Tested the water on Grand Teton for fun

My kids wanted to test the streams on Grand Teton where people placed reed straws to fill bottles. It was hard with some sulfate and no evidence bacteria. The sample was taken from the Delta Lake Loop Trail. Obligatory I’m not a scientist, doctor, lawyer or licensed water tester 😆

Delta Lake Loop humbled and mesmerized me

We set off on the Delta Lake Loop hike at 12 and returned to the car around 4:30pm. That includes a 45 minute stop at the lake and 15 minute stop for bear watching on the way down.

I didn’t research much about the hike so had no idea what to expect at the lake. Holy moly! Even in person it looked like a fake backdrop. We reached the lake in about 2 hours. We are a family with two teens, all fairly fit. Husband is a rescue tech (mountains, water, trenches, etc.) and the rest of us have intermediate hiking experience.

Spent some time at the lake to eat, a quick swim for husband, and then headed back down. I didn’t expect to have to hand and foot climb on a few areas after crossing the rock fall area. Not everyone needed to use hands, but I get a little nervous and feel better leaning forward on the steeper parts going up. Our descent was pretty fast, because I, again, get shaky going down the steep parts and want to get it done asap! If my brain would relax that would be fantastic.

This hike was absolutely worth it. Coming over the last 20 feet and opening up to the lake is so mesmerizing. I was impressed by people who were struggling, but would not give up. There were about twenty people around the lake when we got there.

The bear was about 20 yards from the trailhead. We were able to watch him forage for a bit. Nice end to the hike!!

Vegas Chase Lounge Opinion

Super underwhelming. We got in quickly, around 9:30am on a Monday, which was nice. Four people, sat at a four top table. There was a family next to us with 4 or 5 kids. They were singing road trip songs for way too long. (I’m a mom, I get it, but I would spare other travelers.)

Food options were a breakfast sandwich, breakfast bowl, Cheerios and milk. On the self serve line they had a muffin, a pastry, oatmeal, and a smoothie cup. The smoothie cups tasted rancid. Something was definitely off. They had a small fridge with flavored water and regular Coca Cola. I asked for a Diet Coke, server said she’d check, but never came back to our table. Coffee bar seemed fine. The bar seemed fine as well.

One thing I thought was odd was the lack of anywhere to charge devices. We did ask and they offered a portable charger, but by that point we wanted to be out of the lounge where we could buy good food (and get a dang Diet Coke!)

I felt bad for the people sat at the few lounge chairs and sofa, because I’m sure it was hard to eat there. Anyhow, I know there are many opinions on lounges and this is just one lowly opinion. Wanted to share for anyone wondering what’s offered.

Anyone been recently that can provide an update on construction? Are the other pools still super silty? Or alternate hot spring suggestion coming from Thayne, WY. TIA!

Have Edit booking but forgot the CSR

It’s prepaid through the portal. I forgot my husband’s card, which is tied to the booking. Is this an issue? I do have my CSR, but don’t see how that helps.

Penalized for not pre-booking 24+ hours in advance?

Sorry to be dense, but this does not make sense to me. I’m trying to pre-book for 6:45am tomorrow, which is about 8 hours from now. How does requiring a 24 hour advanced notice help when I can’t even get in prior to 3 hours before my flight? I’m sure there’s logic but my brain isn’t logical at the moment I guess.

Trying to verify a new location in another state but Google says I already have a GBP

I have multiple locations of a business. I am trying to add a new GBP for a location in a different state. Currently, on this new profile only the address is entered. I have not optimized it at all. When I click "Get Verified" the next screen says "It looks like your business might already have a Business Profile on Google Search or Maps. If you see your business below, select it, and we'll help improve your Business Profile." The verified location it's referencing is states away from the new one I'm trying to verify. Is this happening because I don't have any other info on the profile yet? I just want to make sure I'm not screwing something up before I moved forward. Any other thoughts?

Vintage items from Mexico

Are there any flea markets where I might find coffee cans, beer bottles, soda cans, crates, etc from Mexico mid-1900s? Looking for centerpiece things for my FIL’s 80th birthday party.

Also, low cost pre-made paper flowers? I don’t feel like being crafty.

Company and NPO crossover

We have a company that started an NPO. Are there any implications if someone from the company side helps with NPO tasks? Very few tasks here and there, and the tasks align with their job duties on the company side.

Tween makeup “influencer” from 10ish years ago?

My daughter and I are trying to find a girl she loved when she was around 4-5 years old. The girl was probably 12-13 in 2016-17. She did cute makeup tutorials, and often things like Rainbow Dash from My Little Ponies. She had braces and dark hair. Nothing was high end or fancy, sometimes her mom would help her. This was like OG YouTube stuff. Anyone know if she’s still around??

ISO Workouts for elderly

Looking for either class options or personal training for my FIL. He is 80, very stiff from being sedentary. He’s being doing 1:1 sessions but we just found out the cost and it’s way too high for home to sustain. They live at Ingram/410 area. Any suggestions? Bonus if they have a Medicare program.
