly shaped! I was hesitant to get him at first because he‘s a pricey little guy but I saw him in store and it was over for me.

It’s so dangerous for my wallet to see Jellies in the wild lol!

What are these two dark spots on my lip?

I‘ve never had them before, they just showed up one day and never went away. It must be two months now, I thought they would go away. They appeared for no apparent reason—I don’t smoke, I eat healthily and I always apply sunscreen on hot days.

Can anyone tell me what this is? And how to get rid of it? It really bothers me because it keeps looking like I ate chocolate and have some left on my lip or something.

Is Stellan Sabretooth Tiger supposed to be like this?

A few issues:

  1. his fur is backwards. idk if all the stellans are like this, i have to pet mine from the bottom to the top. this goes for his legs and arms too
  2. the fur of his mane seems very soft but somewhat has a loved look, slash used look. all the stellans i have seen so far have this look but i am not sure if they had been cuddled previously, mine is supposed to be completely new and yet looks a little cuddled already (even tho i have not cuddled him yet)
  3. he has very skinny legs and arms! like, super skinny. this doesn’t bother me at all though.
  4. a little understuffed in his stomach.

these issues don’t bother me that much, except for the first two. is there something wrong with my stellan or are all stellans this way?

Should I get backups for my favourite Jellies?

I know it may seem a little silly but with this huge retirement wave recently, I got a little nervous. My absolute favourite cuddle partners are my Springlowe, Huge Thuddeus and Large Sacha. I would be devastated if they were to retire, I don’t know how likely it is that they will be retired soon, and I‘m scared that if I don’t get a backup now, I may never have a chance to buy them again. I have never washed my Jellies before, so if something were to go wrong somehow and their fur or looks wouldn’t look like before anymore, I would be so devastated☹️☹️

However, unfortunately, they‘re all quite pricey and I am a little squeamish about spending this much money for Jellies I already have… Could maybe someone with experience regarding retiring Jellies weigh in? Or anyone with advice, really. I‘m really torn about this😫

Does Bartholomew Bear‘s fur get that loved look very quickly?

I know the Bashfuls get that “loved” look fairly quickly, but since Bart‘s fur texture is different, I was wondering if it perhaps holds up better.

I am in between getting Maffles Manatee from the summer drop and getting a Huge Bart… I‘m not sure which choice I will make yet but I think Maffles‘ fur might endure more cuddling than Bart. Are there any Bart and Maffles owners that can shed some light on this?

Should I get the new Chloé Paddington bags?

I am allowed a graduation gift and considering perhaps getting a Chloé Paddington! Right now I‘m in between the Miu Miu Nappa bag, the Prada Bonnie and the Paddington. For the Paddingtons, these two colours caught my eye, as well as the dark brown one but they didn’t have it in store.

As a uni student, I would wear it a lot and put my iPad, laptop and everyday things in it. I wore it and it’s not too heavy, my iPad fits in but unfortunately my laptop doesn’t. It’s not as heavy as the older models which I appreciate. I mostly worry about its endurance. I could also do with a little more space but it fits everything I need so far. I‘m mostly just super in love with the design hahah.

What do you guys think?

Why are my panda corydoras doing this?

I have eight panda corydoras in a 65 litre tank for about three months now, and they don’t always do this. But I changed the filter yesterday because the previous one was not working well at all and now they‘re surfing on the glass. This usually is done by two or three corydoras and they stop after a minute or two.

Is this a sign of distress? If so, is it the filter? Or something else? Or are they playing?

Huge Breuninger restock: Nimbus, Brooke Otter, Juniper, Tumblie Sheep Dog, Albee

Go get yours !!

Did they change Brooke Otter‘s fur?

I went to my local store today and finally got my hands on Brooke!! Yayyy!! I am in heaven rn.

However I have felt her in a different store before (when I didn’t buy her and she was then sold out and I regretted it for months) and I could’ve sworn her fur is different now. Softer, somehow, and a little smoother I think? But I’m not sure, I could be wrong.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Is there anyone who Jane would NOT figure out?

Any fictional character! I mean technically he could see through anyone. Would be interested in hearing who you think Jane wouldn’t be able to figure out or at least have a very hard time figuring out!

Can someone explain Apocalypse Now to me?

I just watched the uncut version of the movie, all of it, and idk maybe it’s just me who didn’t understand it. I found the movie understandable in the beginning, it was coherent and followed a clear plot. But the moment the crew gets on that ship, so many things happen that I didn’t understand. It felt like a mix of absurdism, weirdly enough horror?, and I felt like I was missing the point of… something. Idk, the whole scenes where they stop at an army point with no CO creeped me out a little, especially the scene with the Playboy bunnies and the dead woman in the box? How did she die and what happened there? Were they the same people performing for that one event happening before? Anyway, I skipped that scene because it felt so uncomfortable and creepy to me. And when they stopped a Vietnamese boat and just started shooting all of them for no reason… although I guess this could be explained by the fact they were all very tense.

Then, the army point with the whole destroyed carnival scene, where there was also no CO—I didn’t understand what was going on there. For a moment, I thought the soldiers were hallucinating the whole thing because so many aspects of the scene just seemed so ridiculously absurd and unreal, like some sort of nightmare or like they were high. It seemed like the crew was going insane or something, and like the soldiers at the army point were just shooting at nothing with no plan and no one in charge. Following that, I did not understand the scene with the French people either. I may have missed the point of it but in what way was that scene driving the plot forward? It confused me so much. But I suppose it was supposed to symbolise how pointless the war was? Like in that scene where one of the French men tells Willard that the Americans were fighting for nothing.

I initially thought Apocalypse Now was going to be a war movie with a quite unique and different plot, what with Captain Willard being sent to assassinate one of their own. But I didn’t understand all of it, idk just couldn’t follow it and make sense of all of the scenes.

Maybe someone can clear this up for me?

Edit: One other thing in the beginning confused me too: There was a voice recording that was played, the general Willard was supposed to assassinate talked about snails? Crawling up his razor? Or something like that. Either way, it was strange. Was it supposed to symbolise anything? Would love to hear thoughts on it

Is this a mole on my lip? If so, how do I get rid of it?

I have also seen these little spots on my cheeks that look a little yellow and sort of like freckles, except I don’t think they are, and they bother me too…

Watching satc at different ages has made me realise something

I have finished season 6 again and wow, what a journey! Also I had forgotten the end but loved it again lol, like wdym there was all this mystery around Big‘s name just for it to be something super basic like John? So I immediately started watched the movie SATC 1, of course. And I have to say, Carrie has never been my favourite character because she’s not relatable for me, she is my fashion idol because her outfits are so iconic, but regarding relationships, I sometimes just can’t comprehend the choices she makes. I understand she is madly in love with Big, but for a woman her age, I would’ve just thought she would have learned from her mistakes. But in the end, when Big didn’t get out of the car, and there was that scene where Carrie when to Mexico on her honeymoon anyways and she took off her glasses and we see her being so drained, exhausted and tired?

I just felt for her. And felt bad for her. That scene was so emotional for me, because although I have never been stood up at the altar, I have been disappointed over and over again and that was a moment where I just really connected to her. Same with Charlotte‘s miscarriage, Miranda‘s mother‘s death and Steve cheating on her and Samantha‘s cancer. These were all scenes where I cried so hard.

But back to Carrie: I mean, despite her flaws and mistakes, she is just a woman searching for love, and a woman who has been disappointed over and over again, with failed relationships and trust misplaced. The first fime I watched satc was when I was 17, and now that I am 19 and rewatching it, I feel like I have a much more mature perspective on things. I used to have a much more critical mindset and judged Carrie quite harshly but now that my frontal lobe has developed, I feel like I can partly understand. I have never loved anyone like Carrie loved Big yet, but I can see how that kind of intense love can make someone abandon all reason. Looking back, Carrie just really deserved her happy ending too.

However, I don’t think Big was ever going to be Carrie‘s happy ending. He was her epic love, but he was never happily ever after material imo. He clearly had commitment issues and while he may have loved Carrie, he never respected Carrie. Which says a lot about him as a person, too. What Carrie has taught me personally is to look for someone who despite their love for me also respects me as a person.
