I waited about 2 years but had no prior relationship or accounts with Robinhood either and got a 10k limit. Hopefully they've started allowing more people into the system!

Hello, I'm looking to diversify my stack and want to start buying platinum, I usually buy everything off PMsforsale but platinum is rarely posted (though I'm sure I can get some if I post a WTB) but before I do what's a reasonable price point nowadays? I always try to buy as close to spot as possible for all my PMs. I just have been reading that you should expect to pay higher premiums!

My FFL is absolutely overpriced and sells basic 9mm for about 50c a round, I don't shoot that much as im kind of just getting into it but I really enjoy it. Their guns are all $100+ over msrp and they charge $100 if you were to buy a gun online and have it shipped to them plus the background check. Is there anywhere in the Lancaster/Palmdale area that sells ammo for a normal price or is it just gonna be best to get the COE stuff to actually get deals shipped to you? I don't really shoot much as im just getting into it so I don't know if the $150 is justified spending for years of savings vs just buying 1k rnds at a time.

Hello, I'm still hunting for a lightning and I'm wondering if you think I could find a deal like that in today's market. I see quite a few comments about great deals from 6+ months ago but it seems like lightnings have increased slightly on the used market. These trucks are getting traded in for "dirt cheap" (based on KBB dealership trade in values).

I've found a couple in the mid/low $40's but no dealerships will give an OTD price or even move on price over email.

I just sold an item over $750 and I am learning that buyers don't have to pay for the required signature part of shipping something over $750.

It's an extra $4 the buyer should be paying for and not the seller. I don't understand why that's even the case. eBay sucks ass

Hello reddit, I'm scouring the web looking at ER lightnings. I've narrowed down to 2

I'm in Cali

#1: 2022 58k miles lariat with 511A package for 40,338 located in Chicago. They said delivery is available out of state

Only thing I noticed is that at around 45k miles the battery (idk if that means 12v or high voltage) was replaced, the car has no accidents reported and looks to have been well maintained. Idk if I should be concerned or not about that. It also has new tires

#2: 2024 34k miles flash for 46000 with no accidents and antimatter blue. No extra options and I'm not sure if the dealer is gonna negotiate on price but it's located in CA about 2 hours from me. I plan to go in next week and have already contacted the dealership to try to negotiate price, just waiting on a response.

If you had to choose which one would you prefer? I'm okay with 60k miles because the price is exactly my budget and probably add about 2k for delivery. I wouldn't be able to drive or inspect it before I get it delivered though unless I'm mistaken on how that whole process works.

All I really want in my lightning is ACC, ER, No accidents or messed up anything, and a battery that is still well within warranty, The rest is just bonus features for me.

I'm looking at a F150 lightning ER, I commute 90 miles 7 days out of the month and when I compared my fuel costs it kinda blew me away. Gas is like $5.25 where I'm at and my hybrid Corolla gets about 46 highway mileage, somehow I'm still gonna be saving money by driving a lightning when I get one!

The fact that it's cheaper to drive a 5000lb truck than it is to drive a 2000 lb car designed for max efficiency is amazing.

Hey guys I'm having a hard time finding information for the specific scenario that 100% confirms my question.

I work at an old power plant that doesn't have any high tech stuff like new ones but I'm consistently cycling(open and close) 480v breakers at least 5 times a week. I was trained to just stand away, reach with your hand, and open or close the breaker. The pump or motor has a stop to it from DCS before I operate the breaker but do I need arc flash PPE for these events, other than leather gloves and regular PPE. NFP 70E says you need a arc flash hood for 480 or 8cal/cm2 and up but is that only if you're working inside the breaker housing? I can't find a concrete answer

They have us wear a hood for 4160 no matter what and a suit for our generator breakers 13.8kv.

My question is basic but my safety guy at work can't answer it, my generator breaker is 79cal/cm2. When we are in an outage and the generator is disconnected from the grid/offline we have to rack out the breaker so we wear our Cat4 ppe and rack it out.

You always wear PPE when opening closing a breaker even if it is "deenergized" right?

Like a 480v pump on a live bus has a stop command from DCS to it and they want us to cycle the breaker, we need an arc rated faceshield, proper gloves, and proper rated clothes right? I just want to make sure I'm understanding it correctly before I talk to my manager about changing the training stuff since my safety guy is useless. Sorry if it's a dumb question but Ive been told to just use basic PPE and no arc rated face shield for 480v breakers and assumed it was true because my training told me that.

I'm 6'5", 185 with a 38" inseam if that helps other tall people. These would be my main vehicle. I sat in these vehicles and test drove a couple. Long story short, I won't be getting a crossover after going in person unfortunately. Unless the Kia EV3 ends up being magically bigger when I sit in one.

Tesla Model Y: Test drove this one, second best in headroom. However the driving position is just tight for my legs, no room to spread with the center console but the seat goes far enough down and back to easily accommodate someone a lot taller than me but legs don't have good room to spread. Windshield and rearview mirror were great size and I had amazing visibility. Tall person could definitely make it work if they are okay sacrificing some leg comfort.

Hyundai Ioniq-5: This one I didn't test drive but just from sitting in it, there was a lot of leg space with the center console only in the center but the head room was pretty sub par and the visibility out of the front was bad. Small windshield and low roofline. I'm not sure I could comfortably daily commute this but I know a lot of you do.

Mustang Mach E: No. This one has the lowest roofline in person and the seat doesn't go low enough. Bad visibility, the screen and rearview mirror block a large portion of the middle of the windshield . I don't think I'd comfortably daily this. Nicest interior though and most comfortable seats imo.

VW ID-4: Extremely surprised by this one, good visibility, I fit the best in it and it had good placement of the center console for my legs to spread comfortably. However the backseat was almost non existent when I set up my driving position. Definitely could daily this on my commute.

Kia EV9: This is a large SUV I sat in just because but I fit "perfectly" in it and the seat is wide enough where my leg isn't pushing against the center console.

Ford Maverick: This was what I wanted to try out besides an SUV and I fit great in it, the windshield is pretty small and the rearview mirror is in an odd spot but the chair drops low enough and the center console is cut back so your leg isn't pushing into it. Felt very comfortable, going to wait for the fathom and see what happens.

My brother is 24 years old and about 2 years ago got into a relationship, moved into my mom's house (he rents from her at a sweet discount) only a few months into living together they broke up. They continued living together and ultimately she got pregnant, during this time my brother was reasonably freaking out but unreasonably began cheating on her, going into credit card debt, gambling. He was consistently not paying rent to my mom and she enables his choices by bailing him out. He has a job making $19ish an hour full time and his baby momma works part time.

The baby came and she is a light in all of our lives, but my brother has continued living with his baby momma in my mom's house and he calls me at least once a month to complain how he hates her, thinks she's stupid, just wants to leave, hates himself etc. He has a bad gambling addiction and idk just doesn't make the right choices in his life.

I've pushed him to get into therapy and a psychiatrist, which he thankfully went to (my family paid for it -we were happy to do so) and she prescribed him anti depressants which he took for 2 days then chose to stop them because "he knows he just needs to eat healthy and do something productive in order to get his mind back on track" which he never did. Therapy doesn't work for him because "he knows what's wrong".

Thankfully he doesn't do hard drugs and my family (we all live in the same town) is extremely supportive of him, he's never really been grateful for that either so I just view it as enabling at this point. My mom threw him a baby shower and he didn't say thank you, my mom has paid his rent/bills multiple times and he continued to treat her like shit. He also takes no accountability whatsoever for any of his decision making.

All of this is to say he called me today and told me his baby momma was pregnant again. I just don't know how to proceed because we are very close and I don't want to enable him or let my family continue to enable his awful behavior. I asked him about getting a better job and his response was "at some point bro, but stressing on it isnt gonna solve it. I got a lot of stress on my plate already with all the fighting and feeling like shits going no where, lemme be delusional and happy for a bit ".

I know I can't change a person, they have to change themselves but how do I get people to stop enabling this behavior? He is never going to change when he can take advantage of his family's support whenever he wants or maybe I'm just an asshole.

I've been using the banking since I got my gold card and I really like the net Worth tracker that connects so many of my accounts into one easily accessible account that auto updates. I noticed though they don't have a feature to add your stack of gold/silver and then have it tracked, you can only add it manually with one price that you'd have to adjust regularly. Anyone else interested in a feature like this?

So I bought an assortment pack off Amazon aluminum with all different sizes because the parts store charges like $6 for a 2 pack. So my question is does the washer only need to fit around the outside rim of the bolt? or does the diameter of the inside of the crush washer need to match the diameter of the threaded part of the bolt? or both?

The number called her 6 times before she finally answered saying there was a fraudulent charge on her account for like $600 something dollars. She got no texts for any charges and no money was missing, she let the phone call progress and the guy said he'd reach back out from the fraud department so he hung up and called back on a different number. At this point she was told her savings wasnt secure and her checking was secure but the guy told her to send her money to her venmo account.

She ended up doing that and then he said he was going to attempt to secure her phone so only hers could access her money, this is where I came in and she caught me up with what happened so I looked up the number. At this point the guy started telling her to do random stuff that just seemed weird, as if the venmo wasn't already weird enough, he tried getting her to convert her venmo balance into crypto for some reason and at that point I forced her to hang up. The phone call came directly from the navy fed number on the cards

We transferred all the venmo money out to a different bank account and are going to deactivate all the accounts and make new ones for her just in case.

I'm making this post because I just had my first weird ass moment during a home game. It's $1/$2 but we usually do $50 buy ins and it's very swingy, no one is a pro here we are all just friends and acquaintances.

Anyways my friend has been on the bad side of variance recently while I've been having some massive upswings which leads to this weird event. Im up about $900 off of a $50 buy in and my buddy is $650 in the hole, we are in a pot with another guy(~$195) and I flop trips with an Ace kicker. I bet, they both call and then the turn is a blank and at this point I put other guy all in and my friend(last to act) yells at me, "YOU WONT LET ME WIN THIS ONE???" "YOURE UP LIKE $900 DOLLARS!" and I'm like bro wtf no🤣 He was legitimately yelling angrily telling me I should've folded so he could win the pot(he still had the losing hand lmao). Idk I feel weird about it because I tried talking to him after and he tried to act justified, but I was like dude I've been down $300+ and you've never "let me win a pot" and I wouldn't ever ask you that. Just very weird and put me in an awkward spot, I hate when people who are down call out your big stack, just makes me feel guilty I guess.
